Innocent Oseghale, a Nigerian man suspected of killing and dismembering the body of an 18-year-old girl, Pamela Mastropietro in Macerata, Italy, is not likely to be charged for murder according to reports.

Chopped up pieces of the victim’s body were found in two suitcases but the suspect has denied involvement.

He reportedly told policemen he ran away from the murder scene, his apartment after discovering the teenager had overdosed on drugs.

Italian law enforcement agents found Mastropietro’s “bloodied clothes, large kitchen knives and a meat cleaver” after a visit to the residence of the Nigerian whose connection with the alleged murder has inspired the killing of six Africans in Italy by a neo-fascism supporter Luca Traini.

The agitator, had stated that the death of the innocent people was an act of revenge in favour of 18-year-old Pamela Mastropietro.

Reports have also revealed that another Nigerian man suspected to be drug dealer has been apprehended for selling heroin to the teenager.



The Washington Post’s Griff Witte confirmed in an article that Traini fired about 30 shots over 90 minutes during a Saturday morning attack that left the city of Macerata paralyzed.

“Investigators say he used a Glock semiautomatic pistol to fire out of the window, targeting dark-skinned pedestrians,” Witte expressed in a publication.

Reports revealed that the violent retaliatory response echoed out the minds of native Italians when it concerns immigrants who are considered an alien to their culture.

3. The secret task

The first Housemate to answer the Big Brother phone is automatically selected to carry out a secret task without saying a word to any of the Housemates, not even their partners.

Lolu, who is the housemate this week, has been tasked with getting a female housemate to fall in love with him before Thursday afternoon.

Lolu is making a play for either Ahneeka or Vandora.

The Housemates’ latest task is about sexual consent. Biggie has asked the Housemates to dissect sexual consent through a Radio Drama.

The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus has said that the group that was recently launched by former President Olusegun Obasanjo is not a threat to the party.

The former President, on Thursday, February 1, 2018, officially launched a group known as the Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM).

OBJ also publicly registered as a member of CNM during the launch at the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta in Ogun state.

According to Punch, Secondus said that Nigerians are ready to vote out President Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The PDP chairman said this at a reception organised by the Delta state chapter of the PDP.

Speaking further, Secondus also said “We vowed not to repeat the order of imposition, and we have reassured our leadership and our people that we will devolve power down to the states so that they can take responsibilities and make sure that whatever names that are submitted would not be changed.

“I believe that they would soon come back, those who have left, and there is fear in the country, and very soon, you will see political tsunami that even the members of the ruling party would be coming en-mass to the PDP.

The new coalition will never be a threat because we are a solid political party founded by our founding fathers. We are solid on the ground, and I believe that they are a threat to the other parties and not our party.

“The Buhari administration is a colossal failure, and the entire country is aware of this.”

APC dismisses OBJ’s group

The All Progressives Congress (APC) had earlier dismissed the launch of CNM, saying it isa non-event.

The party’s spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi also said that the group is not a threat.

The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has ordered the arrest of Kassim Afegbua, the media aide to former President Ibrahim Babangida.

Afegbua had earlier issued a statement on Sunday, February 4, 2018, purportedly signed by the former President, reportedly advising President Buhari to resign

In the statement, Babangida called for a new generation of leaders to take over the leadership of Nigeria.

Another statement also made the rounds in the media dismissing Afegbua and denying the first statement.

According to The Nation, a source in the presidency said that IBB’s media aide is being accused of issuing a fake statement.

Meanwhile, former President Ibrahim Babangida has revealed that the denial statement was issued by his friends.

IBB also said that he stands by the first statement which was issued by his media aide, Afegbua.

He said that the media mis-represented the statement, adding that he did not ask Buhari not to contest in 2019

In a recent statement, Babangida asked Nigerians to co-operate with the President until his tenure ends and collectively prepare the way for new generation leaders to assume the mantle of leadership of the country.

“We need to cooperate with President Muhammadu Buhari to complete his term of office on May 29th, 2019 and collectively prepare the way for new generation leaders to assume the mantle of leadership of the country,” Babangida said.

Babangida’s statement is coming on the heels of a letter by ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo advising Buhari not to seek re-election.

Obasanjo attacked President Buhari‘s performance and asked him not to seek reelection in 2019 for the good of the country.

The former president made his feelings about Buhari’s administration known in a 13-page statement released on Tuesday, January, 23, 2018.

In the statement titled, “The Way Out: A Clarion Call for Coalition for Nigeria Movement”, Obasanjo pointed out major failings of the Buhari administration, particularly in the area of economic prosperity.

He said the president has performed below the expectations of Nigerians and asked him to take a backseat in 2019 and help the nation from the sidelines while someone else takes over.

Deal With Sony Music

On October 21, 2016, Ycee, via Tinny Entertainment signed an exclusive deal with Sony Music Entertainment in South Africa.

According to Sony Music, the deal will see the rapper’s first EP, “ The First Wave” released under the label. Michael Ugwu, General Manager, Sony Music West Africa said: “I’m extremely proud to welcome Tinny Entertainment and the amazing talent that is Ycee to the Sony Music Entertainment West Africa family.”

He said he had monitored Ycee’s growth over the year and he was the future of hip-hop in Africa. “I’ve watched this team grow over the past few years and I am amazed at how they have navigated the industry to reach this stage.

“Ycee is the future of hip-hop in Africa and we will be front and centre of SME West Africa’s strategy as we take Africa to the world,” Ugwu said.

Under the label, the rapper dropped his debut EP, ‘The First Wave’ EP in 2017.

Problems With Sony Africa

In August 2017, Ycee accused the General Manager of Sony Music West Africa, Michael Ugwu, of fraud.

The Nigerian rapper took to twitter to point fingers at the label’s executive Michael Ugwu, alleging that he is “eating everyone’s money.”

Ugwu who tweets via his @iam_magicmike account is also the founder of FreemeDigital, a digital distribution company which describes itself as “Nigeria’s foremost online digital music distribution network with a growing array of artists, labels, comedians and content creators across the region on our platform with radio rights to all content licensed.”

It all began when Ugwu quoted a portion of Dremo’s ‘Ojere’ song for a tweet which read as: “Nigga ask about me nigga ask about me…I’m a hustler am a am a hustler”

Ycee quoted the tweet and created a thread filled with allegations of fraud, theft and deception. “That’s what you call what you be doing to artists now ay?” he replied to Ugwu’s ‘hustle’ tweet.



From there things went very accusatory, fast. Ycee indirectly accused Michael Ugwu of ripping artists off via digital music distribution and streaming.

“Ever wondered why these execs running digital sharing companies live like they signed all the artistes?” Ycee asked. “Cos they eating everyone’s [money].”

In 2016, following its business deal with Davido, Sony Music Global (Sony Music Entertainment) extended its business operations to Nigeria. The music corporation opened an office in Lagos. To serve as a bureau for its West African operations. Michael Ugwu, who was the former CEO of Music Company, iROKING, was named as the General Manager of West Africa.

In October 2016, Ycee signed an exclusive deal with Sony Music Entertainment to release the rapper’s debut EP, “The First Wave”. Ugwu who brokered the deal and was pictured with Ycee at the sigining had glowing words of praise. “Ycee is the future of hip-hop in Africa and we will be front and centre of SME West Africa’s strategy as we take Africa to the world,” Ugwu said in a press release about the deal.

KOWA Party: Presidential aspirants will write exam before contesting in 2019 – National Secretary

This was disclosed by the party’s National Secretary, Mark Adebayo, while speaking at the party’s Lagos State congress at Light Chapel Event Centre, Ilupeju, Lagos, on Saturday, February 3, 2018.

He also revealed that gubernatorial aspirants contesting for tickets under the party will be subjected to the same assessment so as to produce the best candidates for important political positions in 2019.

He said, “There will be a written examination for presidential candidates of KOWA Party, and governorship candidates. At least for those two categories. We need a candidate who can sell the party profitably to Nigeria.”

According to Adebayo, the party is eager to choose its presidential flag bearer on August 18, 2018, the date the Independent National Electoral Commission .

While speaking, he confirmed that KOWA already has four aspirants, including Professor Remi Sonaiya, vying for its presidential ticket.

Prof Sonaiya, who was also at the congress, was the party’s flag bearer in the 2015 presidential election and will be expected to be the favourite to win the ticket again for 2019.

In 2015, she won 13,076 votes, 0.05% of the total votes cast, as incumbent, President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) coasted to victory with 15,424,921 (53.96%) votes.

Lagos gets incomplete SEC

At the congress of the party’s Lagos division, six new members were elected to the State Executive Committee (SEC) to oversee its operations.

With 79 out of 489 registered delegates voting through the party’s electronic voting platform, Dr Fadahunsi Fajuyitan was elected as the party’s state chairman after serving as interim since 2016.

Other officers elected include: Dr Bimbo Oyedokun as Deputy Chairman; Emmanuel Ayomide-Baafog as Secretary; Emenyi Abang as Organising Secretary; Abhulimen Marvins as Public Relations Officer; and Chimezie Nwosu as Youth Caucus Leader.

The six new officers fill only half of 12 available positions on the SEC as there were no contestants for positions such as women leader and treasurer.

National Secretary, Adebayo, pointed out the absence of any female contestants which was in violation of the party’s constitution which demands that such a committee is made up of, at least, 35% of the female gender.

He advised the new chairman, Dr Fajuyitan, to conduct a supplementary election to rectify the situation.

A 13-year-old girl allegedly raped by eight men including an Imam, is said to be five months pregnant with twins in Kubau Local Government, Kaduna State.

Head of Arridah Foundation, Hajiya Rabi Salisu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Kaduna that the case was brought to the organisation to assist the girl in getting justice.

She said that the foundation would mobilise support and follow up the case in court “until justice is done.’’

NAN learnt that the Imam is a neighbour of the girl’s parents.

Rabi said: “We have received the case, and I must say in our years of advocacy during which we have treated over 400 cases of rape and child abuses, we have never come across this type of inhumanity.

“It is devastating to see eight men raping a 13-year-old. She is pregnant, she hasn’t even developed breasts at all and her parents are threatening to abort the twins to avert public embarrassment.

“The fact that the rapists are eight in number might even expose her to HIV/AID or sexually transmitted diseases and other dangerous infection as a result of forced sex.

“We need justice for this girl and that is why we need the support of Kaduna state government, all human right organizations and religious leaders to quickly intervene and bring succour to the poor child that is facing daily challenges.”

The father of the girl, Mu’azu Shittu, said he had already taken the case to Upper Sharia Court in Ikara.

According to him, he had contemplated abortion but was advised against it.

“She is too young to be carrying twins and there is no single one among the rapists that is ready to take responsibility for the pregnancy,’’ he lamented.

The girl said the men usually give her N500 and warned her not to tell anybody.

“They usually call and give me N500 when I came back from school and went out hawking; they forced me into it.

“And they have been warning me not to tell my parents, they promise to kill me if I dare tell my parents, that is why I refused to tell my parents, I was so afraid.’’

The Housemates in the Big Brother Naija reality TV show have been banned from laughing as the show gets interesting with each new day.

They have also been banned from engaging in physical touching. The housemates were told on Thursday that they are making the house noisy and also changing the rules of the game.

They were called to order while female housemate, Princess, was seen telling fellow housemates how Nigerian super star, E-Money called her a drunk in a club in Lagos.

She was still telling the story about her ordeal with E-money and his crew; how she tried to hail the star which turned out to be an embarrassment to her, and how she, in another occasion met Star singer, 2face Idibia and his wife, Ani, who received her so well.

The housemates were immediately summoned and cautioned by the Big Brother, who told them that henceforth, there would be no laughing in the house. According to Big Brother;

“We have noticed with disappointment that housemates make unnecessary noise in the house.

“Everyone seems to have something to say at the same time and this is against the rules of the game.”
Envelopes were brought in by the Ninjas which contained the instructions banning them from laughing.

Big Brother further created the “opposite game” to “regulate the noise in the house.”

A teenage mom and dad were jailed for letting rats bite their newborn baby over 100 times. The 15 day-old girl was so badly lacerated by the rodents that she had to undergo extensive reconstruction surgery on her skull.

Social workers who visited the unnamed tot’s home in Magnolia, Ar, also found her cot filled with blood. They found bloody rat footprints throughout the rundown property, and a blanket that was also soaked in blood. Her parents Erica Shyrock, 19, and Charles Elliott, 18, admitted using crystal meth and K2 in the days before the rat attack.

The parents, who were themselves abused as kids and ended up in care, now face up to 20 years in jail after admitting abusing a minor. Their defense attorney Joseph Churchwell told Arkansas Online: ‘They should have never been allowed to leave the hospital with the baby when she was born. Churchwell said. “This is DHS’ [Department of Human Services] fault. Why did they wait until this baby’s face was chewed on by rats?’ The baby has since been adopted.

A man has had his testicles chopped off by his girlfriend in a fit of jealous rage, court documents have revealed.

According to metro.co.uk Zhanna Nurzhanova, 36, allegedly used a scalpel to remove her boyfriend R Suleimanov’s genitals after he confessed to his sister that the was attracted to another woman.

When she looked on his phone she is said to have found pictures of other women. It is claimed that she lulled him into a sex game before sedating him and chopping off his testicles. A leaked court paper said: ‘She offered to play a sex game and tied his legs and arms with four scarves.. ‘Then she took out two pills, allegedly barbiturates, and forced them into the man’s mouth.

At about 2am, she pulled his off his underwear and started accusing him in being in close contact with another woman. ‘She beat his head, face and chest with an aluminium stick. Then she took three ampuls of (anaesthetic) and a syringe, and injected it all around the man’s groin.

Next she took a scalpel and started to make incisions ….cutting the left testicle and tying the spermatic cord with a thread…. ‘She cut off his right testicle and stitched the cut but a thread slid off and the man started bleeding.’ She then took him to hospital in Astana, Khasakstan, where she was detained. If found guilty she could be jailed for up to 10 years, however an expert said that the victim could still have sex in the future.

He suffered ‘stab wounds to the scrotum, (and) amputation of both testicles’. Bulat Shalekenov, chairman of the Men’s Health Association of Kazakhstan, predicted: ‘’If his penis is still in place, he won’t have children, but will be able to have sex. ‘His body will inevitably go through hormonal changes like declining libido, obesity, and chronic fatigue. ‘He will live and might stay a man by using hormone-replacing therapy to replace his lack of testosterone. ‘He might even have a testicles replacement surgery. There were cases like this in the world but we have not done such surgery in Kazakhstan.’

62-year-old man identified as , Mr. Vitalis Okoro, was murdered by suspected assassins in Calabar, Cross River State, after chasing away his son on Wednesday.

It was learnt that the assailants, after killing Vitalis in the bedroom, dragged the corpse into his Toyota Sequoia and drove some distance away from the house on Anaku Street, in the Ikot Effanga Mkpa area of Calabar.
It was gathered that they abandoned the corpse after the fuel in the vehicle finished.




The slain businessman was a cement dealer who had a block moulding industry which later collapsed.

The victim’s three-bedroomed bungalow was said to have been built in an unfenced plot of land.

Our correspondent gathered that the assailants gained access into the house after destroying the burglar-proof window bars in the sitting room.

From the photographs made available to PUNCH Metro, Vitalis’ neck was tied with a blue piece of cloth, while there were several cuts on his body.

An eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said she heard a scream from the victim’s house around 4am, and shortly afterwards, some persons opened one of the doors, dragged the body into the parked car and drove out of the compound.

She said, “I heard someone scream at about 4am and when I peeped through the window, I saw his car outside. I didn’t know what was happening. Shortly afterwards, some people opened one of the house doors and dragged his body out. I guess they entered the building through the back.
“I wanted to call the police, but I did not have credit on my telephone line. Even if I had, I am not sure I would have achieved anything because they left shortly afterwards with his body in the vehicle. That means they had already killed him before bringing him out. I learnt in the morning that they chased the son out of the house before killing him.

“After the incident, my son called to inform me that they abandoned his corpse in the car. He said they left the key in the ignition.”

The younger brother of the deceased, Mr. Moses Okoro, said he learnt about the murder around 8am through a telephone call from a friend.

He said he immediately rushed to Vitalis’ house, where he met the abandoned car on the street with bloodstains in the back seat.

Moses said the victim was not in good terms with his wife who had been invited by the police and was being interrogated at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department of the Cross River State Police Command, Calabar.

He added that the victim’s block moulding business had shut down in Calabar and there were plans to relocate him to their hometown in Owerri, Imo State, when the incident happened.

“My brother was at loggerheads with his estranged wife in the last four years. She had three children for him. All attempts to bring them back together had failed because she refused. The police have already invited the woman for questioning.

“About two weeks ago, we concluded that he would relocate to Owerri and I would help him with a business, but after a while, he would sell his house in Calabar to support his new business life,” he said.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo, confirmed the incident, adding that investigation was ongoing to unravel those behind the murder
