The cost of living in Liaoning is relatively low compared to other provinces. Buying food stuff and cooking is cheaper than buying food. But if you want to buy food, you can get a good meal for about 500 naira.This is normal food not in big restaurants. If well managed, you can survive with 60,000 naira a month. There are buses that move round the city so you can go with a bus, there are subways in some cities so you can use that too. Those are the cheapest means of transportation. There are also taxis but much more expensive than the buses. Working in china is almost impossible as a foreigner especially as a student and even worse as a black person. If you’re caught working on a student visa, you can be arrested, fined or deported. Most schools will want their students to be taught by white peoples because they think our English is not the true English. Anyways, your best bet to making money in china is starting a business as you know china is the right place for that.

Wow. Congratulations on your latest addition! Thank God you and your child are both well. Sounds like you had amazing doctors in the USA. Please make sure you rest a lot, after almost 9 months and having an induction I know you must need the rest! I assume you are a citizen there and won't have to travel back with the newborn? If not please wait until at least the 6 to 8 weeks postnatal check for yourself to confirm the high BP has gone or is being well managed since the doctors you had back home were not up to par (your BP could be pregnancy related and will hopefully disappear).

Let's pray Nigerian hospitals improve, I can imagine how many have lost lives already at the hands of inept doctors. And the fact that more doctors are leaving every day, what happens to those who cannot afford to travel out for medical care?

I wish non-medical doctors could own hospitals in Nigeria, I would have sourced investment funds to do such and perhaps many others.

Hmmmm reading your all your post on this thread makes me smh! Have you ever experienced hunger in your life? Like you are hungry And you dont have money to buy food, you went to a construction site worked as a laborer from 7am to 5pm but before 5pm the man that's supposed to pay you is nowhere to be found that is how you will carry your sorry self back to your family without kobo or if you are lucky you receive 2k naira less than 10usd for the day. I prefer working in a restaurant abroad washing plates and getting paid for my job than suffering here without getting paid! In fact i have a very close friend who is a furniture maker (carpenter) the dude has been idle since last month because there's no work to do even if he found a job to do his employer end up paying him half of his money cus he knows that he is broke and desperate there by taking advantage of him! Thats wbat is wrong With Nigeria so forget all this your story even if i'm earning 1million a month i will leave Nigeria because to make it in Nigeria legally is 50/50 chance. I'm a Muslim and my religion forbid me to feed myself and my family with haram! I know someone personally that earn 45k per month working with state government but he drives a Peugeot 407 and live in GRA how did he get the bar to live that kind of life?? You will be walking on the street police will pull over and arrest you until you pay them or they drag you to the station write false statement and force you to sign! There are morethan 1million inmates languishing in Nigerian prisons awaiting trial! Awaiting trial o! There is no way a poor man will win a case in a Nigerian court of law!!

Guy there's an ongoing Chinese Government scholarship just search google you will be good to go! But the deadline is near tho! 200k is too small bro, you can try China some schools can even give u partial scholarship but that your 200k wont be enough budget like 1.5m for the first year including flight tuition accommodation etc.

Lokoja because of the confluence of River Niger and Benue; and also for the historical sites especially Lord Lugard residence and office.

Makurdi, because it will help break the journey (i don't like journeys that are more than 7 hours) and also so that i dont travel in the night.

To cut cost, i may start coming back to Lagos from Jos on day 5 early morning.

If I am to include Bauchi, maybe it would look like this:

Lag-Lokoja-Kaduna-Kano-Bauchi-Jos-Lagos

4 sleepovers in Lokoja, Kaduna or Kano - Bauchi and Jos

budget at least 5k for accommodation 3k is unrealistic

Kano - Kaduna - 2hrs- 5-7pm - lodge

Day 4
Kaduna - Jos - 5hrs - 7am - 12noon
Explore Jos - 12noon - 3pm
Jos - Makurdi - abt 5hrs - 3-8pm - lodge

Day 5
Explore Makurdi - 7-9am
Makurdi - Onitsha - abt 7hrs - 9am- 4pm - lodge
Explore Onitsha - 4-9pm

Nice one, but i think stopping in Lokoja and Markudi is just a waste of time and resources since you said you want to visit the North, these places aren't considered as Northern Lands by the Northerners due to the Ebira and Igala majority in Lokoja and the Tiv Christians in Markudi. But that's just my opinion. You can travel direct to Bauchi from Lag, even though i dont reside in Bauchi i can still connect you with a friend that will get a good lodge for u and help u tour the city, Life there is basically cheap so u wont get too much headache, but Kaduna is a Big city so you will spend more Especially on Accommodation, nd transportation, likewise Kano Accommodation and food is not that expensive but transportation is a lil bit expensive but for a guy living in Lagos u can cope! I know Nothing bbout Jos i went there only once the religious crisis made me dislike the place.

Op if you Really want to have a Northern Experience forget about Abuja Nasarawa and Minna! Go to Bauchi and Visit Yankari Game reserve! Besides thats where you will know the real North. Next stop Enter Jos You will feel at home due the Large Christian population then Go to Kaduna a Very Liberal state that almost all the Muslim guys and girls take booz and go to strip clubs lol unlike Bauchi, Then Enter Kano the Capital of Arewa You will Yet again have another unforgettable experience visit the Zoo Cinemas and watch Kannywood Movies but get a translator! Even a Keke driver can help you, North is peaceful apart from Jos and other states that religious crisis usually occurs! Dont make the mistake of going into the Muslim territory if u are a Christian anything can happen and vise versa! My Advice op Go to Bauchi Kano Kaduna Abuja Maybe Jos! I live in the North East and its very far from The North west talk less of the South but if you can visit my state you will drink fresh cow milk daily i promise u that! Besides here is more liberal than the North West, Even the North Westerners can attest to that we flex 24/7 here no crisis no Boko haram!

Well, I checked ur source n found out that most of the salaries increased are for the administrative teachers.


Teachers salaries varies in Nigeria, depending on what sector d teacher teaches ( private or public ). The new minimum wage in Nigeria is #56,000 but teachers n doctors will earn more than this.

Again, 1ksh=#3.60 doesn't work in this context cos both currency has diff purchasing power, the cost of goods in Kenya is diff from the cost in naija.

Good day. Bro. I don't know much regarding international students admissions in China because i didn't attend college here. However, one thing I know is that you are likely not going to be granted a visa when applying for a short term Chinese language course on a Nigerian passport. I recall last February while I was at the Chinese embassy in Abuja to pick up some document, I overheard a Chinese visa interviewer telling visa applicant it was unnecessary for him (the applicant) to travel to China to learn Chinese when there were already a few Confucius Institutes in Nigeria where people go to learn Chinese. The visa was not granted. Here's my little advice: Stick with the bachelor's. Has the college sent you your JW202 form ? That's a very vital piece of document you need in order to secure your study visa to China. All the best to you.

No it will be sent to me next week. The thing is Application for bachelors starts April, i want to go there and start the language program maybe next month then Apply in person for the bachelors while studying the language when admission is out i will pay tuition and renew my permit. Boss, i applied to a university in Nanning, Guangxi zhuang Autonomous Region, Just 3hrs to Guangzhou by train. I'm waiting for my admission and visa application form hopefully it will be out by next week or in the next 2 weeks, please what are the necessary docs required for Visa, besides i applied for language studies in the school which i just want to study for only one semester then switch to my course. The application for degree courses starts April and ends in June, so the plan is to apply while i'm there, then register and pay tuition when admission is out. Some guys are discouraging me that i will likely not get the visa for language studies. Help a bro pls i need to know the required docs and the amount in Sponsor account so that i will get the visa without much stress. Thanks
