A Chinese sex doll maker is working to create the world’s first truly ‘smart’ companion that can talk, play music, and even turn on your dishwasher. Exdoll, located in the port city of Dalian, currently makes around 400 custom robots per month, with the most popular being the basic model which costs $400.

It’s current smart model, called Xiaodie, retails for $4,000 and comes equipped with a Siri-like device which allows it to speak, browse the internet, and use smart appliances connected to WiFi.

They eventually plan to make the robots so advanced they could be used to cure loneliness in the elderly and care for the handicapped.

The dolls could even be repurposed to work as medical assistants and receptionists, the manufacturer says.

When AFP visited the factory their reporter was greeted by a programmer in a lab coat who asked a petite blonde prototype sitting on a chair and dressed in a see-through white blouse: ‘What is your name?’

‘My name is Xiaodie but you can also call me baby. But if I’m not happy I won’t answer,’ the robotic voice says through a speaker, though its lips do not move.

A young woman Celine Dookhran, 20, was raped and murdered by her “obsessed” uncle before her body was padlocked in a deep freezer, a court heard.

Dookhran was kidnapped along with a second woman by her Uncle, Mujahid Arshid, 33, and his employee Vincent Tappu, 28, who took them to a six-bedroom house that Arshid, a builder, had been working at, the Old Bailey heard."

Both women were then raped and their throats cut in what prosecutors described as a “horrific crime” on July 19 last year.

Arshid considered dissolving the bodies of both ladies in acid or hiding them in a chest-high freezer he installed two days before, it was claimed.

The second woman managed to survive and raised the alarm from hospital, which lead to the discovery of Miss Dookhran’s body.

Opening the prosecution case, Crispin Aylett QC warned jurors: “The evidence that gives rise to those charges is, I am afraid, simply horrific. You will have to steel yourselves for what is to come.”

Mr Aylett said Arshid had become “obsessed” with Miss Dookhran but knew that she was having a sexual relationship with her boyfriend, a Libyan Muslim.

The following day, on July 19, Arshid and his accomplice Tappu burst into Miss Dookhran’s room, stuffed socks into both women’s mouths, which they also covered with tape. Tied up the women's hands and feet together and each of them was wrapped in a builder’s dust sheet.”

Arshid scooped up clothes, underwear and phones to give the “entirely false” impression Miss Dookhran had run away, it was claimed.

Mr Aylett said the women were taken from the house wrapped in dust sheets and put in the boot of the Arshid’s pick up truck. Tappu played no further part, jurors were told.
The court heard that Arshid had the set of keys to a six-bedroomed detached house between Wimbledon and Kingston where he had been working and took the women there, tying them to pipes in the utility room.

He allegedly took the second victim – who cannot be named for legal reasons – upstairs and raped her, before doing the same thing to his niece, Miss Dookhran.

Mr Aylett said:

“In the bathroom of that house, he cut Celine’s throat, most likely with the lock knife. “With her mouth still stuffed with a sock, Celine died from the combined effect of the restriction of her airwaves and the blood that she lost.”

The court heard Arshid then took the second woman, who is also in her 20s, upstairs and cut her throat, telling her she would be “dead within ten minutes”.

He put Celine’s body into the deep freezer and locked it with a padlock but the second woman survived and was later taken to hospital.

Based on the second woman's information, Arshid was arrested the same night in Folkestone, Kent, where he had fled to.

Arshid was charged with murder, attempted murder, two counts of kidnap, two counts of rape, two counts of conspiracy to falsely imprison another, possessing a firearm with intent – a Taser.

He however, denied all the charges which included one count of sexual assault, and one count of assault by penetration, involving the second woman between November 2008 and November 2010.

His accomplice, Tappu, of Acton, west London, denied two counts of kidnap, two counts of conspiracy to falsely imprison another, and one count of possessing a firearm with intent.

This is an increase of $100 million from his worth when the assessment was done by the influential magazine last year.

An American parenting group, Chocolate Milk Mommies, in Birmingham, Alabama, have taken part in a photoshoot, where they are all seen breastfeeding their children.

According to the group, they came together to encourage black women to proudly breastfeed their children in public, amidst negative stigma within the Black community.

Wednesday, the Libyan Higher National Commission of Elections announced the start of registration of voters for the 2018 elections.

Emad Al-Sayeh, chairman of the commission, at a joint news conference with UN Envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame said, “It was decided that voter registration inside the country will begin today and will last 60 days. for Libyans outside the country, registration begins on Feb. 1, 2018”.

According to Al-Sayeh, the commission and the UN Support Mission in Libya have signed an agreement on technical support and capacity building for the commission in its preparation for the upcoming elections.

“We appreciate all our international partners for their continued support to the Commission over the past six years. We welcome the signing of the elections support project with the UN,” the chairman noted.

For his part, Salame said the UN is willing to “provide all the needed technical, advisory and logistic support to the commission. We need legislative conditions in terms of election law as well as political conditions that all Libyans, public, communities and political parties, should accept the results of the elections" the UN envoy explained.

Following the 2011 uprising that toppled former leader Muammar Gaddafi’s regime, Libya has been struggling to make a democratic transition amid insecurity and political division. In September, Salame proposed a road map aimed at ending the political crisis in Libya. This, included amendment of the current UN-backed political agreement, holding a UN-sponsored national conference for all Libya’s political factions, adopting a constitution, and election of a president and a parliament.

A 45-year-old lesbian, Janet ofori, has revealed she has been able to convert more than 3,000 women and still counting to reach her target.

Ofori made the disclosure during a program on Adom TV.

She said after mastering the lesbian act in Senior High School, she has been able to satisfy lots of rich single women and that she could sleep with about 10 women in a day.

According to her, some of her clients are ministers in government and MPs including some radio presenters.

Most people go to Dubai for some sun, sea and relaxation but Anthony Joshua continued his busy schedule overseas by working out in a makeshift ring atop the Burj Al Arab on Wednesday.

The WBA and IBF heavyweight champion can be seen being put through his paces in the extraordinary images as he goes through typical drills on top of the luxurious hotel, which stands at 321 metres high.

Wearing white shorts, boots and gloves, Joshua looked in peak physical condition as he took to the iconic helipad of the hotel.

Scores of students were injured on Friday, as students of St. Charles High School and Ifeoluwa Government Middle School, which were both situated in Osogbo, the Osun State capital engaged in bloody clash.

DAILY POST authoritatively gathered that the students from both schools engaged one another over yet to be known issue.

The students were said to have freely used several dangerous weapons, which abruptly brought academic activities to a halt, as students and staff alike ran for cover.

An eye witness, Mr Sogo Adigun told our reporter that a little disagreement among students of the two schools might have been degenerated by an external influence.

He explained that the sophistication of weapons used by the students and the way the attacks were coordinated suggested that there were” external collaborators”.

“It has become a recurrence decimal for schools around this area to engage themselves in bloody fracas of this nature.

“You know, the government policy on single school uniform, where identification of students by schools have become practically impossible also worsened the situation.

“One can safely say that violent students from other schools within the metropolis involved in this crisis, with the degree of violence exhibited, but how can we prove that when all of them wore the same uniform”, he said.

Another source who spoke with our reporter said four students who sustained high degree of injuries have been taken to a private hospital for urgent attention.

He added that the rift among the students snowballed into full-blown crisis because of the porous security arrangement in the schools.

Some chieftains of political parties on Friday appealed to voters in Anambra to turn out en masse to vote for candidates of their choices in the Saturday’s governorship poll.

They told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in interviews in Lagos that voters who would fail to exercise their franchise should not complain of poor leadership.

Chief Charles Nwodo, the National Chairman of Progressive Action Council, advised the people to avoid apathy.

“We believe that the people of Anambra know that if they fail to come out to vote, they are creating chances for poor leadership.

“There is no alternative to democracy; we are appealing to IPOB to cooperate with the electoral body and allow the people to exercise their franchise,’’ Nwodo said.

He urged security agencies not to intimidate any voter, urging adding that they should ensure peace and order.

Chief Osita Okereke, the National Chairman of African Liberation Party, also urged voters to come out and exercise their franchise.

“Voters should be wise in their decision,’’ Okereke added.

Chief Perry Opara, Secretary-General of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), urged people of Anambra to come out en masse to vote as there would be enough security.

Mr Damian Ogbonna, the National Chairman of Peoples Progressive Party, advised miscreants to avoid being used to foment trouble.
