Hi thank you for this thread.

Can you talk a bit more on accommodation and transport. I got a job offer last year in London, to resume next month. It'll be my first time in London and I have no family there. I'm a bit worried about how to go about accommodation. I have b.een looking at the sites you shared but I still need guidance on areas to consider that have lower crime rates, within 30 mins to central and very affordable. Also, how long on the average does it take to get a house? If you're also aware of anyone looking for a flatmate, pls share. Thanks

Hi guys, I recently got a job in Central London and would be going next month as a first timer.

Can anyone kindly recommend areas to look at for long term accommodation for sm1 working in Central London. Factors I'm considering are low crime rate, affordable rent (900 pcm max), studios/1 bedroom flat, commute time of 30-40 mins max, nearness to transport/supermarkets etc. Also areas to avoid.

Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere undecided. I plan to book my hotel close to a recommended city to make my search easier. Thanks

Can you do a head count of how many of your ancestors where decimated because of ojokwu stubborness

you should rather say "war crimes by the army" stubbornness don't shoot bullets

btw we've come a long way from 1970 till now, our living standard has changed alot from wat it was in 1970. Talking about d war only exposes "Resilience", which is a good thing

The question is: wat has changed for you?? Your fathers were not decimated but has there been a tangible positive shift in d living standard of u & ur folks?
Lastly, find the meaning of the word "hypocrisy" before using it

You could be liable to prosecution and possibly face jail time if you make the mistake of calling someone "Osu".
This law is still in force especially in the southeast. I don't know about other parts of the country. It's high time we brought that law to take effect online and drastically punish all those uninformed Afonjaical trolls carelessly branding about such a sensitive and forbidden label and let them know what they're dealing with!

They speak out of ignorance most times...

We dont have discriminative practice in our society. God forbid bad thing!

Nna, your Osus will never Biafra to materialize. Cultural practice in Iboland forbid them from owning land. No freeborn will sell land to an Osu. They are not allowed to hold leadership titles in society. They are forbidden to couple with freeborn.

You want freedom for Biafra but you continue to suppress and deny it to osus.
OSU caste system has been discouraged in Igbo land...You shud mind ur utterances esp. on issues you know nothing about...Every tribe had practices that are termed "terrible" by today's standard, wah matters is whether such is still been widely practiced...

"On 20 March 1956, Igbo legislators in the Eastern
House of Assembly, Enugu abrogated the then
common practice of referring people to as osus" wikipedia

You should rather bother urself about ur tribe and any uncivilized practices that still goes on there, at least you'll be commenting on issues you know a lot about undecided

Politics / Re: What I Said About Igbo Presidency – Obasanjo by auggie340(f): 5:08pm On Mar 05, 2017

Lol you can look at it however you like. Democracy isn't primarily about electing the best candidate, but simply making the most popular candidate the winner.
In Nigerian setting, our democracy is about regional interest. In the first republic every region has its own executive leaders who have absolute powers to make policies beneficial to their regions. But now we have the opposite and the president has to come from somewhere. No doubt the region the president comes from stands to gain by having their interest secured at the center.
So keep playing your "progressive" Igbo politics, fact is it will never give you the presidency.
Deal with that.
what difference does it make??...an incompetent popular man or none....I'll rather we don't get the so-called presidency than av an incompetent one represent us badly...It's how many yrs since independence and Nigeria is still struggling to get it right politically... smh

Well Obi may be better, but the odds are definitely in favor of Rochas. That's why Igbos are generally not good in politics. Do you think PMB is the best the north could offer? Hell no! But at that time he stood the greatest chance of winning, and that was why he was supported.
The earlier you guys realize that Rochas is the most loved Igbo man outside Igboland the easier for you to produce a president.
This is the big problem in Nigerian politics.... You support a candidate based on popularity, whether real or imagined, and not fitness to rule...Like seriously...How then do we expect Nigeria to move forward..smh...well point of correction , "Igbos are generally not good in UNPROGRESSIVE politics" cos that's the type that is being practiced in Nigeria
