Family › Re: My Wife Insists No Sex Until Wedding Night Even After Our Traditional Wedding by austertee01(m): 1:16pm On Oct 31, 2019 |
Dear Op, I really understand your point and can relate on your position, but in fairness to your wife, she's already told you right from onset what she wanted. Secondly, you told us she is a born again which means, traditionally, you guys are married but according to her faith, you are not married but only engaged until the church rite. My advise, you have really tried waiting for almost 2 years without sex with her (I'm not sure I can... smiles), please fast track your white wedding preparation if you cant wait any longer and you can start having her honey to yourself. Suspending the white wedding only suspended your days in her paradise as it seems she is a lady that you love genuinely. Above all, please be patient with her and am sure she will forever appreciate you for that and vice versa. God bless your union. igwegeorgiano: Friends on NL I greet you all. Trust your day is going well? It is with very heavy heart and confused state of mind I sent this post on this platform so you can advise me on what line of action I should take. Pastors and genuine men of God should also advise me on what to do as well.
There is this lady i have been dating for about a year and 6 months now. We love each other to the moon and most importantly we respect each other opinion and decisions. She is a born again christian who appreciates the things of God more than she appreciates me which of course I have no issues with.
When we agreed to start up a relationship after being friends for about 6 months, it was agreed that there will be no sex until the wedding night but at a point I asked her "what if we are done with traditional marriage rites are we still not gonna have sex? To my creates surprise she said we won't until church wedding is done. I did not actually took her serious.
Fast forward, on the 15th of July 2019 the traditional marriage was done in her father' compound in the east and all I was asked to pay and give was paid and given without any remainder . after the traditional marriage we went back to my house in abuja. Note that we were not staying together before now. I am base in abuja while she is in owerri. When we got home that night I told her we can now make love as husband and wife hence the traditional rites has been done and most importantly the bride price paid. To my amazement my wife bluntly refused. She told me she will never compromise her stand on pre marital sex
I have been very faithful to our agreement based on her claim that she is a virgin. But refusing me my right over her body after every thing including the bride price has been paid is something I can never subscribed to and to this end I have I have involved her parent and her pastor her decision however, still remain no sex till the wedding night. I am putting the wedding on hold for now until she willingly allow me make love to her and she seems not to be comfortable with my decision as well.
This is the dilemma I have found myself please I need your wise counsels on this. Thanks and remain bless. Moderators kindly push this post to the front page so it can have adequate views it deserves thanks |

Sir, it is a strictly NO to that marriage except you are ready to have your babies through IVF (where you have an option to choice their genotype). Also be informed that there will be nothing like 'my wife mistakenly take-in' BroAchival: Greetings to this great house,
As I type this message, my heart is heavy.
Up till today, I have never known my genotype till I went to do medical fitness test for my job/employment process.
I've being dating by girlfriend for about two years and seven months now, and I've always seen her as a perfect match to me, not because she's perfect, but because she's very loyal, reserved and calm, respectful, teachable, willing to learn, beautiful and very supportive to say a few.
Kai, the thought of losing her is killing and unexplainable. She had been a BLESSING to me all these while. We've really worked on ourselves and helped each other to overcome our weaknesses.
With the challenges of my new and better job, will I really have that time to woo women and start the process of working on a woman to blend and suit me?
And this is a girl I'm planning to settle down with by the middle of next year, after I must have gotten used to my new job.
I have always believed that my genotype would be AA, but I was wrong!
Somebody told me that there's nothing God can not do, that he has seen people giving testimonies about change of genotypes. I didn't doubt him, it's just that i'm not the "churchious" type who easily believe all those stories.
Now, my questions are:
1.) Is it possible to have just two children without an SS child?
2.) How do I relate this sad news to her (after she has turned down several serious marriage proposals because of me)?
3.) Please, what do I do?
Please, help me and send this to front page for greater views and advice.
Matured and very serious advice needed.
Thanks. |

Good afternoon bro, I don't usually comment on things like this... I don't even know what to advise you as at when I started typing this. However, I will talk to you in the following bullet points: 1. You girlfriend is authoritative and your are in for a deep trouble should you marry that girl especially if she is your success story! 2. I know you are a graduate and of age (20s), but I think what is paramount now is to 'make yourself'. You will be surprise plenty specs of your pretty girl in Abuja here in Lagos will be ready to marry you (your focus should be getting yourself job/business). 3. Sincerely, no matter what the lady plan to do in Abuja, expect if she help you with a good paying job, it doesn't worth your relocation. 4. Oga, you are in for a good thing in Lagos - all the jobs is in Lagos (smiles). You will always get something to do as far as you are not lazy and can defend your certificate. 5. Please calm down and be a man, we sincerely need our women advise and support but it is very unhealthy when they command with deadlines. 6. CALM DOWN AND FINISH YOUR SERVICE IN LAGOS - WHO KNOWS, YOUR JOB MIGHT JUST BE WAITING FOR YOU!!! Mensah007: I had to open another account to post this. Me and my gf graduated from the school and are currently serving. I'm serving in Lagos while she is in abuja. She was actually redeployed from a far north state to abuja with money by her parents. We re both in our mid 20s, We love each other so much and would like to marry asap if money comes. After we graduated from Uniben, she persuaded me to go over with her to abuja and search for greener pasture, i made frantic calls in attempts to secure a place to squat over there but to no avail, I had no relatives there and d few friends I have there aren't that close. I later had to go over to Lagos to hustle because i have a few relatives there. Even while i was in Lagos she was still insisting i come over to abuja, reasons that abuja is a more lucrative city. I truly agree to that fact but i seriously have nobody to squat with and I have nobody at all in abuja, not even been to abuja before. At a time she managed to convince one of her mum's sales boys to take me in in his room but the guy disappointed at the last minute so I had to stay back.
Nysc came, I'm serving in Lagos, she was posted to Kebbi and later redeployed to Abuja. While in camp too, I tried redeploying to abuja on health grounds but I was redeployed bk to Edo state so i had to cancel the application and stay bk. She has been hampering that i redeploy to Abuja but i don't have the 50k fee to pay.
I'm now in Lagos serving in a school, during the holidays i always go out to look for a good job or a good hustle to do. I wasted transport fares and stress attending interviews daily and meeting people but nothing came out yet. Though i did one gig BA job and im yet to get paid. She is still insisting im lazy nd wasting away in Lagos nd i should come over to Abuja. I would like to add that I saw myself thru school with supports from my parents so I'm not lazy. One regret I have is that the hustles i did in uniben are not long term and can't be moved to Lagos. My plan is to find a good job or good hustle and ghost nysc . Im also looking forward to saving to buy a good laptop and starting online business because i have learnt a lot on Nairaland although saving 80k from 19,800 salary might take time.
I have managed to secure a room in a flat where im staying currently, I have resigned myself to be teaching in my ppa for the meantime and still be looking out . She recently became more persistent about the abuja move and gave me few days to come over or forget about her. She initially proposed to pay 50k for d relocation lobbying but relocation for my batch isn't possible until October ending. She however insist i must be in abuja this Saturday. I have been thinking about this all week, i don't know anybody in abuja, I don't have accommodation there, how do i do my clearance in Lagos if I move, I don't even have money so I will live off her benevolence till I find something doing. Had it been i have a sure hustle/job to take up in abuja, i can make the sacrifice and leave my apartment in Lagos here. I'm just confused. I need advice please |

Adviseasister: Good evening Nairalanders,
I had to create a new moniker for this, but I believe my guy will know this is for him.
Sometime last year I received a PM from a nlder. After going through his posts, I was pleased and we started talking. One thing led to another and we started a relationship. I must confess he is everything a woman wants in a man, he brought out this part of me I never knew existed and he did it so easily. We started seeing a future, I was happy.
Fast forward to February this year, I noticed a decline in communication. I complained and he blamed it on work. It continued and I had to ask what the problem is, he maintained it was work.
By March, things got worse and I have not been able to concentrate at work. I send him voice-notes and he responds hours later. I send messages and he responds with one word. I must also add he doesn't pick my calls at night anymore, but his NL profile would be seen online, though he won't comment.
I do not know what to do as I can't bring myself to love someone else as I love him. It is a long distance relationship and I do not know what to do. Is it possible he is facing challenges there and doesn't want to share?
Should I wait for him to come around or move on? Has anyone been in this situation before, how did you manage it? I feel so heartbroken. My sincere question before I can advise you properly... Is the guy abroad and you here in Nigeria? |

Bros, I stay in Awoyaya and work in VI. Wake up time is 4.30am to beat morning traffick, leaving office 9pm to beat evening traffick. I do arrive home 10-11pm everyday.
Now my advise, take the job of 200k in Lakowe, I can help you get a 2 bedroom in Lakowe/Awoyaya for 350-450k (depending on your taste). With this you are saving yourself the risk of riding bike here daily, you save a lot on tfare as you will only have to take 50naira cab to your office and non if your house is so close and you can sleep till 7.30am in your house and get home 6pm daily (your children will know their father this way, lols).
Also, you don't have a business pass Ajah bridge as everything you need is right there from Abraham Adesanya roundabouts.
Finally, if you are a night crawler like myself, you have a lot of places to catch fun to the fullest here starting from Total Lounge, Royalty Lounge, Whiskey Ice, Vocalno Strip Club, Askamaya Strip, Wadbash, Royal Bliss, Mayfair Garden, Val-time, Mama Nkechi Beer parlour and Shalaye Sepe Joint (if you no too owe cash) to mention few.
I one cent... Best of luck! |

WHY YOU SHOULD INVEST IN IBEJU LEKKI TODAY! LIVE STORY: Why you should own a plot of land in our estates in Ibeju Lekki Now! Mr Akin living in Lagos was preparing to travel to the states. As a wise investor, he decides to invest some money in property in Lekki by buying some plots of land. This was in 2001. He contacted the realtor who showed him some choice locations at N6m/plot. "This is expensive. It will take 30yrs for this to develop" - Mr Akin lamented. He traveled without buying the property. After 15yrs in the states, he returned to find out to his bewilderment that Lekki has developed beyond his expectation. He called his realtor to get him a quote. "I have some brief Mr Akin and the cheapest among them is N120m/plot" - The realtor said. Mr Akin was shocked. He didn't take the realtor for his words. He searched around and found out that it was true. LESSON 1: "Don't wait to buy land, buy land wait" After frantic search, he was able to get an offer at Ibeju-Lekki for N3.5.m/plot. He's going to buy 50 plots this time. He has learnt his lessons. He told the realtor he will be paying the next day. He forgot. After a week, he called to initiate the transfer and he was shocked to hear the estate was sold out. LESSON 2: "The Land you inspected yesterday and planning to pay today is the same land someone inspected yesterday planning to pay today. He ended up buying a property nearby for N2m/plot against the N1.6m. Don't be Mr Akin, Invest in our penny selling estates in Ibeju Lekki Lagos.
