Phones / How It Works: Proximity Sensor On Your Device by Ayebaeapretai(f): 10:24am On Mar 11, 2020 |
Hi Guys, it’s wonderful day to give some light to one of the most asked questions . ’’ My screen doesn’t go off when I put it in my ear or making a call’’ Familiar question right? The answer is simple, Your PROXIMITY SENSOR The proximity sensor. The proximity sensor is an important sensor which works by pulsing an infrared LED and measuring the amount of reflectance. Put more simply, the proximity sensor shines a light onto your skin, the sensor sees the light bouncing back, knows your face is there and sends a signal to the operating system telling it to shut down the screen. When the light doesn’t bounce back the proximity sensor sends a signal to the operating system telling it to put the screen back on. Cool! But why doesn’t my screen go off Now that you know what the proximity sensor does and its importance, are you still wondering why you seem to have common issue with your device? The answer is quite simple, yes! Screen guards or should we say tempered glass are the major culprits here, this happens your screen guards are fitted improperly which blocks off the proximity sensor of your device. It is important to ensure you screen guards are properly installed or better still not used but who wants to have his phone screen broken? The proximity sensor function is extremely important because not only does it prevent you from unintentionally touching buttons while trying to have a conversation, but it also saves precious battery life. The operation and design of the proximity sensor is not only brilliant technologically but also brilliant in terms of product design. It solved a problem before it even became a problem. Not only is that, but the fact that it all happens automatically what truly makes it brilliant. Imagine how annoying it would be if you had to manually turn off your phone’s screen before putting it to your ear and then turn it back on to read a text, then off again when you put it to your ear, then on again to check who is calling on the other line. Phones / See Some Easy Product Tips For Your Phone by Ayebaeapretai(f): 2:33pm On Mar 02, 2020 |
Most of us have experienced that unfortunate moment when your phone slips out of your hand and the screen is smashed to pieces. Don’t give up on your smartphone just yet because of a cracked screen. Ignoring it can be dangerous and ugly, replacing the screen is costly, not even mentioning the costs of getting a new phone altogether! In this volume XClub Product Tips, here are a few tips for you to do with a cracked smartphone screen. 1. Assessing the crack: If you’ve got a cracked screen, first you should assess how bad the damage is. You might be able to live with small cracks that don’t block your view too much, but larger cracks should probably be dealt with immediately. If the colours on your screen are abnormal or some pixels are no longer displaying, the damage has gone much further than the glass on top and has affected the LCD panel beneath. 2. Backing up your phone: Before you consider any of the following options, we recommend that you back up your phone so that precious photos and other files are not lost. The damage to the screen could have a deeper impact you’re not aware of and some of these processes may require you to send your phone off, so it’s best to sort out copies right away.To backup data of your Infinix phone. 3. Contacting the manufacturer for warranties: Warranties don’t typically cover accidental damage, so you’re unlikely to get a free repair under warranty for a cracked screen. However, your smartphone’s manufacturer may offer a paid repair instead. Getting the manufacturer to look at your phone instead of a third party is preferable as it obviously knows what’s best for its own devices. Check out your manufacturer’s website for details. Remember, if your manufacturer does offer repairs, they’ll probably cost more than an independent shop. 4. Checking insurance policies: Phone insurance policies cover accidental damage to smartphones and many typically include cracked screens. You may have bought insurance from your network carrier with your phone, or you have coverage from a specialist. Currently, Infinix offers such service known as After sales service . 5. Finding a repair shop: If you haven't found any authorized repair shop nearby, you may search around for a repair shop. There is a host of stores who can fix your phone for you, but take care when going down this route, research first – ask friends and look for any comments online. Make sure you get a clear quote before handing over your phone and money. It’s also important to note that some manufacturers void the warranty if it is tampered with by a third-party repair outlet. This would mean that if you have serious problems in the future and try to send it back to the manufacturer, they will refuse to replace it. Find outHere https://www.infinix.club/ng/forum/195/420130 phone dropping is hard to avoid but you should consider giving your handset some extra protection in case it happens again. A good screen protector can cover the screen and may save your phone next time around. You may check out these tips to choose the best screen protector. Phones / How To Remove A Virus From Your Android Device by Ayebaeapretai(f): 4:10pm On Feb 18, 2020 |
If your android device has shown signs of a virus attack, there is no need to panic. There are a few ways to remove a virus from an android device. 1. Locate and delete the virus manually This method is only applicable if you know the application or file with the virus. If your phone started malfunctioning after installing an app or downloading a file, delete the infected document. To delete an infected file or application, you should follow the steps listed below. i. Switch your android device to safe mode. Putting your device in safe mode will stop applications from working. If the file that has the virus is an application, the safe mode setting will render the virus inactive. ii. In the menu of your device, go the ‘ settings ’. Find all the apps that you installed on the device and uninstall the applications that you suspect are responsible for the virus attack. We recommend that you also delete any related application files that may be in your file manager. In a few cases, you may be unable to delete the infected application. If you are in this scenario, review the permissions that you granted to the affected application. Deactivate any permission given to the app, then try and uninstall the application again. However, if you are not sure which app or file carries the virus, you can try the other methods on this list. 2. Use an antivirus to identify and delete the virus If you have an antivirus app, run an in-depth scan of your device. The scan will show the suspicious files or applications on your device. The app may also provide you with options on how to deal with the infected files. The best action is to delete the infected files. In some cases, the antivirus app may identify the virus, but you will have to delete the infected file or files manually. Some good Anti-virus app includes the following: TrNorton security, Kaspersky Mobile Antivirus, and others. 3. Perform a factory reset Performing a factory reset is the last resort. When you complete a reset, all the data on your phone will be deleted, and the factory settings will be restored. If you back up your data regularly, you can proceed with a factory reset. Alternatively, If you have valuable information on your android device, send the information to a device with a reliable antivirus. Do not send data to a device, laptop or computer if it does not have a working antivirus. Afterwards, perform the factory reset on your android device. Immediately your android device is working correctly, download and install an antivirus. https://www.infinix.club/ng/forum/824/2108711 |
