I'm an Igbo man and I don't like the way tribalist are mocking the yorubas because of their fight with the hausa/fualni people .
Mind you it is not all yorubas that were mocking the igbos when the army were killing them in the name of python dance and it is not all yorubas that were saying the Fulani killings in Benue was a lie .

Unfortunately, I don't think this will work.

Even if you attempt to register herdsmen, I highly doubt that the criminal elements among them will come forth to be registered. In the event of a crime, I also doubt that the registered herdsmen, the leadership of MACBAN and/or any heads of local fulani communities will help to identify and hand them over to the authorities.

Then you have the issue of enforcement.

For me, the real solution would be for farmer communities to coordinate amongst themselves and setup local vigilante groups that are well armed and well paid. People need to stop looking up to government and start doing things for themselves. Our leaders have shown that it is their priorities first ahead of everyone else's.

Part of the duties of Amotekun and other vigilante groups, will be to prevent crimes and identify unregistered herdsmen, and promptly arrest them. The people needs the government, it is the people's responsibility to put pressure on their leaders to act.
