Politics › Re: Adamu: APC's 28 Presidential Aspirants Undergoing Screening by Ayed44: 6:46am On May 26, 2022 |
PassingShot: There goes out of the window the hope of those waiting to emerge through consensus or anointing.
A party needs to field their strongest candidate who emerges through keenly contested primary in a free and fair atmosphere. Force any aspirant on the party and watch yourself disintegrate like a pack of cards.
If a consensus should even be used, does it make sense to give the ticket to someone who has never won an election in his life? Someone who could not win his polling booth? Or someone whose state is controlled effectively by PDP where Wike has practically silenced him?
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains the right man for APC. He ticks all the right boxes and he is liked across the country except by Mpurimurim people who cannot even hold their governors to account.
BAT will win the ticket and win the general election convincingly by God's Grace, in sha Allah.
APC's supporters of the opportunistic VP should take heart. PDP's supporters who have been praying and fighting for "Obi or Osinbajo" should also take heart.
Get used to saying President Bola Ahmed Tinubu already. So u believe Adamu has any power to decide whether they will use consensus or not? Come on! Buhari is the alpha and Omega. He will decide what mode to use. |

As for the solution, call the phone number they left for u and negotiate with them. If u are polite with them, u will not spend more than 50k. Whatever u give them is their own pocket money because there is every likelihood they have not reported the matter to their office.

Fashola as a minister has no power to construct any road of his choice. He is only there to oversee the projects covered under FG's blueprint and approved by the FEC. Anenih also oversaw the projects the FG asked his ministry to embark upon as a minister. |

Parachoko: Why do you think Tinubu will be persuaded to step down from his ambition? If you are in Tinubu's shoe, will you step down when you know you can get it and you are capable to lead? If the president says he wants consensus arrangement, Tinubu must step down for whoever Buhari chooses. He cannot do anything, he can only grumble quitely like a pig. If he refuses to step down voluntarily, then he will be forced to step down. The president had enormous power at his disposal to do that. The fact is that Buhari has a preferred candidate and nobody within APC can defeat the candidate of the president. In Nigeria's democracy, nobody can defeat a president in his own power. You can defeat him from another party but definitely not within his party. In other words, Buhari is bigger than everyone else in APC and whatever he wants he must get, by hook or by crook. |

It's just a pity some of you don't really know Buhari.
Buhari has already chosen his candidate since last year, but typical of him, he will allow everybody to waste their time and money visiting delegates. Buhari will only appear some days to the primary and impose his candidate on everybody in the name of location. And nobody will disagree because the APC people have foolishly made Buhari a god in their party to the extent that nobody disagrees with him. |

No one stopped Igbos from contesting in 1998, why should you guys be demanding for people like Tinubu should step down?
No one is stopping Okorocha or Onu from contesting at the primaries Obasanjo has been chosen on consensus before the primary election. In order to douse the tension raised by the Yorubas because of the evil treatment of MKO Abiola, the North's ruling class decided to compensate them with the presidency. And Obasanjo was the most trusted Ally. Obasanjo was specifically released from the prison for this purpose. So the PDP's presidential primary in Jos in 1998 was just a facade to satisfy all righteousness. Same thing with APC. APC had already chosen Buhari on consensus in 2014/15 even before the primary was held in Lagos that year. |

It is clear that most of Peter Obi supporters are Diaspora Igbo people who only vote in Twitter. Most of them don't even live in Nigeria because the 1m man match has been a flop. It's not the number that matters. It's the zeal and passion of the people to willingly come out without being paid. Politics › Re: Wike, A PDP Biggest Mistake by Ayed44: 9:47pm On May 20, 2022 |
Jimiyke: Wike will be PDP's biggest electoral liability should he eventually succeed in buying off the Party ticket.
Wike, a full blooded Igbo man, denounces his Igboness all in a bid to be accepted by the North. But the same North knows him as an anti-North and anti-Islam bigot.
As PDP presidential candidate, Wike will struggle to win Rivers, because, he neither have the Ikwere Igbo fully with him, nor the Ijaw. In fact the Ijaw have collectively disowned him and cast a curse on his presidential ambition.
Wike as governor got power drunk. He went about insulting everybody, at the slightest provocation. He harasses the ordinary people and tries to intimidate the elites. Wike has no political base. The ordinary masses are not comfortable with him, because they don't know if he will get drunk with power or beer someday and unilaterally decide to demolish the entire Abuja or Lagos. The political, business, and even religious elites can't be comfortable with him, because they know him as an erratic man who can wake up one day and take an impulsive decision that might set the entire country ablaze or raze down the investments of our billionaires. Wike deserves the PDP ticket more than any other aspirant. If not for Wike, the PDP would have died long ago. Wike was the sole financier of the party after the electoral defeat of 2015. It was Wike who carried the party on his shoulder after Saraki, Atiku and co joined hands with APC to destroy the PDP in 2015. Where was ur favorite candidate when APC sent Ali Modu Sheriff to bury PDP in 2016. It was Wike and a few others that stood their ground to weather the storm. Wike is a loyal party man to the core. You may have personal issues with Wike, but please give him some respect when it comes to PDP affairs. |
