CultureStop Touching Sculptures In The Metro by Austeen007(op): 6:37pm On Nov 28, 2020
Touching the nose of sculptures is believed by Russians to bring good lucks. This has been a long-time standing tradition amongst Russians which is dated to have started during the Soviet-era.

It is a long-standing good luck traditional ritual amongst thousands of Russians and tourists who rides through the metro on a daily basis.

Meanwhile, the Moscow transport authorities are urging people to stop touching the Soviet-era sculptures in the metro for good lucks. This is due to the long years of touching the sculptures is obviously deteriorating the original form of the Soviet-era Bronze sculptures.

Students also Rub their reports card on the Sculptures which they believe will bring them good luck in passing their exams in flying colors.

Russia's golden visa scheme for foreigners will allow foreigners to get a permanent residence permit with rights similar to that of Russians except for voting rights and being drafted in the compulsory military service.
Austeen007:
Russia!

Every one of us would not deny that we haven’t read or heard one or 2 weird stories about Russia.

If not. At least, you must have heard the following that;

Russians are racists; they do not like black People.

Russian spits on black people on the streets
Russians kills black people or Africans in the streets of Moscow.

Russia is not a place for a black man to travel to; Especially Nigerians.

I get often asked 2 particular questions from most Nigerians about Russia;

“How is the racism there, I heard they’re racist?
The Good News is that I have been living in Russia for almost 3 years now and no one cares about my skin color.

Russians are very helpful people when you ask for help.

“Russia is too cold.” But little did they know that Canada is colder than Russia.

Though, before I moved to Russia I also had read and heard so many weird things about Russia and the advice was “if you’re African, dark skinned don’t go to Russia."

I almost forfeited my visa lol!

But, I took the hard decision, disregarding all I have read and took a shot at it.

When I got to Russia’s Domododevo airport in Moscow I was expecting to be sent back to Africa, Nigeria for being black.

Clearly, nobody cared about my very dark skin tone.

For those who looked only did in admiration and ask to take a photo with me.

My 3 years in Russia has been awesome, far from what I expected.

Recently, I went spending time in the Russian Dacha (Country House) in Nigeria we call village house.

My 90 day experience in the Russian dacha was awesome too.

People where friendly and often asked to take a photo with me.

Remember, you must learn how to understand Russian to be able to start a conversation. Or you can either make use of a Yandex or Google Translator.

Observations:
Many of the things we have read or heard about Russia, isn’t true.

I’d not be able to write all of my experience in Russia so far

If you have any question about Russia ask me I’ll answer them in a knowledgeable truth around my experiences so far.

TV/MoviesRe: What Made You To Stop Watching Wrestling?(wwe) by Austeen007(m): 2:25pm On Nov 25, 2020
Don't mind most Nigerians with the way we think about wrestling. Before you become a wrestler you must undergo a medical test that includes looking at the person's skull, general health fitness, then you must be trained. And then steroids are injected. this will help the wrestler not to feel the pains from the blows.

If wrestling is stagged as many Nigerians think, why do you have over 14k people buying tickets to watch it live?

Nigerians are free to believe what they want. But I'll advise them to try it at home.

Did u see d match btw drew nd orton yday? .. If yes, then u must've seen where randy was bleeding. bro, there's noting like fake blows in wrestling.

Canih28:
1. "Just Hanging Out"

I won't be exaggerating if I say this is the biggest
bat you have ever seen right? I guess the name
"Grey headed flying fox" fits it perfectly. Though they
are not dangerous to humans as they often eat
nectar and pollen from eucalyptus trees. Imagine
have an encounter with such big bat. It wouldn't be
a matter of if it's dangerous, you would be off
before you think about its capacity to harm you.

You're right. I noticed it too. That's the essence I put up a disclaimer stating it clearly for people to be mindful of who they deal with under my thread to avoid stories that touch the heart.
Truthspoon1:
I do not fault any of your actions sir. I have no reason to. I saw pages of unread messages and was anticipating something good only to find arguments and unnecessary comments. I believe things like that desecrate the sanctity of threads like this. It slowly defeats the purpose. sad
TravelRe: Nigerian In Russia-my Experience So Far by Austeen007(op): 3:35pm On Nov 23, 2020
All I'd say is read the ones that matters to you. And leave people that talks about visa.

This threaded I created it to write my experience in Russia as a Nigerian.

This also under travel category. And definitely peole who have the need for visa to travel to Russia also falls in place to ask me of visa advice.

This thread encompasses my travel experience in Russia and including visa advice.

But I do not ask anyone for money to help them do visa or get admitted into any Russian university.

I only offer general advice ABOUT Russia through my website dedicated to write just about Russia.

Base on what you see, I myself who created the thread already thought of deleting the thread over everyone advertising they can help people get a visa to Russia.

If you had read my disclaimer you would understand why I wrote that disclaimer to avoid some hijackers of this thread to scam people a'd tomorrow they'll it's me.

If you go to my website all my detail as clear. I hide nothing.

Thanks for your interest and opinion.

Truthspoon1:
It is the norm for those who have tasted the good life to help the others but this thread is gradually derailing. I hope I don't have to unfollow soon. I came here to read his experience and draw inspiration and motivation, all I see now is visa advert and talk.

The new law in Russia allows you to keep your other citizenship. In other words you are allowed to maintain a dual citizenship.
Dharmzy370:
when you are qualify for citizenship, do you have to give up your first "Nationality" or it's" Dual citizenship"? why am asking is because, in some country, before you become their citizen you have to drop your first nationality

Ask them what they mean. that website is a verified website. Your SSCE and NECO is enough proof you have finished secondary education. and is qualified to study anywhere in the world.

Probably, I will advise you to direct your inquiries to the institution of your choice.

Meanwhile, see what 6000 rubles can buy you in Russia. The cost of living is relatively awesome

LOL! Nigerians LOVE DM too.

BUT PLEASE YOU GUYS SHOULD BE WEARY OF SCAMMERS THAT MIGHT WANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU.

TO FIND RUSSIAN UNIVERSITIES ALL OF THEM HAS A WEBSITE. THOUGH NOT ALL OF THEM PROCESS STUDIES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS.
SO TO GET RUSSIAN SCHOOLS USE GOOGLE OR YANDEX BROWSER TO SEARCH FOR THE SCHOOLS AND WRITE THEM DIRECTLY. YOU DONT NEED ANY MIDDLE MAN.

THIS THREAD AND MY BLOG IS MADE TO RENDER ADVICE TO YOU GUYS AND HELP YOU STAY AWAY FROM SCAMS.

THANKS BRO
ImDStar:
The people sharing info here are not fools na, only schools name and you're requesting for a DM.
Why not share here and let's benefit from your knowledge too bro.

Thats right

Yes that's true boss.
But i believe it is good as a student from nigeria to learn and study Russia preparatory course in more remote area where there is less civilization, just to be able to learn with the ppl and secondly to save the cost of living and after getting the Russia language certificate they can then move to Sr Petersburg, Moscow, ural , Samara and other better cities for more better opportunity.
