Evidence of a rise of birth defects in Brazil has health experts concerned the virus is far more dangerous than people initially realized.

Dr. Lyle Petersen, head of vector-borne diseases for the CDC, told ABC News that evidence in Brazil points to a connection between Zika virus infection in pregnant women and miscarriage or birth defects of in an infant's head.

Children of women who had been infected with the virus have been born with a birth defect called microcephaly, where the baby is born with an abnormally small head and brain.

The CDC is sending two teams to Brazil to do lab training and to see if the virus can cause Guillain-Barre syndrome, a type of progressive paralysis that can appear after a viral infection, Petersen told ABC News on Thursday. They're also going to assess risk factors for developing microcephaly and see if they can determine when a fetus is most at risk for developing microcephaly.

Early analysis of these birth defects indicates that women who are infected during their first trimester could be at greater risk for giving birth to an infant with microcephaly or other birth defects, according to the Pan American Health Organization.

An unlikely animal friendship that inspired the world has tragically come to an end.

The long companionship between a Siberian tiger named Amur and a goat named Timur dissolved in a fight Jan. 29.

Their friendship began when the goat was placed in the tiger’s habitat as part of its twice weekly live animal feedings. The goat surprised onlookers by not only refusing to be eaten, but actually kicking the the tiger out of its bedding area.

The animals appeared to develop a “friendship” — living in peace with one another and even being observed playing with a soccer ball together. The goat began to suffer from obesity due to the beneficial relationship.


Unfortunately, the relationship came to an end when Amur the tiger lashed out at the goat after what officials refer to as “weeks” of bullying. Apparently, The goat had been jumping on the tiger, poking it with its horns and attempting to push it. According to The Siberian Times the large cat grabbed the goat by the scruff of its neck and shook it “like a kitten.”

Officials quickly entered the habitat, distracting the tiger in order to remove the goat and give him emergency veterinary treatment.

Dear OP, it is indeed great that you are taking appropriate measures to ensure that you succeed in the forth coming JAMB examinations. I have a few additions and possibly a correction to make concerning your study strategy.
First and foremost, permit me to start with the correction. You don't need to become a working encyclopedia before you would be able to sit and pass your JAMB exams. I would advice you to apply the 80/20 Principle for your JAMB exams which in all essence advises us strongly to plan before action.

OP, prepare a time table first of all.
Ensure that the time table focuses on the two JAMB subjects you enjoy the most that is to say, allot a lot of time to these subjects about 65%-70% of the time and the remainder to the other 2 subjects that are less interesting to you. This way, you would be able to get a minimum of
70 + 70 + 45 + 45 = 230.

THE RULE IS: FOCUS ON YOUR STRENGTH AND NOT BE OBSESSED OVER YOUR WEAKNESS
