I like the optimistic approach you guys are having towards barca. However, it wouldn't end well if we set our eyes on unattainable targets and expectations this season based on what we have on ground.

Barca's case was just like the #Endsars Nigerian issue, the message of bringing drastic change has been lost while still in transit. We were all calling for a change to how things were done, Messi led that call for change but instead of getting the message, he was termed ,"Traitor", "Betrayer" and as such the distraction took hold.

Of all those changes we all spotted and clamoured for then, how many has been effected? The new coach has done nothing differently from our last two coaches in my opinion.

In a nutshell, my point is that we shouldn't be expecting miracles from this present setup, they will try their best but even that might not be enough to give us the UCL, La liga or Copa del rey, but I know they will gel as the season goes on, my prayer is that we don't get pushed out of the top four at the end of the season because teams like Getafe, Atletico etc are not smiling ooo.

The post praised Messi for having more League goals than Ronaldo, a player who is more goal focused according to the post (438 - 311) but it wasn't stated anywhere that Messi has been playing in La liga before Ronaldo and Ronaldo left Laliga in 2018 and this is just one, there are others.

Thanks bros for the response, though I would have let Tespidd counter the point you raised, however let me reiterate that the write-up was on Messi's stats, and not on comparison between CR7 and Messi.

Furthermore, if you look further down the piece, you'll find out that he (Tespidd) brought Messi"s stats against others in Europe, where CR7's before (Man u.), La liga (Madrid) and after (Juve) were considered.

If Messi had left the club in June, what difference would it make, we would still have lost the la liga, we would still have been booted out of the UCL (maybe Napoli), so same same.

Why would a sensible board allow a clause that releases its best player to walk out for free at the end of every season in his contract in the first place. Means he could have even walked out on us all this while. Dumbest board ever.

Messi leaving is very difficult to swallow for me as a fan of the club but I see the sense in his decision. However, the way the board is handling this issue is very very shameful and insulting all round.

I'm forced to agree with you. I think he is too quiet or too introverted to lead the team vocally, he only depends on leading by example, but most times that is not enough.
