Foreign Affairs / Re: Chinese Police To Muslims: Hand In All Your Qurans Or Face Harsh Punishment by auwalyau: 3:45pm On Sep 29, 2017
Too late!!! Qur'an is learnt and memorized at heart, even by 7 - 10 year olds. If they like collect all the Qur'ans in this world it is in memory. No other religious book has this feat. Unless, all muslims are killed there is no way to wipe it and that would not happen. This can only make others know that islam is the true religion.

Islam for Muslims / Re: I think i am losing my faith to Atheism, i need guidance urgently. by auwalyau: 11:48am On Sep 22, 2017
Praise be to Allaah.
My brother, have great hope in Allah, and do not let the Shaytan cause you to despair of the vast mercy of Allah which He has guaranteed for His believing slaves. What you are telling yourself about this being a sign that you will die following something other than that which Allah wants is only insinuating whispers (waswaas) from the Shaytan and his deviant ideas by means of which he wants to tempt the slaves of Allah and lead them away from their religion. So he comes to a righteous slave and whispers to him that his good deeds are of no avail, or that he is doing them not for the sake of Allah but to show off to people, so that they will think he is good. All of these are the usual ways with which the Shaytan tries to trick the slaves of Allah, especially those who show signs of being righteous – of whom I think that you are one, although I do not praise anyone before Allah – to hinder their efforts. We seek refuge with Allah from him.

You need to increase your hope and trust in Allah Who forgives all sins, and who accepts the slave who seeks His protection and refuge, for He is the Most Merciful, the Oft-Forgiving and the Most Loving.

You should increase your good deeds, such as reading Qur’an, giving charity, remembering Allah (dhikr), upholding the ties of kinship, etc. The weakness which you feel also happens to others, for it is something natural. How many people were examples followed by others and had a great deal of drive and ambition, then they lost their drive and ambition for a long time, then it came back to them by the grace of Allah. Remember the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “Everybody has his time of energy, and every time of energy is followed by a time of lethargy. But if a person tries to follow a moderate path, then I have hope for him, but if he becomes one who is pointed out (in the street), then do not think anything of him.”

(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2453; classed as hasan (sound) by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 1995).

What is meant by “Everybody has his time of energy” is eagerness for a thing, energy and the desire to do good.

What is meant by “every time of energy is followed by a time of lethargy” is tiredness, weakness and lack of movement.

“But if a person tries to follow a moderate path” means that the one who has energy does his deeds in moderation and avoids going to extremes when he is feeling energetic and avoids being negligent when he is feeling lethargic.

“Then I have hope for him” means, I have hope that he will be successful, for he can continue following a middle course, and the most beloved deeds to Allaah are those which are continuous.

“but if he becomes one who is pointed out (in the street)” means, if he strives hard and goes to extremes in doing good deeds so that he will become famous for his worship and asceticism, and he becomes famous and people point him out to one another,

“then do not think anything of him” means, do not think that he is one of the righteous, because he is showing off. He did not say, “do not have hope for him,” as an indication that he has already fallen, and he will not be able to make up for what he has missed out on.

[From Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi]

Think about this hadeeth, and relate it to your own situation and the situation of others: you will see a clear similarity. This hadeeth clearly states that man goes through a stage of incomparable eagerness and great focus and ambition, then suddenly he becomes weak and loses that focus and eagerness and ambition. When he reaches this stage, he must strive even harder to do obligatory duties and avoid haraam (impermissible) things. If he does that, then there is the hope that he will succeed and progress, but if he falls into haraam things and stops doing obligatory things, he will be lost and doomed.

So you must turn to Allah a great deal, seek His forgiveness and ask Him to make you steadfast until death. I also advise you to keep away from haraam things. May Allah forgive your sins and make things easier for you. Let me conclude with this verse ""Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah, then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account (Ali-Imran - Qur'an chapter 3:1).

It appears some people have difficulty in understanding English. This is from the write up The minister said even travels with Business Class tickets remained strictly restricted to only ministers, permanent secretaries, chairmen of Federal Government committees as well as chairmen and chief executives of parastatals and agencies.

Hamid Ali falls in this category he the chief executive of an agency, so flying business class is no big deal.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Is My Ramadan Fast Acceptable? by auwalyau: 4:58pm On Jun 20, 2016
What breaks a fast are either eating, drinking or sexual intercourse. Telling lies also makes fasting ineffective, as the Prophet (peace and belssing be upon him) "Whoever does not give up false statements (i.e. telling lies), and ... words to others, Allah is not in need of his (fasting) leaving his food and drink. Looking at unclad women or men does not break the fast in itself but this will tremendously reduce the reward of your fast. As the reward of fasting vary from person to person based on acts of worship performed. Somebody that spent the whole day reciting Qur'an, praying, praising Allah, sending blessings to the prophet (S.A.W), giving charity cannot be compared with somebody that spent the day backbiting, gazing at women, listening to music etc in terms of reward. While the first persons fasting will be rewarded without measure, the second may just have fulfilled the commandment of fasting without reward and Allah Will not hold him accountable for not fasting the day or the month as the case may be, but no much reward. My advice to the brothers both father and son are as such: to the son try to stop work that relate to looking at nude clients whether male or female. Remember whoever is conscious of Allah, He is enough for him and Allah Will open other doors for him. The father can also limit work that entail looking at nude women and men especially in Ramadan unless it is a necessary live saving operation or so.
Religion / Re: Antichrist Compares Jesus With Pharaoh On Facebook: Users Come For Him by auwalyau: 12:15pm On Jun 09, 2016
Jesus, Abraham, Jacob, Noah peace be upon them all and Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) , etc all existed. The body of the Egyptian pharoah that was kept in-tact was preserved to serve as a reminder to later generations as quoted in the noble Qur'an in Surah A'araf detailing the story of Moses and Pharaoah. The relevant verse 92 Sura Yunus (Jonah) ''So this day We shall deliver your (dead) body (out from the sea) that you may be a sign to those who come after you! And verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs , revelations, etc.)''. If you want the more details read verses 83 - 92 of the same surah Yunus (Jonah).

Islam for Muslims / Re: When Praying Jumat Is No Longer Possible by auwalyau: 11:28am On May 13, 2016
Wa alaikumus salam brother. In situations like this, see if you can travel to the nearest town with a Juma'a mosque; only if that not possible you can stay where you are and be praying Zuhr prayer (4 Raka'ats instead of the 2 Raka'ats of Juma'a prayer). To motivate you a bit, I did my NYSC at Amozalla Affa in Udi LGA Enugu State back in 1998; and every friday either travel to 9th Mile or even Enugu 82 Div barracks mosque for my Juma'a prayers. Surah Talaq Q65 v 4 '' and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy''

Politics / Re: Exxon Begins Production At 65000BPD Offshore Nigerian Field by auwalyau: 2:45pm On Sep 17, 2015
The Nigerian Govt through the NNPC, has different contract arrangements with the oil and gas companies; either by JV arrangement, Production sharing contract (PSC) or Service contract. Exxon's Erha is on PSC, that is why you don't see NNPC as holding shares. Under PSC, the state is entitled to royalty as a first call on production; development costs may then be recovered by the contractor,
any PPT liability is then settled to the state and any remaining oil is shared between NNPC (for the government) and the contractor under percentages set out in the PSC.
