I know the Nollywood Ghosts are really getting people to LOL, but the one that really made me to ROTFL is Ghosts in Nollywood having shadows!!! The thing tire me.

I never tried or used any other CMS except Drupal. Organisation is top notch and the coding is fantastic. It has a very stable code base. I was impressed with it from the very beginning; thou the learning curve was steep; it helped introduced me to PHP in another dimension. All the sites i have done are currently been powered by Drupal.

Also the fastest PHP MVC Framework in town (i stand to be corrected) is Phalcon PHP. You can check it out @ http://phalconphp.com/en/

Mobile Apps development fascinates me and here's my little advice: since you're a PHP programmer, i would'nt know if you've done a little bit of OOP in PHP, if yes, then hurdle one passed or else you need a good understanding of OOP(except in some cases) if you want to delve into this unpopular(at least in Nigeria) but lucrative territory. Starting with the language of choice so as to avoid cross compatibility issues, JAVA; yes JAVA's J2ME MIDP platform runs on most devices(Nokia with it's Symbian OS, an array of 3rd party phone makers running the Android OS - like Samsung, LG, HTC & many more and finally Research in Motions Blackberry), except in the case of the iPhone's iOS operating system. I hated Java during my uni days, maybe becos everybody's singing about it likewise PHP, and funny enough it's not that i don't have experience with these, at least i have built drupal themes with PHP, i just don't go with the crowd and so i do Perl and Nokia's Symbian OS has made me learn Python. Back to what am driving at, you don't need to fully learn J2ME for you to program these devices, my backgroup of OOP C++ helped me and so the learning curve was not much. These devices run propietary Operating Systems and so they all have API's exposed for developers. Blackberry and Android OS use Java like syntax that closely looks like Java's J2ME and Nokia's devices are Java Enabled, and so you see Java covers a lot of ground. Since Java looks a lot like C++, getting to know OOP C++ will help you if you don't want to bother yourself at all learning Java, because you'll still meet a new syntax of Java when you work with the SDK's provided by these devices. The problem is iOS that runs on Apple's iPhone line of products, this OS publishes the Cocoa API that uses objective-C, you can Google that up for more information. But the Nokia Symbian OS, Series 60 to be exact has a Python port called pyS60, that allows native development of apps to be done using the Python Programming Language. It actually allows the python interpreter to be installed on devices running the Series 60 version of it's OS. The native development language used in programming Nokia devices running the symbian OS is C++, but you can also use OpenC. Maybe you Google most of these things and see what you can find. Now after you're through with language issues, you now download their SDK's from each of these devices developer sites. You'll need the eclipse IDE, blackberry has a Blackberry Plugin IDE suitable for it's platform only, Nokia uses the Carbide C++ or Qt IDE. These files are large, and takes time installing especially Android's SDK, and so you need a fast internet connection.

Is this meant to be funny? :@Lets be careful about prophesying negatively for this country; but coming to think of it, i read in yesterdays guardian about the gross mismanagement of subsidy funds - this was actually deliberated on the floor of the upper chambers of the national assembly, Olusola Saraki actually raised a motion to that effect, saying that 240Billion Naira was actually budgeted for the 2011 fiscal year in regards to fuel subsidy, but as we speak 1.3 Trillion Naira has so far been spent on fuel subsidy. I think government is just trying to put this mismanagement in check rather than have the refineries work, so the masses suffer the more. Their inability to turn around the deplorable state of the refineries led to importation of petroleum products and then fuel subsidy in the first place. Things might get worse when fuel subsidy is removed, but i quite disagree with most of the postulations so far stated. Comical they all seem, lets just make ourselves happy.

i think it is, i've been trying to call a destination glo line in jos, all to no avail. i had to call an alternative MTN line, and the other party in jos confirmed that glo is having problems down there too.

i can only say in terms of programming IT is harder, because at 30+ i have already started growing white beards,you think after writing a single file of perl module i.e an execution file that consists of 34,385 lines of coded instruction your life will remain the same, or the perl executable that is made up of 100,00 thousand or so of C Code, not to talk of the man hours put into it, if it fails you try again, and again, and again and so on , ,  damn stressful, you got to get results before the battery power shuts down and all that. Yes am talking from an IT perspective and you can term me biased if you like, i wouldn't know how medicine is stressful, but i think surgeons sweat it out, but to a greater extent they even rely on IT specialists when all their devices are embedded software programmed by programmers (using ASSEMBLY LANGUAGE or the C PROGRAMMING LANG) or even using industrial SCADA software, not to even mention all the space probes and life and time critical softwares that propel these shuttles. for example the canadarm (canadian arm of the international space station ISS) that remotely manipulates astronauts during space walks are all programmed by IT gurus. but wait ohh, i stated earlier about trying again, and again and again if a program fails during development. but in medicine if you fail oboy person fit die! hah! - i think the practise of medicine is very critical and not hard as programming, and also the yardstick for comparison should be clearly stated by the poster. we can't use university years to judge if one is harder than the other. Programming aspect of 'IT' is harder than medicine, while the practise of medicine itself is more critical that IT. Being critical doesn't mean hard. A programmer ages faster than a medical doctor.

the way i see it, this is a case of category. Maybe a change in the implementation of your site's userbility would do. An HTML select tag might do the trick. like i said this is a case of category. users can be categorized on anything you want, that criteria should do the redirection. i as a user might have registered with the subdomain, let's say products.xxxxxxx.com, and another user with marketing.xxxxxxxx.com and finally lets say sales.xxxxxx.com. And now when a user visits the root site at www.xxxxxxx.com, a descriptive text should guide the user to use the select element's dropdown values to choose which of the site's he like to login to. An onChange() javascript event handler will have to be added to this select tag, which eventually handles the redirection. well this approach will be null & void if your users will have to login into 3 different websites at once. but the drama of just clicking a link and suddenly 3 pages pop up will be bewildering to the user. believe me there are better approaches to handle things like this, like DHTML. Web 2.0 enable the user to have a sweet experience while browsing, don't scare away your users.
