Politics / Re: Nigeria Is The Only Country In The World Celebrating Eid-el-fitri Today by aukasa: 9:14pm On Jul 27, 2014
No,Malaysia and Turkey also celebrate today, however all the criteria required before celebration were fulfilled such as 29 days of fast after sighting moon before starting and sighting of moon before announcing of end of Ramadan, which was sighted in many locations in Nigeria, hence Nigeria is good to go and perfect to have celebrate today.
Politics / Re: Nigeria Is The Only Country In The World Celebrating Eid-el-fitri Today by aukasa: 9:02pm On Jul 27, 2014
This is story is not true,Malaysia and Turkey celebrated theirs today, even if it were to be true it's allowed Nigerian muslims are not obliged to take instruction from any country in other to follow the islamic injunction regarding fasting for 29 days and sighting of moon.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Does The Quran Permit Suicide? by aukasa: 6:18pm On Jan 08, 2013
Sorry for the loss,Bokoharam is a terrorist organization fuelled by ignorance and poverty resulting from societal failure to meet the very essence of providing security and justice to the common man and parental neglect of duty of guidance of their wards, religion is just a tool in the hand of these misguided and other criminal groups
.Muslims have been killed more by this group than any other people renowned Muslim scholars, students and the general public are not spared, anybody that goes against their ways is killed especially muslims who have boldly spoken against them. The bombing in Kano which led to the death of over 250 people and the loss of a channels TV reporter, had over 85% percent of the victims being muslims, but the media didn't emphasize that Muslims have been killed,Mosques,Islamic schools and Muslim families have lost their members due to the barbaric acts of these terrorist.
To your question, the answer is that Islam does not permit anyone to kill himself under any circumstance, because it is clearly stated that patience is part of iman(faith),the case of a man who was injured in an expedition with the prophet(S.A.W) come to mind, he wasn't patient to bear the situation and thus he pulled a sword and severed his stomach leading to his death,The prophet declared that he had died an unbeliever because he wasn't patient enough and he killled himself.
An hadith(saying of the prophet) was narrated of a woman,a wore, who would be granted paradise because she saved the live of an animal(a dog) which was starving and she gave water to the dog, because of this she was pardon;let alone human being.Islam teaches kindness to animals and they are not to be killed except for food let alone human.

Pls. why was the late NSA Gen. Azazi,a man who had all security information at his finger tips sacked and what did he say about Bokoharam and terrorism and PDP? did he mention CPC?,Ndume a suspected senator is a PDP member,
Why hasn't Kabiru Sokoto been arraigned in court inspite of all the media attention he received when he was arrested ? same goes for other terror suspects.
What did Orkar and his younger brother in Kuje prison said about the October 1,bombing,
The PDP is very good in divide and rule politics, they should know that it will never last forever.

DivideUs: Why dis guy de always address us from church?
This is because of your username, thanks for observing this trend and it's funny that Oritse,CAN and others don't see anything wrong with this, if it were a muslim or a idol worshiping leader who makes policy statements or any statement about governance for that matter from the mosque or their idol worshiping shrine assuming any leader associates himself with them publicly, the religious bigots and their media houses would have beeen shouting at the top of their voices.'Nigeria is a secular state, they are islamizing Nigeria or both muslims and christians will say de-religionizing Nigeria in the case of a idol worshiping leader',why are they not seeing anything wrong with this trend.

RIP, the governor for all, Nobody can pich the people against themselves under the guise of condoling your demise because you never stood for division along any line, those who celebrated Yar'adua and Abacha's death and didn't see anything wrong in that naturally beleive others will celebrate your own death, just like sponsors of Niger delta militants beleive others will naturally behave irrational like them to sponsor BH.No sane mind will do so because you were the governor of all and not for any group; this you demonstrated both in words and actions and majority of the citizens can attest to that.Adeiu Baba Na Nakowa
Politics / Re: Happy Birthday To Buhari @ 70 by aukasa: 9:21am On Dec 17, 2012
Happy birthday to the people's general.

"This generation of Nigerians and indeed the future generation shall have no other country but Nigeria. We shall remain here and salvage it together"----General Buhari in 1983.

''Buhari is an uprightman''. Chief Olusegun Obasanjo

General Muhammadu Buhari was fond of telling contractors on visit to sites: “If you perform well, you get a handshake. If you perform badly, you get a handcuff”

From his various perches as minister to governor to head of state, not even counting stints at the NNPC and the Petroleum Trust Fund, Gen. Buhari succeeded in showing that being appointed to public office should not be seen as an invitation for anyone to ‘come and eat’ but to come and serve.....” ACN(Action Congress of Nigeria)

The late Gani Fawehinmi of blessed memory once desribed Gen. Buhari thus:''his purse is as lean as his stature ''. he has been tested both as a military man (minister of petroleum and later head of state among others)and as a civilian in the defunct Petroleum Trust Fund, no iota of corruption moral or financial can be traced to him either directly or indirectly,. GOD BLESS NIGERIA

Career / 80% Of First Class, Second Class Upper Applicants Failed Nnpc Exam - Gmd by aukasa: 5:36am On Aug 16, 2011
Written by Gbola Subair, Abuja
Tuesday, 16 August 2011
The just concluded recruitment examination conducted by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) recorded abysmal failure as 80 per cent of the applicants, who were mainly first class and second class upper graduates, failed the examination.

Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Mr Austen Oniwon, disclosed this on Monaday while declaring open the 9th NNPC National Quiz Competition in Abuja

Oniwon, who disclosed that the NNPC was currently carrying out a recruitment exercise, stated that the result of the recruitment examination was not as good as expected as 80 per cent of the so-called first class and second class upper graduates scored less than 20 per cent.

Represented by the Group General Manager, Public Affairs Division of the NNPC, Dr Levi Ajuonuma, the NNPC boss disclosed that this abysmal record did not only heighten the NNPC management’s apprehension about the lack of functionality of our education format but goes a long way to underscore the need to shift focus away from mere paper qualification.

Disclosing that it would no longer be business as usual in the NNPC, the Group Managing Director said reliance on people to secure employment in the organisation was now a thing of the past stressing that the NNPC now placed emphasis on brilliance.

Apart from the NNPC examination, the GMD said the recently recorded nationwide mass failure of candidates in WAEC and NECO exams made the call for the urgent review of our school system more pertinent.

He said only a functional education that is skilled-based, that adds value to the nation’s economy and takes into consideration the skill-gap that exists in our nation today is ideal for Nigeria of today.

http://www.tribune.com.ng/index.php/news/26695-80-of-first-class-second-class-upper-applicants-failed-nnpc-exam-gmd

I strongly beleive that the GMD must have exaggerate the outcome of the recruitment exam, 80 % of candidates scored less than 20 % of the marks, there may be a knowledge gap in our university education but no school worth its salt will ordinarily award a second class upper or first class garde on a platter of gold, The result should also tell the GMD to open the door of its recruitment to all regardless of being a 2.1 or a first class graduate.

Those who wrote the exams should please share their thoughts on the difficulty or otherwise of the NNPC recruitment exam in relation to similar exams especially those conducted by multinational companies in Nigeria.
Politics / Re: Namadi Sambo Is An Igbo Man? by aukasa: 2:01am On Aug 15, 2011
His 'ancestoral home' in Zaria is at Sabon-gari(meaning new town/settlement in Hausa)  which is clearly a settlement that evolved historically for non-northerners/indigenes,Sabon gari is  just like ama-hausa in Igbo land.

Let him show us his father/grand father's house in the traditional areas of Zaria city i.e outside Sabon gart true that his father was a railway worker who lived
in the railway quarters before moving to Sabon-gari area of the city?. Where are his siblings, uncles, cousins and Aunts.

Any way he is a Nigerian but let him own up to his identity if the story is true.

Late Murtala Ramat Muhammed (R.I.P) is originally from Edo state, Auchi town  but is known with Kano.

But the Ibo's have played a fast one on us all. with OBJ., G.E.J and Nnamdi (Namadi); they are still asking for more like Oliver twist.
Career / Re: He Wants To Quit Because He Earns 'only' 160K by aukasa: 1:18am On Aug 13, 2011
Life may be risk itself, for no pain no gain. but in all honesty a married man does not take the kind of risk he intends venturing into in a hurry, many are not happy with their jobs but when they look at their wife and children(child) they are consoled with it.
Clearly his problem is pure economics apparently spending more than he earns or nearly what he earns, let him scale down his expensive life for now and be realistic with his economic condition. False life is not helping him, 160K if properly planned is well enough for him to live comfortably but if has chosen not to be frugal in spending (consuming alcohol and possibly buying things without market survey and renting an expensive apartment are all his problems) or may be he imitates a friend earning much more he surely has to regret no doubt; hence his current misery.
My last word he dear not quit that job, his problem his inability to draw a scale of preference, hang on and look for another job.I don't need to tell him a babalawo or pastor or alfa told me this, but if with all my advise he is still stubborn then let him keep the letter for three more months and discuss extensively with his immediate and extended family and close friends.

Nobody has all he wants in life you only make the best of what you have at any moment.

These people subjecting the masses to poverty and not looking back while they enjot should remember that one day we will all die and will stand before God to
give account of our stewardship on earth. Where is Abacha, Yar'adua, Abiola, Bokasa, Enyadema,Mobutu Seseko and Pharao.

All these wealth accumulation is caused by greed. They should know that vanity upon vanity is vanity and this worldly life is vanity.

Can they afford to run their own personal business on which they solely depend to feed their family the way they run Nigeria?. recurrent expenditure 74%, capital expenditure 26%. 2011 budget [Ngozi Iweala] corroborated by El-Rufai

Could it be that the leaders have also lost faith on the country and now think that the country doesn't deserve any future?

G.E.J should remember that some people voted for him because he said he had no shoes as a child because his parents could not afford one, now he has completely forgot these statements just as he has forgotten these people.
