MCMLXXVI: I'm telling you! But one thing I don't understand is why many of our brothers from the SW who support APC would lie to themselves all those years with fake IGR stats and charts even when the opposite was the case. It's like watching my own child in agony at the hands of malaria but lying and boasting to my neighbors he's better than their children, until the malaria goes cerebral. Were all these lies just to win an argument on the internet? They believed their own delusions, forgetting every lie has an expiration date. |

[s] mayorkyzo: Governor Okowa is deceiving Deltans with his prosperity promises for Deltans. We have it from a very credible sources that since DESOPADEC was for the Delta South and Central people, he has decided to create a similar thing in Delta north where funds can be fleeted into his private pockets to offset some of his debts incurred during his elections. This is how the ex-governor, Mr. Emmanuel Uduaghan used DESOPADEC to his own advantage to amass wealth for himself.Okowa, Tuesday, sent two bills, namely Technical and Vocational Education Board Bill and Asaba Capital Development Agency Bill to the House for passage and within 24 hours the two bills were given express passage on Wednesday on the floor of the house without the usual debates that follow bills.
SaharaReporters learned this did not go down well with some members of the house especially those from Delta South and Central who have described the Asaba Capital Development Agency Bill as a scam to siphon the state treasury.
A principal member of the house who wanted anonymity confided in SaharaReporters that no area of Delta state that will need a bill before development could be carried out.
"Few of us who are already aware of the evil intentions of the bill wrapped in a 'corrupt foil paper' kicked against the bill immediately it was sent to the house by the governor, because without a bill, Asaba can still be developed like every other areas across the state. The intention of the bill is too corrupt. Some of us who kicked against it were threatened with blackmail and to seize our entitlements if we refuse to cooperate.
"You know the bills came barely three days to the end of the fifth Assembly and as we talk the bills, especially the Asaba development agency bill was not critically scrutinised before it was hurriedly passed just to curry favour from the governor whom has promised the house with some parting gifts. For avoidance of doubts, the Asaba Development Agency bill is a fraud and clannish bill. Some of us had vehemently refused the passage of the corrupt bill but our objection was not allowed to see the light of the day." the aggrieved lawmaker said.
Another member of the House who lost their place during the 2015 general elections, described as unfortunate the Asaba Development Agency bill by the governor, saying the bill is another avenue to drain the state treasury just like what ex-governor, Uduaghan allegedly did with DESOPADEC.
"Governor Okowa is deceiving Deltans with his prosperity promises for Deltans. We have it from a very credible sources that since DESOPADEC was for the Delta South and Central people, he has decided to create a similar thing in Delta north where funds can be fleeted into his private pockets to offset some of his debts incurred during his elections. This is how the ex-governor, Mr. Emmanuel Uduaghan used DESOPADEC to his own advantage to amass wealth for himself.
"All our effort to stop the passage of the bill failed because we were few and some of our members have compromised having been confronted with threats, blackmail and denial of parting gifts and other entitlements. Right from time we know Okowa is a clannish politician which he has already started with his Asaba Development Agency Bill. Where in the federation can you say such a bill is in existence apart from Abuja where similar thing exist because Abuja is no man land and such can be done but not Asaba. I do hope the Sixth Assembly will leave up to expectations unlike our Fifth Assembly which was like a rubber stamp." the lawmaker lamented.
Other lawmakers who spoke with SaharaReporters condemned in its entirety the Asaba Development Agency Bill describing it as ill-conceived bill that has no meaningful bearing and impact on the people rather than to serve some individuals interest.
Meanwhile, it was learned that governor Okowa has also concluded plans to shut down the government house annex in Warri.
An impeccable government house source who confides in SaharaReporters stated that the governor considered the government house annex as a monumental waste perpetrated by former Governors, Chief James Ibori and Emmanuel Uduaghan.
"Delta state has one state capital which is Asaba but Ibori and Uduaghan because of personal reasons well known to them decided to create another government house in warri and governor Okowa has said, a state can not have two capitals and the annex will be closed in the shortest possible time. Okowa is very prepared and ready to reverse so many policies of the Uduaghan government just watch and Deltans will see what will be happening in the next couple of days and weeks." our source stated.
However an aide to Okowa who craved for anonymity said his boss should be left alone to do whatever his mind tells him to do. "It is his turn, Uduaghan has done his and my boss should be left alone. Everybody in Delta know what Uduaghan did with funds accruing to DESOPADEC, so also my boss should be allowed to create his own agency too. While billions of naira will be going to DESOPADEC, billions of naira should also be going to Asaba Development Agency. The state belongs to all of us, so they should leave my boss alone." the aide warned. [/s] RUBBISH |

CFCfan: The difference could be that the ISIS fighters didn't "surrender" to the US forces when American fighter jets were bombing them to smithereens. Under international law, specifically the Vienna Convention, killing an enemy combatant that has surrendered, is a war crime. Torturing captured enemy combatants is also a war crime too.
Therefore, the Buhari administration should thoroughly review the Amnesty Int'l and set definite rules of engagement for Nigerian troops in the theater. I'm not in any way sympathetic to the demonic Boko Haram terrorists, but due process should be observed. Hopefully, you will be at the front lines to observe due process. Whether you are sympathetic to boko haram terrorists is not mine problem but yours. |

gare: It is very sad to see that someone that was the luckiest man in the last sixteen years who should be grateful to God for all God has done for him and his family has thrown caution and decorum away just to act as god, Ameachi you should be thanking God rather than all this problem you're dragging yourself, your family and everybody in Rivers state into.
You came into politics as a nobody, with the guidance of your former mentor Odili you were elected the Speaker of the house of Assembly for 8 years, there after you came into power without anyone voting for you, without any campaign or campaign posters and still you see no reason to thank God instead you want to be God, which you know its not possible and can never happen.
And while you ran to Ghana,Wike held fort for you, and during your reelection this same Wike worked so hard for you, which gave him a seat at the federal level by your recommendations.
I believe all Thees stories are not new to us, now with your experience as a speaker for eight years and a governor for another eight years you have failed in a very simple task of handing over to the new government whether legal or not, you're not in the position to judge allow the courts do there work you have already taken Wike before the tribunal so why don't you remain calm do the needful and wait for judgement.
you never constitute a team to interface with the incoming government, which was the right thing to do and the essence of that was to avert all this noise you and your team are making over looting of government properties, because of a proper stock, assessment and inventory was carried out nobody will accuse you of any wrong doing, but instead of doing the needful you were running from state to state looking for judgement to stop Wike which you know will not be possible after you must have closed the courts in your state and let's be humane here why do you think the judiciary in other states will answer you after you must conditioned their colleagues in your state., if I where you I will save whatever money I have left to manage myself and family because the rainy days for you will be so long.
For having failed in doing what was right Wike has taken it upon himself to check the financial status of the state, you're now crying witch hunting, forgetting that a forum for proper reconciliation was created but you refused to be part of it.
I drove round the city today dirt's and stench everywhere due to you failing to pay contractors, you should be hiding your face in shame rather you come out to defend yourself, I don't know if you have any elder left to advice you if not you need deliverance. Leave us in peace in Rivers state and wait for your judgement, if for any reasons you're found wanting in any issues of misappropriation you will answer for it. Ameachi forgot tomorrow will always come. Yesterday is now behind us. Who is the stranger now? |

BackDatAssUp: Amnesty Int'l's recently released document on gross human rights' abuse by the Nigerian Military indicting key officers for investigation and with Buhari's quick announcemnet to probe the Army hierarchy in the NE is just a calculated move to make way for US co-operation in fighting Boko Haram.
There is no doubt in mind that Boko Haram is a creation of the CIA with full backing of the north.
Obama refused to come to our assistance based on this frivolous allegation but after Jonathan conceded defeat the Obama administration almost immediately announced its intention in supporting Nigeria in its war with Boko Haram.
Buhari is a puppet.
Watch how Boko Haram will fade away into the air like ghosts. The recent bombings by Boko Haram was to trigger a response from Buhari and to accept US "help".
After Boko Haram, you can bet that the US will set up another false flag Terror group in the Niger Delta to discredit any of the other genuine movements. The Niger Delta movement will thus be classed under the same banner with the American backed Terror group who will claim assassinations, bombings and abductions.
The whole world will then for some reason forget Boko Haram and the new bad boys on the block will be in the Delta.
Groups created by the CIA claiming to be Biafran Secessionists will also claim responsibility for bombings. The ND and SE will be targeted. I do not put anything pass the Obama's white house, but any kind of struggle in ND, will always be to Nigeria's disadvantage. Sincerely, I hope they carry out their plans. We have a peaceful movement as of now, but remain ready to fully defend ourselves. |

The Civilian JTF were the killing boko haram while the Nigerian Army under the command of Ihejirika were extra-judicially killing innocent people.

Rawani: You mean the same soldiers that were firing at their senior commanders out of frustration last year? It doesn't get much more demoralizing than that. Methinks it will instill the much-needed discipline instead. When your gang of social media boko haram supporters were sending and spreading false rumors, what did you expect? I repeat you need your army more than ever before, I hope , you and buhari understand this reality. |
Politics › Re: President Buhari To Probe Amnesty International Report On Torture by atlwireles: 1:05pm On Jun 04, 2015 |
BackDatAssUp: It's a simple plan to get Buhari to purge the Military of its officers and then later issue Nigeria a clean bill with respect to "Human Rights Violation" and from there Obama can now begin to both equip the Nigerian Army with weapons and intell, scale back Boko Haram and then take the focus from the NE to the creeks in order to secure the oil wells.
Niger-Delta should get ready to see war.
It's that simple. The creeks will welcome them with open hands and plenty of coffins. Nobi this same Nigerian army, na them go bury themselves tire. Also boko haram is already out of their control. |
