one upcoming artist that was talking to me on whatsapp

told me i charge too much just to write a song for him,he claims he can write better songs (though he hasnt ever heard my song before,clear sign of overprone pride)

this pride issue is annoying,i gave 2 free songs that night to people who claimed they dont have funds and will contact me when they do ,and if he had being honest and told me he didnt have 5k,i will have considered given him a free song,well i urge all you artists to check your pride because you dont really know who you are forming to..thats fact..i am a big deal,he just didnt know that..meanwhile read my signature abeg..accnt getting dry.

How to write better lyrics in your songs

its not news that the lyrics in nigerian songs are getting worse by the day,we listen to a lot of songs all day,everyday and it seems to be the same old thing

"shake am,whine am,dj on the beat,pop hennesy"

such stuff is extremely annoying,sure everyone likes a dance song but no one likes to listen to the same kind of song over and over again by differnt people,we are nigerians,we like unique diverse things

so am here to share 4 easy steps to write better lyrics in your song

1.inspiration-dont go out searching for inspiration from rash means such as hard drugs,inspiration comes on its own and you should let it flow easy,because if you think smoking weed all the time will give you better inspiration then expect to write songs like wizkids "in my bed" (crap wacky songs).

2.focus-now that you are inspired on what you wanna write about,keep focus on that song subject and compose around it,dont jump to another topic unneccesarily like its two songs in one,if its a love song,sing bout love,dont start praising politicians

3.be unique- be unique with your lyrics fella,you cant be like the guy next door,enough with the shake body lyrics already,a lot of artists have proven that you dont need to use strong language in your songs to get the crowd attention,some of those wonderful artists-praiz,dare art alade,simi,blackmagic,adekunle gold..its all about being you,being true to yourself,its not all about what you think the public wants,it also depends on what you know the public has heard before and doesnt really wanna hear again.

4.express passion in every word-this is like the hardest part of this few steps because,when it comes to being passionate about something,it takes a lot of nerve,so try your very best to express passion in your words,by passion i mean you should dig deep inside yourself,because thats where the real music comes from,if you are not passionate about the words in your song,you end up with just another "shake bum bum" song #fact

now you have the outright knowledge to write better lyrics

many Hit songs abound that were not written by the artist who sang them.Many songs by artist are written for them by other artists or songwriters Here is The top 5 songs where the writer are known to have written hit songs for other artist.

1) Gobe- Davido's Gobe was Written and composed by Password as later claimed by Davido himself,.The two in conjunction with Shizzi did The Song together.Davido was said to have paid 500k for the song.

2) Limpopo- Harrysong Who now charges 1.5m for Writing Songs wrote the Smash hit Limpopo for Kcee.The Song became a Smash hit.He wrote two other songs off d Take over album which will be revealed in the next article.

3) Dont Touch my Body - Remimisce stated that he wrote Goldie Smash hit " Dont touch my body" but was not credited ..The rapper claimed he has written many other songs for people but will not reveal.

4) Fire on The Mountain- Cobhams wrote the song Fire on the Mountain off Asa Highly acclaimed album titled Asa.He also co wrote Mr Jailer and produced every single track on the album.

5) Mercy- Praiz first Quite commercial Single ,Mercy was Written By Password.He was even credited as Songwriter in the Press Release.
