abouzaid: Some are divorced or separated after been married or dating guys that deceived them with a flashy lifestyle only for the girl to realise that the guy is struggling financially later. As long as Nigerian girls are unduly attracted to money and other arcane things, single motherhood would continue to exist. Hmmm. |

Freestainworld: Many single mother's are = many single father's, the two committed the coitus, don't shift the blame on one side, no be Angle Gabriel got them pregnant. Okay, but the society is always concerned about single mothers, you they are the weaker gender, and they go through many u told hardship bringing up those kids, without male support,I really feel for them. |

This is the question I always ask myself, though some of them are widowed, but most of them are divorcees, and some as a result of premarital flings. And what makes it so disturbing is that the society have accepted it as a norm, something that was seen as abomination 40,50 years ago.

TheWolfen: Lol
Most slangs originated from Politic section ( one of the most toxic and ruthless section on this forum) No mod can manage the crazy people active on that section.
Then Football section and Phone section should should be below politic section respectively with many crazy slangs and curse words
Few manageable/demeaning/commonly use ones from Romance section like Simp, vagina people, penis people, Nigerian girls/boys
*Miscellaneous These set of crazy people brought in slangs that eventually got popular on Nairaland. Y'all knew them already no need to mention names
Damn nigga Holy gram *add yours Nna meeeeehnnnn I don't remember the moniker of that guy,but that slang is very funny to me |

Sincerely,PDP are more organized than the ruling apc, even though they are corrupt. APC on the other hand continue postponing their day of shame,I mean national convention because different factions in the party are suspicious of each others. Any party among the two that first organize it's national convention and show unity will get my vote come 2023 general election. |

What is happening in the north didn't just occur, the signs have been there over the years, but their elders always overlooked it. I remembered during my service year in 2010 in Faskari,Katsina state. It was on Wednesday after we finished our weekly CDS meeting,me and one girl was returning to our lodge.Suddenly from nowhere some small ajmajiri boys were throwing stones at the girl, just because she wore n.y.s.c issued khaki trouser.Incidentally there was an old man there and the lady (she is from Benue state, she understand Hausa language) went to the man to report those children, but unfortunately the man just look the other way and didn't reply the lady or caution those boys. It is the same Faskari that is now unsafe because of the bandits issue. The children they failed to educate up north are now the ones giving them sleepless nights. |
Nairaland General › So Far,would You Say 2020 Is Better Than 2021. by Axis313(op): 2:13pm On Jul 05, 2021*. Modified: 3:25pm On Jul 05, 2021 |
Good afternoon to you all,six months into year 2021,would you say this year is better than last year or vice versa, bearing in mind that corona virus and lockdown dominate the early part of last year, thereby resulting in economic decline globally, while ENDSARS protest took over the latter part of last year leading to many loss of lives.
While year 2021 is full of insecurity issues courtesy armed herdsmen, baudits and boko/iswap terrorism, and inflation in products, especially foodstuff.
I remembered people were jubilating when crossing over into 2021,not knowing what the year had in store for them.
What would you say,so far,halfway into 2021? |
