I sold a plot of swampy land close to Dangote refinery after Funke Akindele's Jenifa estate for #500k in 2012, today the owner will not collect #20million from you if they want to sell just because of the coastal highway. This government knows far more than Olawepo Hashim when it comes to activities in the downstream oil and gas sector.

Funny enough,some of grew up in Lagos and are made to believe that Nigerian economy starts and ends in Lagos,believing that a plot of land went up astronomically is an indices for economic improvement,it could be a factor of the hyperinflation we are in,which was made possible by this government.
Do you know the value of 500k to dollar in 2021 incomparism with what you have now.
We can not have terribly dilapidated network of roads littering the whole country because of lack of fund according to the government and you go ahead and embark on an enormous money gobbling new road when the old ones are impassable....men,many Nigerians are so dumb that they may never understand the economy of misappropriation!

I hope he won't be called 'Chinedu' Gbenga Hashim for telling them the truth about the money draining elephant project called Lagos-Calabar highway,which allegedly is a conduit pipe for financing 2027 elections.
Such money should have been invested into meaningful production and fixing of the existing terrible network of roads in Nigeria.
This is what you get,when you vote leaders who thinks of self before the interest of the nation.

I have watched Rufai Oseni for a long time.

I have watched the interruptions, political monologues masquerading as questions, assertions delivered with prosecutorial certainty, and the transformation that sometimes occurs when Rufai begins as interviewer and ends as prosecutor, witness and judge.

Yesterday morning gave me the perfect reason to stop watching and start documenting.

On Arise News’ The Morning Show, Rufai became so carried away during commentary involving Nyesom Wike and other political actors that his own senior colleague, Dr Reuben Abati, intervened LIVE ON AIR. Abati warned him about challenging people’s integrity, creating innuendo and exposing the station to lawsuits. Rufai pushed back. The exchange became heated.

Think about that. This was not a politician complaining about a hostile interview. It was a senior journalist beside Rufai effectively saying: there is a boundary here.

That moment crystallised my concern. I am not going to merely shout “Rufai is biased.” I am going to audit him.

Interview by interview. Claim by claim. Statistic by statistic. Politician by politician.

My thesis:WHAT RUFAI OSENI INCREASINGLY PRACTISES SHOULD NOT BE CONFUSED WITH REPORTORIAL JOURNALISM.

A better description may be: POLITICAL ADVOCACY BROADCASTING. Some describe him as a crass, crude and rude advocacy commentator masquerading as a neutral interrogator; others see him as a misguided, opinionated and intellectually arrogant political prosecutor with a broadcaster’s microphone.

Sean Hannity has openly called himself a talk-show host, an “advocacy journalist” and an “opinion journalist.” Whatever one thinks of Hannity, his audience knows where he stands. That honesty matters.

My problem with Rufai is not that he has opinions. It is what happens when advocacy puts on the clothes of neutral journalism.

Rufai increasingly resembles a referee who enters the pitch with the whistle around his neck — and then starts taking penalties for one team.

He wants the authority of the interviewer, the freedom of the commentator and the aggression of the advocate.

This series will test one question: DOES THE JOURNALISM CHANGE WHEN THE POLITICIAN CHANGES?

Tinubu. Obi. Atiku. Wike. APC. PDP. ADC. Same microphone. Same evidentiary standard?

If Rufai passes, I will say so. If he does not, the evidence will speak. Because an audit incapable of acquitting its subject is propaganda.

Yesterday, the watchdog had to be checked by another watchdog. That is where we begin.

I am going to link up with some great minds to build the first university of sports in Nigeria,a specialized university for people with interest in sports,especially gifted students etc we will work with internationaI and local sports bodies,football academies and others.we want to fight back the massive decline in sports performance in Nigeria and sub saharan Africa...you guys should watch out for it.

Make sure whatever amount to intend to start sending is sustainable within the first 5 years without burden on your own finances or that of your own family (wife and kids) make them no begin blame your innocent wife when things begin tight and you begin reduce your hand . Since they receive pension; and you have the intention of sending 200k, half it in 3rd , 25k to Mom and 25k to pops every 2 weeks of every month, reinvest the remaining 150k in a mutual fund, eventually if they begin to complain it isn't enough, improve it gradually by 10k.meanwhile, the money you put in mutual funds will be multiplying, that extras , you withdraw and lavish it on them during anniversary or festivities. Rinse and repeat. Abi how you see m?

Are you for real,25k every 2weeks for what,how often are pension paid in Nigeria,can 25k make a pot of stew and soup for them...may be your parents didn't do enough for you while you were a child.
You dont invest with the money which is meant for their upkeep,you invest with your money while balancing your immediate family needs and that of your parents.
