The Muhammadu Buhari established  Presidential Taskforce on CoVID-19 in Nigeria chair-maned by Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of Nigeria has extended the Gradual lock down easing in Nigeria.

During the Daily briefing the Chairman of the Taskforce  Boss Mustapha who said based on their recommendation to the President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari he extended the Lockdown easing.

'The reality is that in spite of the modest progress made, Nigeria is not yet ready for full opening of the economy and tough decisions have to be taken for the good of the greater majority. Any relaxation will only portend grave danger for our populace.

Advisedly, the current phase of eased restriction will be maintained for another two weeks during which stricter enforcement and persuasion measures will be pursued.

The two-week extension of Phase One of the eased restriction is also to enable other segments of the economy prepare adequately for compliance with the guidelines, preparatory to reopening in the coming weeks.

For the PTF, we share your pains but our future is in the hands of every Nigerian and future decisions will depend greatly on our compliance. Based on the recommendations of the PTF, Mr. President has approved the following:”

i) The measures, exemptions, advisories and scope of entities allowed to reopen under phase one of the eased locked down, shall be maintained across the federation for another two weeks effective from 12.00 midnight today (18th May, 2020 to 1st June, 2020);

ii) ​intensifying efforts to “tell (communicate), trace (identify) and treat (manage)” cases; iii) ​elevating the level of community ownership of non-pharmaceutical interventions; iv)​ Maintain the existing lockdown order in Kano for an additional two weeks;

Oh my Fellow Nigerians,  why will we all accept this Nonsense, Where is Buhari and Osinbajo Our President and Our Vice President.

Before I commence I will like to say that there is approximately more than 50,000 Lawyers in Nigeria, we have over 100 Civil society groups and organisation, we have over 200 Comrades as they say but yet they cannot speak up to ask the whereabout of their own President and Vice President.

We have Millions of Graduates, We claim we know everything, we speak grammar, we construct grammar but where is your President and his vice.

Where on earth in  Governance that the Person who we elected will not be seen in camera but in the Mouth and Press releases of his media aides.

Please let's Politics out of this, I am not and don't belong to any political party- I am just a concerned Nigerian.

Somebody should not come and tell me that's the President style; Coronavirus (COVID-19) is ravaging the whole world and finally it came to our Nigeria and the "presidency" as they call themselves instead of giving us our President to head the Presidential Task Force they gave Secretary to Government Boss Mustapha.


Ghana Our neighbour here have their President at the frontline, United State of America have Their President at the Frontline, Our Former Colonial masters United Kingdom Have their Prime Minister at the frontline.

Does it mean that these Governments don't have Secretaries or what.

The Presidency needs to start answering in cool meaningful manner cause this country is ours and not just for them. The Nigeria President, Vice President are to serve us.

Muhammadu Buhari is to serve us, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo are to serve us in this time we are in serious Pandemic, they should be awake  while we sleep because they are under oath.

The Presidency should please as a matter if Urgency release our President and Vice President to us to serve us.

Muhammadu Buhari should head the Frontline and also the Vice President, The Secretary to the Government should go back to his office.

The People Democratic party PDP, Femi Fani-Kayode and Former President of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Chief Onueze Okocha (SAN) has backed the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike Overs  demolition of Hotels.

The Riverss state Government head by Nyesom WIke have on Sunday Demolised two Hotels, Prodest and Etemeteh.

PDP maintained that Wike was leading the war against the spread of COVID-19 from the front.

National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, while insisting that Wike was determined to protect his people, questioned the whereabouts of President Muhammadu Buhari.

While Fani Kayode in a tweet said  he was utterly amazed by Wike’s action not to close down the hotels and arrest the culprits but instead he KNOCKED them both down? “I am utterly amazed!”

Meanwhile the Former President of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Chief Onueze Okocha (SAN) has defended the actions of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, including his recent demolition of two hotels in the state, saying the governor acted appropriately.
Okocha advised persons uncomfortable with the Executive Orders which the governor relied on to pull down the two hotels, to approach the courts.

Speaking in Port Harcourt, Okocha lauded the steps taken by the governor to fight coronavirus insisting they were designed to check the spread of the ,,,,

Now a governor gave an order for close of hotels, bar and stores with consequences of demolition of such buildings incase of defaults. It was a simple and well stipulated order that was consciously disobeyed, tempting and provocating the governor to action. A clear act of insubordination and indiscipline, if I should say.

Nyesom Wike has been the trend for some couple of weeks now for his stringent measure put in place in Rivers state to curtail the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state.

Before you rain those abuses on the Executive Governor I will love you to understand some certain things- Who is a leader, who obeys a leader and why must a leader be obeyed.

What is an Executive Order?

An Executive is an order that comes from the a government and must be obeyed like a law, an order issued by a government's executive on the basis of authority specifically granted to the executive branch.

This use of executive orders is very necessary in the context of regulatory contradiction and uncertainty in Nigeria.

Executive Orders are to be respected just like the law of the land, Executive orders don't last long it just for a mean time.

The Constitution of Nigeria under Presidential System of Government stipulates this very elaborately. This is not the first time that Nigeria is witnessing an Executive Order under Democracy.

The Governor only intervened using an executive order that is his constitutional right as the Chief Security Officer of the State.

The Rivers State Police has paraded a Five man gang that killed three University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) students.

The Police presented them to the media on Wednesday.

President Muhammad Buhari had in his reaction ordered the prosecution of the suspects.

The decomposing bodies of three students, one female, and two males, were recovered in a forest in Ete-O community in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The incident occurred in February but the disappearance was reported in April when the Anti-Cultism Unit began an investigation.

One of the suspects, Friday Akpan, who led officers to the grave, gave the victims names as Joy Adoki, Nelson Nwafor and Fortune Obinna

Friday disclosed that he and his gang acted on the orders of a certain man, Bright.

One AK 47 rifle, one pistol, three magazines, seventy-two rounds of live ammunition were among the weapons recovered from the suspects.

As measures to curtail the Spread of Coronavirus amidst the easing to the Lock Down the Federal Government has put up Guidelines and rules citizen must adhere to.

The rules, effective Monday, May 4, were issued by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.

Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, said implementation of the new measures would curtail the spread pandemic.

Mustapha, the PTF chairman, noted that the level of compliance will be reviewed in two weeks “before additional guidelines for phase”.

The guidelines are as follows:

1. “Mandatory use of non-medical face mask/covering for all persons while in public spaces; Latex hand gloves should not be worn except for specific medical purposes; Mandatory provision of handwashing facilities/sanitizers in all public places.

2. “All interstate travel is prohibited except for essential travels & services, such as: transportation of agricultural products, petroleum products, relief items, goods, commodities related to the COVID-19 response and persons on essential duty; Mass gathering of more than 20 people outside of a workplace is prohibited.
3. “There will be controlled access to markets and locations of economic activities; Mandatory temperature checks will be conducted in public spaces; Social distancing of 2 metres must be maintained between people in workplaces and other public spaces; Retention of the ban on all passenger flights; Religious gatherings are still restricted.
4. “Mandatory supervised isolation of person(s) arriving from outside the country for at least 14 days; Anyone who presents a temperature of above 380C will be mandated to return home and call NCDC for evaluation; Anyone without a face mask/covering will be asked to return home and will be prosecuted;
5. “Anyone violating the curfew in a non-emergency situation will be prosecuted; Anyone attending a gathering of more than 20 people will be prosecuted; Institutions that fail to comply with these protocols and guidelines will be prosecuted; and Any member of the public who violates the ban on Inter-State movement as outlined in this guideline will be prosecuted.
6. “Curfew Imposition of overnight curfew nationwide from 8pm to 6am; Nigerians may go out for work, to buy necessary foods and for exercise; Movement between LGAs (except metropolitan areas) is strongly discouraged unless for critical reasons such as healthcare and work; Avoid unnecessary contact with people; Mandatory use of face mask/coverings in public.
