The Kano State Police Command has arrested a syndicate of Metropolitan kidnappers that specializes in kidnapping children in Kano city.

The Command's spokesperson DSP Magaji Musa Majia, who made the disclosure on Thursday, November 16, said the suspects would take the children toplaces like Gwarzo, Danbatta, Gezawa, to deliver them to Ward/Village Head houses as missing and found children.

They would then negotiate the ransom with the parents of the victim by demanding recharge cards. Seven children aged between 4-5yrs were rescued from them.

The suspects are:
(1) Khalifa Usman a.k.a Gurgu of Layin Pole, Kurna Qtrs
(2) Idris Aminu of Lokon Sheshe Qtrs Kano
(3) Abdullahi Aminu a.k.a Sharu of Sharifai Qtrs, Kano.
They collected recharge cards worth hundreds thousands of naira from the parents of their victims.

A HARARE woman suspects that her husband is gay since he was jailed for years and came back having lost interest in sex.

Chido opened up at the Harare Civil Court seeking for a protection order against her husband Innocent.
Chido said: “Your Worship, I am applying for a protection order against my husband because he abuses and assaults me in front of the children.

“He reveals my status to people and he is a drug addict to the extent that whenever he is high, he starts to assault me.
“He does not have a healthy relationship with the kids because he does not sleep at home,”
Chido said she suspect that Innocent is gay since he doesn’t sleep in the same room with her.

“He comes home nezvigunduru zvake vakadhakwa nebronco and he gives them a room to sleep and sometimes he does not sleep with me.
“He rather sleeps in the same room nezvigunduru zvake and that is why I suspect he is a gay.”

In response, Innocent denied the allegations saying his wife is the one who is alcoholic.
“She is an alcoholic to the extent that she comes home late around 10pm when the children have already slept hungry.
“She also insults me that I am a gay and also that my mother is a witch.

“Another issue we are having is that when I leave money so she could buy groceries, she buys alcohol,” he said.
Magistrate Larzin Ncube granted the protection order in Chido’s favour.

Three Ohio pastors are facing life imprisonment for sex trafficking underage girls.

The Rev. Cordell Jenkins, 47, the Rev. Anthony Haynes, 38, and the Rev. Kenneth Butler, 37, were named in an 11-count superseding indictment handed up Tuesday by a federal grand jury charging them with conspiracy to sex traffic children. All three of them pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Michael Freeman, an assistant U.S. Attorney, told the court that if the men are convicted, prosecutors would recommend sentences of life in prison.

“These three men violated the trust of these children and the communities they purported to serve,” U.S. Attorney Justin E. Herdman said in a news release. “We are grateful for the courage of the victims and the dedication of our law enforcement personnel in bringing these men to justice.”

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, a girl who was just 14 when the conspiracy began in 2014 was sexually assaulted by all three men. Some of the sex acts are believed to have taken place at Greater Life Christian Center where Mr. Haynes was pastor.

Between 2014 and 2017, Mr. Haynes groomed and exploited the girl, used his cell phone to record the sexual assaults, routinely gave her money afterward, and told her not to tell anyone because it could ruin his family and his church, prosecutors say.

Mr. Haynes also is accused of introducing the teen to other men, including Mr. Jenkins, for sexual activity and for sharing pornographic photographs and videos.

Prosecutors allege that between December 2016, and March 2017, Mr. Jenkins sexually exploited the girl at his West Toledo home on Barrington Drive, at his office at Abundant Life Ministries where he was the pastor, and at a motel in Toledo. Prosecutors said he paid her for sex usually between $100 and $300 referring to the payment as “hush money.” Like Mr. Haynes, he’s accused of recording some of the interactions with his cell phone.

Mr. Jenkins is accused of paying for sex acts with a second underage girl in March.

Mr. Butler is charged with trafficking a third underage girl between 2015 and March, 2017. According to court documents, the girl told investigators she met Mr. Butler at Mr. Haynes' church when she was 15 and he would give her rides to his church in the Detroit area.

The girl said she had sex with Mr. Butler in his car twice and he gave her money once. He later reportedly told her to lie to the FBI if she was questioned about him.

Both Mr. Haynes and Mr. Butler are charged with obstruction of a sex trafficking investigation Mr. Haynes for allegedly trying to destroy electronic evidence of sex trafficking and Mr. Butler for instructing another person to lie and lying himself to law enforcement about his involvement.

At their arraignment Tuesday, U.S. District Court Judge Jack Zouhary asked each of the men to tell him a little bit about their educational and work backgrounds.

Mr. Haynes described himself as “a former pastor,” while Mr. Jenkins said he had “pastored full time” for the past 23 years.

Mr. Butler, pastor of Kingdom Encounter Family Worship Center, did not mention serving as a pastor but said he had worked in a variety of security jobs, most recently as a security guard for Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, Mercy Health St. Anne Hospital, and Mercy Health St. Charles Hospital.

In addition to the conspiracy charge, Mr. Butler who was not named in the original indictment filed in April against Mr. Jenkins and Mr. Haynes was indicted on two counts of sex trafficking of children and one count of obstruction of a sex trafficking investigation.

Judge Zouhary scheduled a Jan. 8 status hearing for all three co-defendants, who are to remain in custody.

Ojukwu jnr defected to APC in Awka, at the grand finale campaign of the APC candidate for the Anambra 2017 governorship election, Dr Tony Nwoye, today November 15th.

President Buhari, APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, 12 APC governors, National Assembly members in the party, were among the party members that received him.

Ojukwu jnr who was dressed in an APC attire, said “It is time to leave the shadows for light. Every now and then, they come out with my father’s shadow to confuse the people,” he said.

Ibrahim Idris, the Inspector-General of Police, has said that there is no law that prevents him from marrying a serving female police officer.

He challenged the lawmaker representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, Senator Isa Misau, who accused him of having an affair with a junior female colleague, to prove him otherwise.

According to Punchng, Idris stated this in a written defence he presented through his lawyer, Dr. Alex Iziyon (SAN), to the Senate ad-hoc committee investigating the allegations against him by the senator.

He specifically asked the senator to cite a section of the law that prevents him from having romantic relationship with a policewoman. The police boss recalled that Misau’s father married the lawmaker’s mother while in service.

On the allegation that Idris was having affairs with two female officers who also got questionable promotions as a result, Iziyon said, “This allegation is laughable and showed lack of understanding of the provisions of the Police Act and regulation.”

He said, “Until he brings such section of the Police Act, it will amount to discussing the Inspector-General of Police’s private life, which ordinarily should not have been entertained on the floor of the Senate.

It might be appropriate to remind the senator, whose mother retired from the police as an Inspector of Police and a father who retired from the police as an Assistant Inspector-General of Police, that the Inspector-General of Police is a Moslem and, according to Islamic Law, can marry four wives provided he can love them equally."
