Ayindesegun10: Good morning everyone. I recently came across the express entry and it seems like something really promising. I evaluated my CRS score and it seems somewhat low (456) compared to what I’ve seen on this thread with people having wayy higher without having ITA. Additionally, I also happen to be in the list of demanded occupations, in the trade part. I have two years of experience working for US companies as a construction estimator, I have documented employment in this. Including pay stubs, taxes and pension contributions from my employer. Does this put me in a better condition than the general CRS draw? And also, I checked the last time a trade draw was done, the minimum CRS score was >500 which I think is extremely competitive for a trade draw. I also have a Masters Degree in a tech field and I contribute regularly to Data Science projects but not as a paid employment. Please how do I navigate my profile to get competitive? I started French lessons but it doesn’t seem like something I’d pass. CC: MayorOfEdmonton |

Mildred25: It's doable. I started learning French from scratch and within 10 months pushed myself to write TCF. It wasn’t easy, but it paid off. I have my pr now. Just dedicate yourself entirely to learning, watch French movies without subtitles, listen to podcasts, find a tutor or study partner, and immerse yourself in the language. It took me 10 months because I was too anxious to write the exam. With upmost dedication 7-8 months is reasonable. . |

Shokoloko: If your GCkeys was revoked it happened to lots of people. You will need to create and link a new application - at least that was what I did for someone yesterday.
Previously passwords for GCkey could be only letters but the new update is letters and numbers
Maybe that is why a lot were revoked, but I am not too sure Thanks for the info. But mine wasn't revoked. The site isn't just going through at the moment. |

Esmer: Please guys, can affidavit of support replace both deed of gift and letter of sponsorship? Affidavit and gift deed serve different purposes. You can actually do both. Letter of sponsorshio may not necessarily be needed if there's an affidavit of support. But I'll advise to still do it. Explain everything in clear terms. Have a great day! |

Elixosodi: Hello everyone,
I have questions to ask concerning my letter of explanation. I did my first application 24th of May 2021 and I got a refusal on September 15, 2021. The reason for my refusal is POF. However, I have been able to sort the POF issue.
My question, therefore, is when I am writing my letter of explanation, is it the reason for my refusal I will be addressing alone?
Secondly, I am changing my DLI from Saint Paul University to Memorial University also I am changing my course as well from M.A in Public Ethics to M.A in Education. However, both courses I chose due to the nature of my job which is teaching. I would like to know, do I have to explain the reason for the switch in my LOE or I should just state it and not explaining the reason for the switch.
Thank you as I await your response. What's the range of the initial POF. Just an estimate please |
