AreaFada2: Let me tell you this. The South won't even have the chance to fight a war. The tactical air command is fully under the North. Armoury under the North.
The North have mapped out every logistical details. Even an illiterate Northerner is better informed about world affairs and war than a Southern graduate. The radio they carry about with BBC Hausa gives them much info. Many people we think are illiterate can read in Anjami scripts, the writing that we Southerners call Arabic on Nigerian Banknotes because it's Arabic like.
The Northern bandits and terrorists are already demoralising the whole nation. Some Northern governors already pay huge money to "buy peace" from them. Of course they always come back for more money.
In a few years if South do nothing soon, they will have to pay bandits to "buy peace" too.
SW will be easiest to defeat because the North will use region. Osun, Oyo and Lagos are already heavily Islamic. Even Ogun partly. Many Yoruba are already Christlems. Muslim on Friday, Christian on Sunday.
Many Yoruba still have this idea of religion being less important. That they are very tolerant. But it also means that resistance to imposition of Islam on the South will be very little in SW.
They will say "Shebi it's the same God we serve, Muslim or Christian is only academic".
If you like attack the messenger, call it doomsday message. But my prediction since sharia was first imposed in the North states like 17 years ago has been spot on.
What I am saying is already widely known. Only those sticking their heads in the sand like ostrich don't want to know. I am not encouraging the Northern killers. Southern leaders standing akimbo are already achieving that. Are we talking about islamization or full-blown war? You forget that most of the best military officers and soldiers are not northern Muslims nor Fulani's.. The dynamics of command and control quickly changes in a full-blown civil war. Relax! We pray it won't get to that, that's why the agitation for restructuring to check this danger Buhari has exposed the nation to. It is also why many regions are agitating and trying to take more control of their natural resources. Many are awake and trying to agree to a legal and constitutional settlement, but make no mistake, SW muslins and Christians will fully unite and defeat the criminal trespassers if it comes to war. Northern GOCs that cannot defeat rag tag Boko boys for years will now defeat an "Edekiri" army in one month |

The least Makinde should have done is to make sure the Fulani criminals are properly investigated and prosecuted. More importantly, follow in the constitutional steps taken by Governor Akeredolu, in order to safeguard the life and property of his people. He is however busy chasing shadows. |

AtikuNetwork: I commend the governor for not this position. It seems some people in the Southern part of the country are hell-bent on stoking ethnic tension under the pretext of insecurity. There is insecurity in every part of Nigeria, and Fulani herders are not the only ones responsible for all the crimes happening in this country. What I see happening is a scapegoating of a tribe to promote an agenda of ethnic cleansing. This cannot be allowed to stand.
I will urge my fellow igbo countrymen in particular to exercise restraint in their eagerness to incite ethnic tensions because they seem to be at the forefront of this ugly trend. I noticed they are trying to incite Yorubas to follow the same path that the fugitive Nnamdi Kanu's illegal security riff-raffs did in Ebonyi when they chased out Fulanis. Let's all be guided so as not to escalate tensions.
Nigeria belongs to all of us, and we should not set a bad precedent of evictions of non-natives on ethnic grounds, because if this is allowed to continue, it will not favour any of us. "Nigeria belongs to all of us"-Be honest! You don't really believe this, do you? |

Babylon the Great is Fallen!
And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
It's not fallen yet. Wait till the King of the North comes at them like a wave! |

It is either this government abides by the constitution of Nigeria or the indigenous people mobilise themselves and defend their ancestral land, protecting their mothers, wives, sisters and children in the process. |

Tolexander: Adegboruwa made a very apt explanation of the law here.
In Nigeria, no land is free of ownership. If the land doesn’t belong to the people or community, it automatically belongs to the state Governor if it has no mineral resources underground being mined (Land Use Act 1978), from the point of view of a land surveyor which I am.
And to tenure such land, individual(s) need(s) the permission of the state Governor for that.
Do the herdsmen take a request and permission from the state Governor to tenure its land?
Since there is no permission from the state Governor, what right, effrontery and audacity do they have to be on the land or drag the legality of their stay on the land?
Governor Rotimi has done perfectly well to interprets the law as a barrister and execute the law as the Governor and CSO of the state. I hope all other governors in the south and the middle belt can emulate this and hold the bulls by the horns to reduce the menace of the evil herdsmen in our states You think the Fulani government does not know the true interpretation of the law? They are just trying to be clever by half. |
