VIRGING IN THE LABOUR ROOM


The round star that gives light from the sky at night and moves round the earth was about drawing near. The four bed room flat is been decorated with flowers, gave aesthetics to the front of the house and the surroundings.
The inner house was decorated with well carved wooden chairs; the flat television screen was located at the corner of the master bedroom with heavy speakers. At the centre of the house was a glass table of silver colour, on it was a Chinese flower vase painted with black and designed with white and red colour.
Every where was cool and calm as every where was guarded with the ever freezing air conditioner. Seyi a graduate of pharmacy at the University of Joy, dark and beautiful with hips well carved and drawn figure eight by a professional artist is married to Olu who works at the Fermron Petroleum Company has the General Manager of the Engineering department. Seyi’s parents were so happy for their daughter who had always said she wanted to be a nun.
Seyi had never known what it felt like to be pregnant after some years of marriage. She has seen several women pregnant and some had given birth but she has never heard the cry of her child.
Few months passes and Seyi visited her doctor who gave her the result after she had complained about some things to him. She opened it ,read it, and like a fan in the stadium whose club as just scored a last minute goal, she jumped, “ congratulations ma, you are tow months pregnant” “Thank you doctor” she danced like never before, that was another golden moment of her life. She ran out of the office like a child who is going to meet his mother ignoring his unclothedness on the street. She forgot her bag as she drove towards the gateman and wanted to tip him and ran back to get it. She drove into the house almost knocking down the gateman which made him ask “is madam drunk”? She got inside and went to the kitchen to prepare something wonderful for the special occasion waiting for her sweet Olu to come back. She could not wait but curious of his arrival as she was cooking, she took a peep at the window. it was like the baby was born.
Olu finally arrived and went into the bed room “Seyi am home” he exclaimed without any response, he called out again. Seyi hearing his voice shouted and ran out of the bathroom forgetting there was soap over her and coming out nude, Olu was shocked at the impromptu acting; with his eyes gouged out he said “are you alright”? not minding him, she hugged him and kissed him then said “welcome” Olu was perplexed and speechless at the scene he came to met at home. With Olu’s suit stained with soap, he stood and watches his nude wife go to the wardrobe to bring the envelope. She handed it to him and like a volcano that erupts, he shouted, pulled his nude wife up to dance. He kissed her times without number, they were both contended with shouting and jeering as there was excitement in the air. The foundation of the house shook for joy as the moonlight smiled down at them through the window.
Olu filled with joy and excitement kissed Seyi so softly that it led them to the bed and as both were getting into the mood of making love, Seyi remembered she kept something on the fire and stopped the action.
Months passed, Seyi and her husband went to the hospital to check for the sex of their unborn child, and the doctor told them they were expecting a baby girl any moment. Both went shopping to get the female clothing for their unborn baby girl.
The large bright star in the sky that gives earth light and heat came close, Seyi was coming out of the kitchen, she felt a kick from the baby, and she thought it was normal so she ignored it but it came harder and harder again until she could no longer hold it any more. She began murmuring, holding the pillar that gives support to the house, leading to the dinning table. “Daniel, she called out for the diver. “God help me”
“Daniel where are you”? She went down on the floor “mmmhh, haa” trying to get up but she could not. Daniel came back from where he went to and was approaching the boy’s quarters when he heard Seyi’s voice; he ran pass the kitchen to the sitting room to meet her. He saw her on the floor and ran to her.
“Madam sorry, sorry”
“Try and get up”
“I cannot hmmmm, hospital hmmmm”
Daniel succeeds in getting her up and took her to the hospital where he handed her over to the nurses and called Olu.
“Madam take it easy, everything will be alright”
“Olu where are you hmmm?”
“Push madam and stop calling for your husband”
“Push madam, push”
“Harder madam”
“Olu hmmmm, Oluuuuuuu”
Seyi pushed her life out withal her strength and might as she screamed into the hearing of her classmates in the class room while the teacher was teaching. Seyi had lost concentration and slept off while meditating on the film she watched a day before. She was just a girl of ten years still in the primary level.

Time will tell... Though i dont wish him dead, but if truely he is still alive and healthy, he should address the press
