Do ur car has a sun roof window? If yes, it's the sun roof window that is leaking. Some panel may request u to block the window parmanently. But we can get if resolve without blocking the window.

All of the cars u mention are OK as long as u have a good maintenance culture. Corolla is a good buy but the only factor is the environmental factor which is prone to buggle of the parts when packed in an open place. If u're scared of accord because of the ball joint then u settle for a civic which has better fuel economy than corolla and as well as same suspension system like corolla. But for the ball joint of accord that pull its due to our poor handling and bad part.

Corolla is a good car but only issue is that it's prone to vandals, the car is not safe anywhere u packed it. Honda civic is a good car as well. U're safe with it anytime and never bother of theft where ever u pack the car.

U can actually use the trips to set some parameters in ur vehicle such as to determine wat milage u need to do some things. Eg; When you do your oil service, u can reset either the trip a or b to 00000 by holding d reset botton down for like 3 seconds. By this u know wat milage u cover before the next service. U can also use it to get the distance from ur take off point to ur destination point etc.

The throttle body is refer to as injector mouth by the local Mech. Try service the injector nozzle as well. Replace the air filter and also check the fuel pump pressure and filter. Servicing all these parts will definitely resolve ur problem.

U need more than a regular oil service but a tune-up and some diagnosis.

Run to a wshop where a comprehensive diagnosis (computer diagnosis and physical inspection) can be run on ur car.

If d indomie (catalyst) is remove, u definitely consume more fuel as their is no back pressure within the exhaust system. U also need to run a scan on the car to check d fuel control sensors if they are still OK. Physical check of some parts on the engine should be well examine for leakages and exesive air intake into d system.

P0141 is either heater circuit is open or short or the heater of the O2 sensor is faulty.

Check the sensor heater if faulty then replace, if not faulty then trace fault on circuit.

The sensor is located on the exhaust manifold at the front of the engine.

P1131: Air fuel sensor heater circuit malfunction.

The two codes are pointing to one issue. So the above procedure should be adopted in resolving it.

P0161 is either heater circuit is open or short or the heater of the O2 sensor is faulty.

Check the sensor heater if faulty then replace, if not faulty then trace fault on circuit.

P400 is when u have exessive exhaust gas coming back into the combustion chamber as a result of blocked exhaust system or malfunction of the EGR system.

shawn5ng: My sienna goes off while driving. After diagnosis was told I need to buy crankshaft sensor, sensor heater control circuitp and oxygen sensor.
Anybody with this kind of issue b4, please share your experience and what you do to get it back to normal.

GAZZUZZ: Crank shaft position sensor is the culprit, check if the sockets of terminals are corroded, toyota crank sensors hardly fail. The other code is for your oxygen sensor but you did not specify what bank.

Yes you might be right, I hope proper diagnoses was done and not a guess diagnoses because d CKP sensor don't fail like that. For the other sensor it does not allow ur car to go off but it has to do more on ur fuel consumption.

You can post ur fault code so as to get more enlightenment in the house.

Just for u not to buy the sensors and find out you are still face with thesame problem.

What are your parameters that makes you to conclude that the car is consuming fuel?

If your assertion is right, kindly answer the below questions:
1. Has the fan been run direct?
2. Is the thermostat remove?
3. Is the CEL light ON?

If Q1 and Q2 is Yes then that is the beginning of your fuel consumption.

For Q3 you need to run a scan to further probe into the actual cause of your claim.

No, after I've driven some distance and the engine warms up to optimal temperature it doesn't start at such high rpm, usually after the engine heats up, the start up rpm is around 1200rpm and then drops immediately to 1000. The harsh rpm only occurs with cold start when engine temperature is at zero.

omicron: You should do a diagnostic scan then to diagnose the cause of the CEL being on.
It is still possible that the rev pattern is unconnected with the CEL being on, cos I know cars whose pattern of start up rev is that way without any problems.

Yes you need to run a scan on the car and also avoid guess work on it.

for 3 weeks now my car sometimes refuses to start, I dont know why cos I just serviced it a week and some days ago.
it hasnt happened in the morning but afternoon after driving for a while. I went somewhere last week, after spending about 15mins
I got into the car and wanted to go but it didnt start, it just kept giving a rolling sound. I tried severally yet no way. I called up the mechanic, he said it was fuel pump which I changed and it started working. 6 days after, I drove the car to a place and parked, by the time I wanted to start the car like 5mins after, it didnt start again. I tried for some minutes without success, then started calling my mechanic, by the time I finally got through to him, it was 2hours after and he said he was far away. So I decided to try again and it started, this was on Saturday and it's been working fine since then.
This has happened like 3 time in the last 2 weeks, pls doesnt any one know what could be wrong with the car.
Please note that it is not battery as the battery is working perfectly

Am sure you have one if this light on your instrument cluster.

Why allow guess work on your car?

I hope you keep the replaced fuel pump and stop the further guess work on your car and go for a diagnosis of the system so as to know the actual cause of the malfunction.
