When you travel to a country, you contribute to their Econony immensely. The westerner knows this simple Economics. So they use propaganda to tell you and i evil things about Russia so we wont go their which will help the work force.

When it comes to Military, BoMB, Nuclear weapons Russia has the best of it. But does America not have also?

The war America Started in Vietnam didn't you here about it?

The 12 years war America has been fighting in the east because of the refusal of East to allow passage of oil pipleline from Qatar to Turkey. Obama started the war. Turkey is a NATO MEMBER NOTE THAT.

Are we not seeing all the racists videos coming out of America? White people killing black people? BLACK PEOPLE PROTESTING.

Are we not seeing the protests going on in America tagged the BLM?

All these evil things that has been happening in America for over 250 years but we chose to read and believe propaganda about Russia and turn a blind eye to Racism in the UK, and America cum France?

Nigeria and Africa as a whole is what it is today because America and the UK, France and Germany used their Economic tools to kill Nigeria for their own benefits.

Don't Forget it was Russia that Built Africa's first telecommunications satelight that enables you and i to make calls. Before then Africa was Hiring it For billionos of doolar per year. Gadaffi said Africa has to stop hiring and build hers. He paid almost 80% of th money while other Africa state contributed the remaining 20%.

Germany, France, UK , America Sat in Berlin and planned the elimination of Gaddafi. And yet use propaganda to tell you and i Gaddafi was a traitor and a tyrant.

Look at Libya today all they are getting for free is gone. Now they are travelling through the ned sea to Europe, where Germany, france, and co uses them to work in a farm. isn't that indirect or systeic slavery?

Why are we not afraid of those that is killing us?

Well, thanks web technology that the world is now a global world we now know who the real racists and war mongers are.

They ones that publish propaganda about others and they ones doing the worse.

If you read what the west has published about you and i as an Africans you'll cry in pains for the rest of your life.

The only reason the west wants to use propaganda to destroy Russia is because they can't do it through war. Russia isn't a country you show guns and swords, they have seen that and experienced war mre than any country on earth. But if you want it they will show you they invented the deadliest machine. AK 47 named after the inventor Mikhail Kalashnikov. and even have more.

So since the west can't bully Russia , They are using the media to decieve you and I into believing that Russia isn't a place to travel to as African.

The truth i will tell you is that Africans and Nigerians are quietly making a living here. And many of us are already Russian citizens.

If they are racists why give citizenship to a black person like you and I?

If they are racist, why would a black man reach the top military level in Russia?

If they are Racist why is an Igbo girl representing Russia in the Olympics, and Russians are happy about her. The Russians that had the opportunity to learn from her commended that she is awesome and good at the swirling game?

If they are racist why would they sit together with me in a metro?

If they are racist why would they offer to drink beer with me?

If they are racist why would they say I'm smart?

If they are racist why would they kiss an African like me? Even after all the western propaganda about Africans being naturally afflicated with deadly disease. But yet i get a hug, kiss, flowers, gifts, tick socks for the winter as gift even books to read in other to help me learn Russian language quickly.

If they are racist why would they border to ask my namne, and if my country is warm?

If they are racist why would any of thm ask me if i love Russia more than my country?

If they are racist an old women would not walk up to me and my Russian wife and tell us that we look beautiful and should marry and live together.

If they are rascists why would a very old woman , the grand mother to my wife still remember my name, even in her sick bed she remembers my name.

On any day i didn't go with my wife to see her at the old peoples homes, she often asks after me, and whenver she sees me she give me a thumbs up with a thousand smile dazzling off her face.

If they are racist why would any of them ask to take a photo with me all happy faces?

If they are racist why would a taxi driver buy a packet of Abricoss fruits and hand it to me as a welcome gift to Russia?

If they are racist why would a Russian man drive you to your address and refuse taking the money and said he only helped me and needs not to take money?

If they are racist why would they even eat my Nigerian Egwusi soup, Yam and tomato suace? and after that they want to visit Nigeria

If they are racists, why did i see a handfull of Russians taking visa from the Nigerian Embssy in Moscow to visit Nigeria w=beacuse we have a hot weather.

Finally, when you move to a country for the first time, Your best mistake you would likely be to expect everyone to love or like you. Build your friends , be happy with them and forget others. You can aswell meet new like-minded friends and add them to your clique.

They are bad people everywhere these days.

But Russia isn't near to what the western propaganda suggests to you and I.

Thanks for readign my points

When i first came to Russia i was greeting almost everybody i came by the Nigerian way.

Three (3) out of 10 would respond, some will peronally approach you and discuss with you and ask to take a photo with you. Individual difference is applied.

But even if a Russian don't answer you greeting, they'll definitely stop to help you when you ask for help.

You'll be surprised that a person who didn't answer your greeting is offering you extreme help like when you're trying to find your way out of the underground metro. A russianman will leave where he's going to and make sure you find your way out.

And nexttime when he see's you he'll be the one to greet you first.

So i asked my woman why is it that Russians do not greet themselves? She said; they do greet, but only who they know. or by coincidence. And i also realized to smile at a Russian is a taboo.

They believe its crazy to smile at someone you don't know, and for what reason are you smilling? do you have anything fishy? But when you get to Know them you'll smile and laugh as you want.

Though this is also common in Nigeria. If someone i do not know smiles at me i'd think the person is crazy or have some fishy plans against me.

So i began to adopt with the Russian lifestyle. But out 147million Russians you'll find many that will smile at you, talk with you because of the uniqueness of your skin colour.

I have been approached by many of them who where arguing that i'm afro-russian, American or African, so they approached me and spoke in Russian Language "Ti Ruskaya Chilovekam, Amerikanski ili Afrikanse?"

I replied African. They shoke my hands and said they were arguing and they want to know where i came from.

Unlike, in Dubai where you can't talk or touch their women, in Russia you're free to talk to any women, date them, and marry them. There isn't any restriction on communicating with their women.

In Russia you're free to wave to someone you know or anybody you feel like that shows the interest.

Advice: Don't make loud greetings, shouting and hailing in the metro LOL! people will look at you as noisy and weird. But this isn't general. individual difference applies.

To make noice it is adviceable when and where it is necessary. Places like on Picnic, and Night clubs.

Making Noise at home by 10:00 PM is prohibited in Russia. By that time people are back from work and they should be sleeping. Most Nigerian Newbees in Russia makes such mistakes often. Even if you're watching TV by then , you have to lower to the volume to a level it can't disturb the sleeping neigbours.

What will land you in jail in Russia isn't from making noooooooooise LOL!

But drug dealing, Raping, having sex with an underage girl, burglary, scams, robbery, terrorism, illegal arm possessions, killing.

Having a church and taking tithe and monies from Russians will get the FSB knocking at your door.

Church will only raise money if they're giving it to charity in places that is hit by natural disasters.

PASTOR NO DEY COLLECT MONEY FROM CONGRGATION USE AM BUY JET FOR RUSSIA>THATS THE REASON NIGERIAN PASTOR DON"T HAVE THEIR CHURCH BRANCHES IN RUSSIA LOL!

BelieverDE:
Thanks Austeen007. The truth about Russia is really an eye opener.

Could you please tell us about the "little crime" that can land someone in prison? I heard greeting people the Nigerian way (raising you hand in the air) is prohibited in Germany because it's similar to the way Hitler greets.

In the UAE you can't stare at a woman. There are a lot of "little crimes" an individual must know. Could you please let us know "little crime" which could be strange to a Non-European?

Christianity EtcCult Leader Who Claims To Be The Reincarnation Of Jesus Arrested In Russia by Austeen007(op): 2:40pm On Sep 23, 2020
Former traffic officer Sergei Torop, AKA Vissarion, arrested in a special operation in Siberia.

A Siberian messianic cult leader and his deputies have been detained at one of their communes on accusations of using followers’ money and psychological violence to inflict harm, Russia’s Investigative Committee said Tuesday.

Armed agents were filmed storming the Church of the Last Testament’s compound in a southern district of the Krasnoyarsk region. The agents can be seen placing its leader Vissarion Christ the Teacher, whose followers believe that he is the reincarnation of Jesus of Nazareth, inside one of several helicopters deployed in the raid.

“Fifty police vans, 50 buses, an ambulance and medical workers are driving over here,” the Tayga.info news website quoted local resident Alexander Staroverov, who witnessed the early-morning raid, as saying on social media.

Investigative Committee and Federal Security Service (FSB) agents detained Vissarion, a former policeman whose secular name is Sergei Torop, as well as two of his deputies.

The Investigative Committee said that the cult’s leaders “used its members’ money and psychological violence” against them, causing “serious harm” to some members’ health. Investigators intend to charge them with creating a religious association that uses violence, the Investigative Committee’s statement said.

The Church of the Last Testament reported raids and interrogations in February in connection with a fraud investigation into a school attended by its members’ children, according to Interfax.

Vissarion’s deputy Vadim Redkin told The Moscow Times at the height of Russia’s coronavirus outbreak this spring that the Church of the Last Testament’s membership applications have tripled since the start of the pandemic.

The Investigative Committee said that Redkin and Vladimir Vedyornikov were the two Vissarion deputies detained in Tuesday’s raid.

Vissarion founded his movement in the early 1990s, filling an ideological void after the fall of the Soviet Union. About 4,000 so-called “Vissarionites” live in 20 rural settlements in southern Siberia, with the most devoted group of around 300 living on top of a remote hill they call the Abode of Dawn.

The cult deepened its physical isolation from the rest of Russia after the start of the coronavirus pandemic, closing its communes off to outsiders.

Torop, 59, with long grey hair and a beard, was led by masked troops to a helicopter. The operation involved agents from Russia’s FSB security service as well as police and other agencies. Vadim Redkin, a former drummer in a Soviet-era boyband who is known as Vissarion’s right-hand man, was also arrested, along with another aide, Vladimir Vedernikov.

Torop, who lost his job as a traffic officer in 1989, claimed he experienced an “awakening” as the Soviet regime began to collapse. In 1991 he founded a movement now known as the Church of the Last Testament.

Several thousand followers live in a series of remote hamlets in the Krasnoyarsk region in Siberia. Converts to the cult have included professionals from across Russia as well as pilgrims from abroad.

“I am not God. And it is a mistake to see Jesus as God. But I am the living word of God the father. Everything that God wants to say, he says through me,” Vissarion told the Guardian in 2002.

Russian media reported that in the original ideology of the cult, Vissarion claimed Jesus was watching over people from an orbit close to Earth, and the Virgin Mary was “running Russia”, but later he declared himself to be Jesus.

His commune mixes a selection of rites drawn from Orthodox Christianity with environmental edicts and a series of other rules. Veganism is enforced and monetary exchange is banned inside the commune. Followers wear austere clothing and count years starting from 1961, the year of Vissarion’s birth, while Christmas has been replaced by a feast day on 14 January, his birthday.

It is not clear what will happen to the disciples now that their leader has been arrested, nor is it clear why authorities decided to move now. The official Russian Orthodox church has long condemned the group but officials have largely left the devotees alone. Some Russian media outlets reported that the community had become involved in a dispute with local business interests.

90% of Nigerians don't fancy Russia i may be wrong with the figures. But we do not Fancy Russia because of the Western Propaganda.

Reassons why the west promotes propangda about Russia is because they dont want you to know that Russia id Powerful put all of them together Russia has beaten Italy in the Napolean war. Italy tried invading Russia, Russia finished them and followed Italy back to italy and finished the work their.

Hitler invaded Russia, The Russian Red army desimated them, matched into Germany and recued hostages.

The west dont want you to know that the world war ended because Russia is in existence.

Without Russia's defeating the NAzi German Army, the US and Canada would have entered the lastphase of the war.

But in Africa we think it was America that defeated the NAzi Germany, though the're air strike helped.

So after the war, America saw the power of Russia, and that why they formed NATO to protect themselves from Russia.

You'll not know this if you rely on google search.

I have visited few World II war Museum in Russia where the world war weaponry is diplayed[ and they brief histories inscribed.

The problem is that many people who writes whatever they think they know about Russia are just copying propaganda from western media and paste it on their blog.

Research suggests that human brain is wired to prioritize negative information. The potential cost of negative information far outweighs the benefit of positive information. I.e Negative opinion gets more attention than the Positive opinion.

I got to realize that many of all our copy and paste bloggers haven't visited Russia before and lived in it for 3 to 7 years to beable to back up their claims.

Most of them still thinks of Russia as the USSR, see how backward are they?

Most of them copies information that happened in the USSR and say it happened in Russia, They didn't know that the USSR was made up of 15 countries which included Russia.

I asked a blogger on nairaland who coppied news from Abc NEWs and posted on Nairaland, he copied verbatim about the Skinhead that happened over 20 years a go in Russia. He could not reply me till today because he has not fact to substantiate what he copied from ABC news and Euro news.

The skinheads is a neonazi group in Russia who still nurses the idea of Hitler. This guys are not Russians but the decendants of Germany who came into Russia during the world war II.

But now all of them are in jail by the putin govt. If you try to form any cult here the next morning the police will crack you and your team down.

So Russia is one of the safest countries to livein in the world. here we walk anytime of the day. and their night life is awesome.

my advice is if you need to know about Russia, dont use Google or any liberal search Engines.

Russia is an awesome country far from what propaganda and stereotypes suggests.

as a nigerian if you dont like the european or Eurasian food, then we have Nigerian market in Russia where you can find almost all the Nigeria recipe.

But i myself got conversant with the European foods that looks similar to our own Nigeria food.

They cook beans they same way we cook it nigeria, they difference is no red oil. But if i want to feel Nigerian, i normally buy red oil from a Nigerian store and cook my beans. In Russian Language beans is (fasol).

And also They have a traditional Russian drink called (Compote) Pronounced as Kampot. This drink is very similar to our Nigeria's ZOBO OR ZOBORODO. The difference are the recipes and the active but the taste is closely related dependent on what fruit is used in preparing it.

Also we maize here too but no pear LOL!

They many other Russian cuisines that are awesome like iced meat ( Kholona Myasa) very yummy.

To survive in Russia, I'd tell you this; When you go Russia, behave like the Russians.

Ok the 3 points you mentioned are ok. since you want to settle in Russia and expand your wish will come through.

First of all the best way to come to Russia is through study permit, or working permit.

I do not advice anyone who wish to settle in Russia and expand move to Russia with tourist visa. Once your tourist visa expires, you're expected to leave the country if you over stay your visa, and eventually get caught by the police , You'll pay Straff and be deported. But many of us are survivng it but it isn't adviceable at all to move to Russia on tourist visa except for tourist purposes.

So school is is the best, study and work every year you pay you fee your visa get extended. you can also apply for residence when you hvae the proficiency for Russian history and language. Thought it would be easy to get the Permanent residence if you're married to a Russian.

How i found my wife on facebook was luck, though i was searching them and i got many of them but where so far away to meet. Meanwhile before then i had met few other Russian women where i used to live in Moscow Region. I only made a choice and settled with one of them and it was the greatest choice.

Well, your friend who adviced you to be competent in SW dev. Adviced you well. But then, before you can use such skills efficiently in Russia you must learn how to communicate with Russians. "The Language." Already you are sure you can quickly learn the language.

Sending Russian women a friend request on FB from Nigeria, they wont accept you, except whne they have seen that your profile is in Russia and you're living in Russia.

Mostly why you dont get accepted is because they're are either nmarried , have a boyfriend and mainly they often work here and return in the evening to take care of house chores and have little time for facebook.

Though facebook isn't where you can actively find Russian women. Here we use their local socila platforms to find them.

Above all is luck.

YungLasaint:
Thank you for your response but I need to make something clear for better communication.

✨ I'm not going to Russia to use the opportunity and cross to Germany.
✨ I love Russia if not I would be on this thread.
✨ My ambition is to settle down in Russia, marry there and expand.

In terms of IT I know there are very good in it, but I'm not going there as a student cause of funds for now I wanted knowing more about the country, it culture, history and the people.

Learning the language won't be that hard because of my interest in it.

Please how did you find your wife on Facebook?

Is there something I'm not doing well because have tried add some Russians but none has accepted my request. How did you your own?

Is there no other option to move to Russia apart from studies?

A friend advice me to be competent with software development that it will be easier to get a remote work there so I can save money and move over. Is it a good idea?

Thanks

When it comes to learning IT Russia is excellent in it.

Reason why i can access Jumia Nigeria from Russia without VPN lol. Jumia they fear hackers from ths region of the world. Though aside from the message passed in the jokes, to find hackers here is very difficult. Because no one would tell you he's a hacker except through a secret recomendation. but you can find programmers.

If you're a good programmer you can as well decypher ways of hacking.

Though, most of the Russian hackers works for their govt where the use it for good purposes.

You could be lucky to find people who can teach you. But such course isn't 10kobo.

Ok Bro.

I met my Wife in Russia, via Facebook. But they're other social media platforms in Russia where you can hookup with Russian women.

The Standard of living in Russia is Ok. Things are affordable with wide range of varieties and different prices to base your budgets on. For example Milk in Russia has over a Hundred different brands. With less than 5 dollars, you can buy 2 bottles of beer 33cl each, 2litres coca-cola or lemon flavoured sprite, 400g of bread, 1 pringles if you have a discount card from the store (magazene), then you'll spend lesser than 4 dollars in all the items i mentioned. The competition is high and their's often discounts on products.

Look up this on the internet: What 5 dollars can buy in Moscow.

On the IT sector no doubt Russia is good at it and visit will convice you. But if you hate Russia before now, DOn't visit lol. Or dont enter Russia hoping to cross to Germany through Russia. If have such mind set you're trapped.

On the Russian Langguage, if you're foreign student, your first year will be on Russian language courses.

The language to some people is difficult, to some persons its easy. This depends on how fast one can learn.

Note: Russian Language is very important even outside Russia. Theri language is the 7 most spoken language in the world and the first spoken language in space.

And bro their isn't any need to say sorry for asking so many questions.

The most smartest people on earth are the ones that asks the most questions.

Thanks for asking bro.

Yakutsk in Russia is the coldest city in the world. But Russia as whole isn't.

Canada is colder than Russia.

To Survive the cold in Russia dress like them. Make sure you equip yourself with good winter wears speacifically made for Russia. Not Nigerian sweater oo. LOL
.
In Russia you must have summer , Mid winter and winter wears. Though, Druing Winter the Govt often switch on the heater that heats every home. If your home isn't in the city or connected to the general heating supply. You'll do yourself well to buy a portable heating system. Though, heating system is a basic thing in home in Russia.

The cultural shock would be different for different people. But in my own case i have experienced a lot of their culture. lol they even have a Masquerade that looks like Ekpo calabar.

They same way we have small farm at our backyard or front of our house in the village in Nigeria so do they. Thay have a summer house called Dacha in Russian language where they often go to rest on weekends during summer.

There, they make a small farms, plant flowers and cucumber, Katoshka, Wildberries etc.

Like in Nigeria at night we don't whistle, in Russia they don't whistle in the house because it is believed that you're blowing away wealth.

YOU CAN READ MORE ON MY BLOG AFRICANINRUSSIA DOT COM

Russia has a rich reserved culture.

OP you haven't tell us about the weather, the cost of living and what cultural shook did you experience.

Africans often read westernized Propaganda about Russia and they believe it without Experincing it. Travelling is Education.

Its Nice you have visited Russia for yourself and experienced it first hand. Rather than reading reading the propaganda on google first 20 pages.

amleroy:
Nice thread ! Russia is actually a nice place, I don’t know where Africans get that mentality of racism from though, lol, last time I visited Russia it was really fun grin
And yes Russians are nice, on two different occasion, some locals approached me so we could snap pictures together because they don’t get to see black skins a lot in Saratov , I was like shocked

One may live in a country where 1 unit of their currency in exchange is 800 naira, 450, 600naira. But in those countries to make the money theoir decently is difficult. Even whne you make it, You spend it on House rent, water bill, Light bill, Food, and etc. You'll be left with little or nothing to send home.

It doesn't have to do with the value of the money in excahnge rate, but the standard of living.

What less than 5 dollars can buy in Russia, you can't buy in the US, UK, NZL etc.

If you can join Quora and spy on American comments you'll shout.

Though if you know your balls as a Nigerian you can make it anywhere even in North Korea LoL.

YungLasaint:
He's looking at the aspects of sending money home. Unlike dollar, pound or Euro if you send shikini money e go make sense for naira. grin

That's we Africans for you lol.
Joohan:
Lmao grin you're using a county's currency value to judge the standard of living of the county cheesy S'Korea are lightyears ahead of us but Google search the value of their currency against our "Almighty" naira

Yes it is hard not only in Russia. But Russia has the easiest process in Europe and Eurasia.

They are many ways to get it, but could be a bit difficult depending the method:

You can get through investment i.e investing in Russia around 500k usd to 1m usd.

Another is way is through marriage to Russian citizens

But you wouldn't just be givien Residence because you marriead a russian citizen. You must prove you know how to speak the Russian language and history of Russia through writing and passing the Examinations.

If you pass the exams only then can you now be legible to apply. when you apply the process takes 6months and your residence will be out. in this case you do not need to go through the quota system. If you're married to a Russian your case is top priority.

The other way is going through the Quota system which everyone can try, you also need to pass the Russian History and language exams. And then send in your application with all the necessary documents You must hold a valid visa of up to 6months. You could be lucky.

This is just a brief. i hpe this helps.

amleroy:
I don’t know much about PR for Russia though, my trips there was just for visit purpose, first was for vacation then later I also went to watch super eagles at the FIFA World Cup.

The tourist visa is a bit easy to get as long as you have legit supporting documents but I met a couple of Africans based in Russia sha, some are married to Russian ladies but mostly students.

But you can ask the boss that created the thread here, he should know more about PR since he is based there . Cheers

In as much as we i'm angry about the poor system of things in Nigeria. I'd say that European countries are also taking such tax from it's citizens. but why im angry at the Nigerian govt isn;t over the taxation. im angry that they do not use the money in developing Nigeria and Nigerians
coolcharm:
The Egyptians and Taxmasters are here.

An irresponsible and insensitive government.

They can keep the schools locked down but want to force everyone to go to the Banks.

In less than 1 week:

Fuel price... Boom!

Electricity tarrif... Boom!!

Then this!

Yet minimum wage is below 25k in most states.

Where are all the 4+4 and sai Baba people?

Well... We are all in this together smiley

One Man saw through it all.

"The choice before Nigerians in the coming elections is simple: A choice between going forward or going backwards; between the new ways and the old ways; between freedom and repression; between a record of visible achievements and beneficial reforms-and desperate power-seekers with empty promises."

I feel like some people are just experts in destroying what's left of Nigeria's image.

The way some "hustlers" have dented Nigeria's image in Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines etc), makes me feel like it's deliberate sometimes...

You go abroad, you behave loud and flamboyant, you scam, you deal drugs and make yourself a target. Such a pity. embarassed
