You are right boss. Many homes and businesses have adopted several energy backup installations, like use of only inverters with batteries.

However, your last statement above may not reflect reality. At the moment in Abuja, solar panel installations is on fewer than 40% of the roof tops. This means that, more than 60% of the roof tops have no single panel. Anyone can observe this using google earth or any app for satellite imagery.

Agreed, across the entire FCT not just within Abuja municipal, there's a growing migration to solar energy. However, (as at August, 2024) stating that "almost every roof in Abuja has panels on them" is a fallacy; as more than 60% of the roofs here don't have solar panels on them.

Read what this young man wrote up there. Although it sounds a bit harsh, nevertheless this narrative gradually resonates in the minds of other Nigerians who are neither of these tribes.

• Why do you think a Bola Tinubu could not get as little as 25% of votes across FCT in 2023. Even, the villa he currently occupies, he couldn't win at the polling unit there. They simply manipulated some election results from other parts of the country, thanks to selfish people like Wike of Rivers, Ortom of Benue, Sule of Nasarawa, even Sanwo-Olu of Lagos were he came second, etc.
He simply can't deceive the enlightened people in FCT, as majority don't vote individuals based on ethnic, tribal, or religious sentiments.
The FCT-Abuja residents are just too woke for any chalatant to manipulate with campaign shenanigans.

Once another elections year comes again, some parts of Nigeria become senseless, and get easily deceived by politicians to mortgage their future yet again.

For any 24V system, an AGM battery irrespective of the amp hour, at 25.9V your battery (if it's on a load and not connected to any charging source) is doing well above 98% *this is me trying to be modest*.
It is actually at 100%, if it is at 25.9V, and if it is not being charged at that point in time, so relax.

Nonetheless, work towards buying and hooking up your batteries with quality solar panels (I do recommend you oversize your PV array around 20-30% extra, so long its voltage is adequately below the maximum Voc of your charger) to keep your battery bank often in good shape, for a longer life.

So, do not fret, just enjoy your set up.
You are on a right path.

Finally did the test today with "CLAMP METER DT3266F"
Surge: 16.64amp * 230v = 3,827.2w
Continues draw: 8.2amp * 230 = 1,886w

The reduction in consumption is as a result of stronger/better wire used (2.5mm² Comester)

Below is the initial test done in Q1 of this year.
Max Surge = 19amp * 230v = 4,370w
Continues draw = 11amp * 230v = 2,530w

This is a bit confusing for me.

Electric wires have a resistance per foot; the smaller the wire, the greater the resistance. When an electric current flows through a wire with less resistance, the greater the current flow in proportion to the voltage, according to Ohm's law.

The larger diameter of the bigger wire should offer more area for electrons to move through the circuit easier than smaller wires, hence greater current.

In view of the above, is your increase in wire size to a larger 2.5mm², not supposed to result to an increase in current flow?
Rather, yours decreased by 2.8amps (i.e from 11amp to 8.2amp on normal draw).

Just my thoughts though.

You've just hit the nail on the head @ Fegeitok. With a reasonable PV oversizing you are covered, so long as you remain under your charger's max Voc.
Also, a larger battery bank helps make up for bad weather. Some people even maintain two separate arrays and banks, and just switch between them at different times of the day.
Decently oversized PV arrays alongside a good MPPT charger, require minimal daylight (not even 🌞 sunlight), to go from bulk to floating, even with some loads on a rainy day.
In summary, your PV and battery capacities can keep you "dry" even on a rainy day.
