dammyjo112: Hello NLanders, I am 20 years of age and intend going back to school to study computer science. I am interested in studying outside the country, since the CS courses here look crappy (I know this because i have helped some students with their school projects/assignment).
I have been able to save 2.5M in the past 9 months (Made from blogging). I make on average 200k per month. I don't have any properties (Land or House) in Nigeria. I have taken 4 gap years (Which might be an issue with my visa interviewer).
Considering all this limitation, Which (good) foreign country can i study in ? (I know germany no longer have free tuition, and other ones have crazy visa bond). All countries in the world |

DrinosBlog: Tekno’s reply to Wizkid: Looks like the Beef intended for Wizkid and Davido might just have turned to a Tekno and Wizkid beef. It all started when Tekno decided to wade into the ongoing drama between Wizkid and Davido.
Tekno in some series of tweets wrote; “Na just time, soon we go know who international pass” Then he dropped a quite funny shade, where he urged one of the singers to go for HIV Test.
Wizkid immediately fired back, and cautioned Tekno, telling the latter to stay put, as “Ducks” don’t bark where Lions gather...
Now, Tekno responded.
He wrote;
Looks like Tekno is with Davido here!

Culture › Re: Yorubas Too Are Jews - New Research by aydes: 6:38pm On Jul 03, 2017 |
Rossikki: Yorubas - Sons of Ephraim
As stated in my books regarding the Igbos, the father of the Yoruba people, Oduduwa traveled with Gad’s sons, Eri, Areli and Arodi from North Africa, likely Egypt and settled in what today is known as Nigeria. This would coincide with Yoruba oral history that they believe to come from outside of West Africa and thus it would be no surprise that we might find Israelites, Hebrews and Jews among the Yoruba.
Oduduwa was said to be a descendant of Ham, through Nimrod also called Lamurudu, this according to Yoruba Christian Samuel Johnson in 1880. Sultan Bello, Caliph of Sokoto was quoted in 1820 by Hugh Clapperton to have said that the Yoruba people were descendants of a Canaanite tribe. And S.O. Obiaku a Nigerian Historian claimed the Yoruba’s to originate from the Sudan or what was known as Cush/Kush (Ethiopia).
However, some say “Yoruba” is a corruption of the name “Jacob” or in Hebrew, “Yacob.” Others assert that Yoruba is from “Yerubbaal,” the “People of Baal.”
But the current Yoruba Jewish population who claim to come from the Israeli tribe of Ephraim was said to have been driven to Yorubaland from Morocco by Muslims and eventually mingled with Yoruba people. These black Jews in southern Nigeria are called the "Emo Yo Quaim", or "Strange People", by the native Africans, but these black Jews call themselves, "B'nai Ephraim" or "Sons of Ephraim". These Jews who claim that their ancestors came from Morocco is supported by their language which appears to be a mixture of Maghrebi Arabic and local Negro speech. Thus abu (father) has become Yaaba, from the Hebrew word “Abba” and “Umm” (mother) is “Em” from the Hebrew, "Ima". Nevertheless, most of their language is similar to the Yoruba’s around them.
These Yoruba, “Sons of Ephraim” observe certain Jewish customs, among which are the great holy days, naming of children on the 8th day, etc. In almost every way, these black Jews are like the Yorubas, and are hardly distinguishable from them, except for some outstanding Hebrew observances.
But there is doubt whether any from this group exists today among the Yoruba.
There is a clan among the Yoruba People called the "Ijeeu," which is believed to be a corruption of the word “Hebrew” or “Jew.” They are looked down upon by the rest of the Yoruba for displaying Igbo-like character and traits, one of which is business prowess. There is even a town in Yorubaland called, "Ijuee-Igbo." Much if the Ijeeu people resent and deny this connection with them and Ndi Igbo.

Family › Re: I Lost My Job, Now I Am Losing My Dignity At Home by aydes: 7:48pm On Jul 02, 2017 |
mylander: Please advise.
I was in an employment of a bank until recently when my employment was terminated.
When I had the job, I took my family welfare as my priory. My wife and our only son were faring good, I always ensure we do not lack the basic necessities. Meanwhile, my wife did not have a job then. All the house upkeep expenses including the cost of running her postgraduate program were on me and I felt comfortable bearing the costs as the breadwinner of the family.
After I lost my job in the bank some month ago, my wife got an employment with the state govt. With her little income, she has been able to assist in bearing some expenses, even she pays for fuelling our car sometimes.
The drama has now started in the house and our marriage is on the verge of breaking up.
Any little issue, my wife will turn it to quarrel, different abuses. Funny enough, she would be referring to the financial supports she has been rendering in the house. This is a woman that did not work at all for 2 years and I was bearing all the expenses with pleasure. Now she had only supported me for about 4months now and she's is misbehaving.
To my surprise, my wife maintains a record in which she records every penny she spends in the house including food items and fuel. With this, she always ask me when will I pay him back.
At the instance of a simple argument/misunderstanding, my wife would be boasting of 'I paid for this, I paid for that....' 'If not for my support since you had problem at work......'
Please advise me, I am getting fed-up with the situation, my wife had changed totally. Look at it as a motivation for you to bounce up fast. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Were We Given Free Will Which Could Still Lead Us To Hell? by aydes: 4:00pm On Jul 02, 2017 |
hopefulLandlord: that's because freewill and omniscience are mutually exclusive!
If He knows what we're going to do, doesn't that mean we are destined to do it? And if we are destined to do it, what are we, just "automaton-entertainment" for God??
To put it another way, God knows what we're going to do but we don't know what we're going to do. Still, we are going to do what God already knows we're going to do.
If we don't know what we're going to do (free will), how can God know, in advance, what we're going to do, since we haven't done it yet?
Either God does or doesn't know what we're going to do. And if God does know what we're going to do, what is the point of being tested as to whether we deserve Heaven or Hell? If we can't change (no free will) or if God knows what we're going to do in advance, why not go directly to Go either Heaven or Hell? As the song goes, "Why mess with mister in-between?" ♫♪♪♫♫♪
I'm sorry, but square pegs do not fit into a round hole. I learned that when I played with my "baby's block set." Later on, I learned that "you can't squeeze blood from a turnip," or my friend's favorite, "you can't pick feathers from a frog" (Dutch saying).
I will repeat my question: What is the point of free will if we are destined to do such-and-such? I don't get it. Naturally after Adam and Eve disobeyed God, we were all born into sin. We are all damned by nature to commit sin or even end in sin BUT then thats why he sent Jesus to die for our sins and follow his principles and ways. But still there are alot of things that are mystery to man. |

But the simple truth is votes change within a week, reason is Nigerians are flexible. Tboss has been one of the most interesting personalities in the house if you watch the show closely she's real she doesn't follow the crowd, so she stands out I guess she attracted votes within a week. Billy has been more silent and boring. So I guess they Nigerians wanted a more interesting show besides don't underestimate the power of women. |
