yarimo:
Failures 😆😆 ? How about obi that increase poverty rate as governor of small anambra state that is not up to a LGA in Niger state
Amoda the last time I checked Anambra is bigger than Lagos and if Anambra is not as big as a LG in Niger state then Lagos is not as big as some communities in Niger state, but yet you celebrated Tinubu for converting Lagos to his personal estate, the only employment he created are area boys, omonile, motor park touts,Lastma etc and of course building 'Lagos from the Atlantic ocean'!...I no fit laff!
CrimeRe: ASP Nuhu Usman Arrested For Killing Mene Ogidi by AustineE1:
Its obvious that the police guy is hiding something because in the video the young man was crying and begging, asking to be giving an opportunity to lead them to the people involved but rather they gave him bullet and snuffed life out of him.
Something is not adding up and this must not slide away, human right groups, activists and family members must make sure that Ogidi gets justice.

CultureRe: Supreme Court Verdict Settles Umuchukwu Identity, Igwe Maduka’s Election Final – by AustineE1: 10:00am On Apr 26
Goldforever:
What the Supreme Court actually decided:
The Supreme Court did NOT give a final judgment confirming the name change from Nkerehi to Umuchukwu.

The case before the Supreme Court was only an interlocutory appeal (a preliminary issue), not the main case.
Specifically, the appellants were trying to stop (prohibit) the government from conducting a referendum on the name change.
👉 The Supreme Court outcome:
The appeal was dismissed (because it was withdrawn by the appellants).

What that decision legally means
The ruling only confirmed that the government can conduct a referendum on whether to change the community’s name.
It did NOT settle the main dispute about whether the name should legally be Nkerehi or Umuchukwu.

Status of the main case
The substantive issue (actual name change) is still pending at the Anambra State High Court (Aguata).

That means:
The legality of the gazette changing the name is still being challenged.
No final Supreme Court pronouncement has been made on that core issue.
Why there is confusion
Some reports claimed the Supreme Court “affirmed the name change.”
That interpretation comes from the fact that:
Lower court decisions favoring the process were not overturned.
Legally:
No final determination on the name itself has been made by the Supreme Court.

🧾 Simple summary
❌ Supreme Court did NOT finally decide “Umuchukwu vs Nkerehi.

✅ Supreme Court only dismissed an appeal about stopping a referendum.
⚖️ The real case about the validity of the name change is still in court (High Court Aguata).

The UPU PG was wrong there was not such judgement from supreme court. The Nkerehi side withdrawal of the appeal is the only reason the case was struck out and a fine awarded. Explain - Supreme Court stage (Recent development)
The case reached the Supreme Court of Nigeria — BUT:
Only on a preliminary issue (interlocutory appeal)
👉 What happened:
The appellants (Nkerehi side) withdrew the appeal
The Supreme Court dismissed the case
Costs were awarded against the appellants

What the Supreme Court decision really means, It did NOT decide:
Whether the town is legally Umuchukwu or Nkerehi, It ONLY means:
The earlier rulings allowing processes like referendum were not stopped
🔴 Current legal status (VERY IMPORTANT)
The main case is STILL pending at:
Anambra State High Court, Aguata
👉 That case will decide:
Whether the gazette is valid

Whether the community is legally:
✅ Umuchukwu or Nkerehi
⚠️ Key takeaway (no confusion)
❌ Supreme Court has NOT given final judgment on the name
✅ The dispute is STILL legally unresolved
⚖️ Final authority now lies with the High Court decision (unless appealed again later) People must stop this act of misinterpreting laws without understanding what the law means. This case has a long way to go unless the two groups comes together to bury their sword for peace to reign on both sides. Thank you
So who is afraid of a referendum on the change of name?why are they appellants against a referendum? They people to be captured in the referendum are the people of the community,so let their voice be heard? They people have said categorically, that they prefer 'Umuchukwu' as the name of the community and a few recalcitrant ones wants to suppress the voice of the generality of the people. So in this case, who is the oppressor?
CultureRe: Supreme Court Verdict Settles Umuchukwu Identity, Igwe Maduka’s Election Final – by AustineE1: 9:50am On Apr 26
Galactics:
Not by the Nigerian government. It is a case of one man waking up one morning and changing the name of his ancestral town from Nkerehi to Umuchukwu, because he has made money. He even went ahead to install his younger brother as the Igwe of the community. That man is no other person than Dr Godwin Maduka.
Oga go rest with your screwed narratives, you would prefer darkness to light, they whole community agreed on the change of name except some few idol worshippers who thinks that the old name symbolizes subservience to the deity....all over the world nations change names especially when such no longer befits its present status. Can we now allow this issue to rest, since supreme court has given its verdict.
PoliticsRe: Referendum For Anioma Will Be Conducted In Only The 9 Lgas In Delta North by AustineE1: 9:29pm On Apr 24
Lifestone:
Moving the proposed State capital from Asaba to Orlu is a very sticky part of the whole arrangement. Most will definitely not agree. They should retain the Capital in Asaba, and move Delta State Capital to Warri
That's a good observation.
PoliticsRe: Referendum For Anioma Will Be Conducted In Only The 9 Lgas In Delta North by AustineE1: 1:54pm On Apr 23
Is it a crime that we the igbo speaking part of Delta wants to join the rest of our brothers in the south east....all over the world there is renewed sense of ethnic identity and we have spoken!
If we have referendum,I can assure you that over 90% of my Anioma people wants to join the rest of the greater Igbo nation. We don't hate other tribes in Delta,we only want to join our brothers while we keep our relationship with other beautiful tribes of delta.

PoliticsRe: Do You Still Remember How Engr. Funsho Williams Was Assassinated? by AustineE1: 5:45pm On Apr 20
It was such a tragic event,he was the governor Lagos never had.
Evil men whom never want good for the people of Lagos, those whom want to keep the populace in perpetual servitude, may have been responsible for his death.
But they can only kill the flesh and not the soul, which I believe has created a divine rapport with heavenly bodies. Your killers will never no peace even if they are living in reckless afflience and abundance, there death will be more terrifying and may it come when they are enjoying life most.

Why are you mentioning that 'data boy'' and 'rice crew' ,his opinion is very inconsequential.
This is one governor that shouldn't spend a penny in campaigning,he will easily get over 95% of the votes before 10 AM on the elections day, as long as God keeps him alive.

A party with over 30 state governors, over 600 local government chairpersons, with all the security agencies, government officials, over 100 senators, over 200 house of representative members, with the presidency, with the judiciary and lastly with INEC, is a afraid of the opposition political parties. What an irony.
With a free and fare election in Nigeria, APC will lose next year's general elections.
Devoid of rigging and shenanigans, the elections would be fought and won by ADC before 12pm on election day .You can take it to the bank.

PoliticsRe: I Was Contacted To Assassinate Sowore, I Rejected The Offer - Ijele Speaks by AustineE1:
This Buhari apologist should go and hide his face in shame, they got Nigeria into this mess, while bandits where busy causing havoc all over the country they turned a blind eye and all their problem was Nnamdi Kanu, look were Nigeria is today and sadly enough the tyrant and extremist Buhari is now late.
From Ijele's account of what transpired when he was allegedly hired to assassinate Sowore,it shows he may have been into assassination before he was approached, nobody just walk up to you and ask you to kill for him.
Questions need to be answered regarding the assasination Dr Dora Akunyili(prof. Dora Akunyili's husband),Mr Gulak and a host of extra judicial killings in the south east during the Buhari time.
It is also a known fact that Buhari hates the south east and called them a dot in the circle.
Asari Dokubo also claimed he carried out a private military operation in the south east,so when the time is ripe, the truth on the various killings that took place in the south east at that time will be revealed.
Just may be,Nnamdi Kanu was giving a bad name inother to hang him. Time reveals all!

Where are those online janitors of Buhari's government whom kept making excuses for these terrorists and including sheikh Gumi that tried to change the narratives, they were busy claiming that it is herders farmers crisis, now the boogeyman has come closer to home and everybody is now unsettled.
USA asked their citizens not to travel to Nigeria because the situation has deteriorated so much and other countries will soon follow suit.
We had the opportunity to nip it in the bud but politics, tribal affiliation and religion played a big part in the calamity that has befallen us.
This is a big lesson, only if tomorrow ever comes for Nigeria again. My heart bleeds!
PoliticsRe: I Keep Asking What Was Jonathan's Offense To Tinubu And His Supporters? by AustineE1: 7:46pm On Apr 08

If any group think they deserve 30 and are being given ten then they would have no choice than to withdraw their support from the President.
Oil is also in the SW. The SW is second highest in oil production. There is no need to be saying oil is only from the SE and SS.
Then the biggest assault on the Jonathan Presidency is the statement made by one MEND leader that Jonathan masterminded a bomb blast that killed Nigerians in Abuja. That is a first in Nigerian history. The person who said so did so under oath in South Africa. I think Henry Okah or so.
There is nothing wrong if any group withdraw support from anyone at any time if they no longer feel served by that association
You failed in your efforts to change the narratives, his only crime was that he is a Christian from the minority south south and had the audacity to make a south southerner and at one time a south Easterner the chief of army staff and made sure that certain juicy appointments usually kept for politicians were giving to technocrats.
Then coupled with the fact that the North felt aggrieved by the fact that Yaradua did not complete the northern period for presidency before he passed away and Jonathan coming back for a second term would mean diminishing their influence.
Along came the formation of the worst party ever, the APC which was a congregation of ethnic supremacists, religious fanatics, ethnic jingoist, tribal warlords and now Nigerians are paying the big price.
PDP gave us nationalistic leaders like Obasanjo,Yaradua and Goodluck Jonathan but the reverse is now the case
Meanwhile just to let you know that the south east has the largest reserve of gas than anyother in sub Saharan Africa...like they say 'the future is gas'.

Will the gate be locked at night?if so then pedestrians will be forced to cross the highway at night which is even far more dangerous than any security threat witnessed on the pedestrian cross. If it's going to be open at night then why put the gate?except the LG will provide security at the gates at night.

You could imagine such an unnecessary and unpresidential statement in a very sensitive society like Nigeria, coming from this national clown,i quote him, 'Instead, he went to the embrace of his IPOB base, the so-called Obidient movement'!
Shame on you for trying to fan the embers of tribalism.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Will Get 80% Of South-East Votes In 2027 - Umahi by AustineE1: 6:07am On Apr 04
Umahi is more stupid than I had earlier thought he was. You insult Igbos and thinking you are campaigning for the megalomaniac in Abuja. Could you imagine,by giving an Igbo man minister of works means Igbos are no longer marginalized.
You think this whole institutionalized and systemic marginalization of your people is simply about individual political appointments.
We are not talking about marginalization,we are talking about multi dimensional poverty in Nigeria,we are talking about total security collapse,we are talking hyper inflation,we are talking about governance with reckless impunity,we are talking about the worst forms of corruption in governance,we are talking about near electricity collapse,we are talking about collapse of thousands of businesses across the country etc.

In all my entire life,I have never seen a megalomaniac like Tinubu, how can a man be so scared of competition,if you are doing the right thing, then you should be willing to be tested in the 'popularity field'.
Even Buhari a former dictator whom later became a civilian president was never afraid of contesting against others because he knows he has organic supporters.
Money can buy some people, buy you connections, buy you security but no matter how powerful money is,it can never by you organic followers.
They will of the people will conquer.

WHAT'S DELAYING THEM?

You said you'll open the straits of humos since, and it's already two weeks.

The clown and his evil terrorist counterpart from Israel really miscalculated. They thought Iran is like Hamas or Venezuela grin

If dem born una papa well, face Iran in ground combat and we'll see how many body-bags that will be sent back to USA in just one week.
Ground invasion totally makes things easy for Iran.
This war will likely put an end to USA's bully and supremacy. Their loss will be far worse than what happened in Vietnam.

The people I pity the most is even Israel and that comedian in Ukraine.
He has not finished defending himself and his people from Russia, he wants to also get involved with iran grin grin grin

RUSSIA AND CHINA have finally succeeded in getting a testing ground for all their new toys, especially China. There'll so many Christmas lights and pesticides rains in Israel.
As long as that testing ground will be in Iran, nice one!...after the war,it will take Iran and it's already failed economy more than 50yrs to recover. That has always been the desire of the Israelis.

Same with yorubas....they will take this igbos over sowore..... soludo, moghalu, mbah, otti and some few others.....don't force obi down our throats,he is seen as a bigot by yoruba moslems and a chauvinist by the rest.....Bianca is working quietly in a yoruba govt abd she is doing excellently well, yorubas love her same way igbos do.
The very moment a Soludo or Otti etc decides to contest for presidency, that's when you will see the true colour of most Yorubas,he is reminded that he is 'omo igbo' and can not be trusted, just that Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour whom contested for Lagos governorship seat in the last elections were assumed to have an Igbo heritage, they tagged him 'Chinedu omo igbo',and their vulnerable masses followed suit and never gave him a chance. Till this day he is hated in some quarters because he is assumed to be untribalistic and too much of a moderate to be allowed close to the corridors of power.
The tribalistic nature of the Yorubas came to play even at the national level of governance,we can all judge nature of nepotistic appointments as never have been witnessed in the history of this nation, even Buhari the unapologetic Fulani supremacist fared better. Take a look at Lagos,it seems its state sponsored and you could imagine that certain streets bearing the name of Igbos were renamed because they can not believe how a 'Yoruba demi god' like Tinubu could be defeated in a free and fair elections in Lagos even inspite of obvious voters intimidation.

There's nothing terrific about any tribe. What we should pray for as citizens is to have a good leader irrespective of tribe. The North that gave us Buhari also gave us a good Yar Adua. The South West that gave us Tinubu also gave us a Good Obasanjo.
That's accepting failure as a way of life, let's assume that the north mistakenly gave us Buhari and South West mistakenly gave us Tinubu then why re-enforcing failure by supporting them for a second term. You can't keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
