So this is what my darling club has been reduced to?

No possession. No tactics. No plan. No club fears us anymore. We are like a sick lion being teased by Vultures and small animals. How did this happen?

That policy is a good one but at a wrong time and point in our educational system.

Instead of trumping a child's progress at secondary school with such policy.; why not make a policy that admission into higher institutions should be from age 18 upwards. And enforce that.

In Ogun state for example. most primary schools use the schedule and scheme of the next class to teach e.g. pupils in pry. 1 being taught with pry 2 schedule. As such, pry 4 & 5 pupils sit and pass the common entrance to.secondary schools.

If a child is able to pass WAEC etc at 16 or 17 years with good grades, good. He or she can use the one or two years to acquire vocational skills. Moreover, some retake these exams two to three times in a roll.

My point is: Peg admission into higher institutions to begin at 18years and above. Leave the secondary level as it is.

This issue is decided by votes. And like any election popularity takes centre stage. We all know the world's best player if judge by what we see on the pitch.

And the trolls are sneaking in and trying to derail the thread again with the same over flogged, over debated arguments about M10 and CR7.

Cules, try to ignore them. This issue is stale and has lost its appeal. Let's move on to other more relevant matters abeg.

Watching this bout on supersport last night was just embarrassing. Peter was a shadow of himself, swinging wildly but constantly missing an elusive opponent .
What drew me to watch the bout was the fact that Peter was on the card because I thought he retired eons ago. It appears the Saudis lured him out of retirement with petrol dollars.
It was sad watching a former world heavyweight champion like Peter embarrassing himself by fighting a guy that would never have laced his boots in his prime. It was while taking a wild swing that missed its target that he dislocated his shoulder. It was hard watching that bout and sad.

Bros you took everything from my mouth. I thought I was the only one who saw that shambolic display from Peter.

He was terribly out of form, was swinging widely, got points deducted from him for punching below the belt. There was even a point he punched Fury on the blokos.

He was slow, tired and frustrated from the first round. Why he agreed to that fight in the first place surprise me. There are still doubts about his injury sef.

My opinions:
1. Trolls should learn from this to know exactly what being the best player of a tournament means. It should not be mixed up with golden boot which goes to highest goal scorer. Being the best has nothing to do with goals at all.

2. To cules, is it a bad idea if barca could snap up Dani Alves again to be a back up to semedo since he is a free agent from PSG and still good. I know we have a Roberto but he could do more midfield, just saying o.

Noted that the above are just my opinion and not a general conception.

Why are you guys bothered sef? The last time I brought this up, some cules shouted me down that the club is okay as it is, they said no transfer is necessary and that Barca have a good squad as it is.

And looking at the body language of the Coach and the Board, it seems those cules share same opinions as the club. Me, I don rest my case o.

The committee is not going to produce any positive result because by now the lady in question would have been threatened with death or bribed to keep quiet.

The committee will even be the ones to tell the lady to keep quiet forever on the issue. Or has any one heard from the lady assaulted? Has the lady come forward? Has she sued him to court for the assault?

Cules, this argument about Messi and CR7 will drag forever, you can never change these trolls opinion, you can never win them in argument because once you debunk them on one issue, they shift the post to another.

Best option is Silence. once you answer them, they become glad. But if you ignore them, they sulk around and move to another thread.

As far as I'm concerned the yardstick of claiming the G.O.A.T. honour is not about what your team achieved, if it is then players like Pepe, Ramos, Xavi, De lima et all should also lay claims, but it is about the individual player and how influential he is to the football world.

You wish to know how influential Messi is? Simple, He is the only player that has been compared to both the past and the present greats in football.

This is about being the best player, not about how many clubs you play for, not about jumping from leagues to leagues, not even about goals, not about trophies, its about being the best football player. The best could be a defender or a goalkeeper, does it matter?

This question or remark is one if the reasons Nigeria continues to lag behind in development even in this 21st century. In all fairness, we have one of the best squads in Europe but have the dummiest coach ever. With the signings made, we still have a better squad than Madrid. If we get A. Griezman which is looking likely, and get DeLgit, then we dont need any other signing. We should only get rid of lightweights in the team and balance the wage book. We can bring back M. Cucurella to compete with J. Alba and thats all.

As good and soothing as your opinion is, you included some "ifs". It all goes back to the dummy coach and unserious board. The Griezman, De ligt and Cucurella you mentioned may slip through our fingers.

I only use Madrid as an example in that context, it is you that is comparing them.

Moreover, we waited all through the transfer window last season without getting an alternative to Suarez, even sold the two backup strikers we had. What did that cost us? almost everything.

We the fans caused it. Some of us cules like giving trolls undeserved attention even when their trolling sounds stupid and idiotic.

We tend to think it makes the thread fun at the expense of club news, tactics, transfers, schedule of clubs matches, season's goals and objectives, constructive criticism of our own players and coaches etc

Many cules are in "Ghost mode" because they are tired of these senseless and repeated arguments that does not change anything nor profit the club or the fans anyways.

I hope that we will be able to enjoy being a fan of this great club when this Messi/Ronaldo rivalry is finally put to bed whenever they both retire from football.

At this point, if Netherlands goes ahead and win the Nations league trophy and Messi misses out on the Copa America, Van Dirk may win it despite not doing anything special compare to De jong in the matches.

If Portugal wins and Ronaldo scores, then CR7 jumps into the fray again.

The only thing that can help Messi stand out from this group is winning the copa.

I was never pro Valverde. I never liked him for his disorganized gameplay. He can't get his players to perform at their peak, the ones doing doing well were established players left hehind by Enrique. The players signed under him haven't really justified their price.
I know you are hoping that Barca will do better next season, but reality has not given us any sign to sugest there will be improvements, and If I'm to pick between hope and reality, I will chose reality.
Let's wait for next season.
