It all started 5 nights ago. I came back from work and came along with my usual suya to feed alixis( female Caucasian + German breed) and Sanchez (male same mixed breed)

I noticed Alexis was eating with usual excitement and energy but Sanchez will not eat.
The next morning I woke up to very smelly vomit everywhere. Sanchez who refused to eat has been vomiting and its smelly.this continued till the next day. He has stopped eating and will only take water.
Day 3 I called in my vet who vaccinated them and treated Sanchez. He told me the dog will recover buy by evening the dog seems to be going worse as he is now vomiting only water.as I type this, he has lost so much weight looking so skeletal and is still refusing to eat. Everyone is giving up already as he has refused to recover. Please help me guy. I have been feeding them can food since I got them and made sure their environment is very clean. Alexis the female is fine and very active but Sanchez is almost gone.

Finally she is here.
I got TALIA from a Vet here in Benin at about 2months and 16days old. Dunno how pure she is but she is a good Caucasian puppy. In the picture below she is now about 3months and 20days...
She was kind of a picky eater at first, she refused to eat kibbles and even fish. She only managed noodles and cooked meat. But after her vaccination her appetite grew bigger and now we don't have any problem deciding what to feed because she eats almost anything which includes kibbles, fish, noodles and meat. I guess she really needed that worm pill and other treatments. She is now super active.

Pregnancy and Whelping Preparation

U av to watch for Signs of Pregnancy

Canine gestation lasts approximately 63 days. Signs of pregnancy include an increase in appetite, weight, and nipple size. However, a bitch with false pregnancy may also show these signs.
False pregnancy is when a dog exhibit the signs of pregnancy but is not pregnant.

A vet or an expert can usually confirm a pregnancy through abdominal palpitation at 28 days or by using ultrasound or X-rays.

If ur not experienced plz dnt do palpation cos it can cause miscarriage.

U should provide proper nutrition for ur pregnant bitch.

Her food intake should be increased only as her body weight increases, Daily food intake should be increased gradually, so that at the time of whelping she may be eating 35 to 50 percent more than usual. As her weight and food intake increase, begin offering small, frequent meals to spare her the discomfort that larger meals can cause, especially in a small dog.

If u have been feeding ur bitch a well-balanced, high-quality diet, you should not need to add anything to her food during her pregnancy. However, i advocate supplementation because some bitches might not eat very well during pregnancy.

U can give her a protein source such as evaporated milk, eggs, meat, or liver.

Look for a balanced diet for ur pregnant bitch before, during and after pregnancy.

A malnourished mother whether underweight or over weight could be bad for her. Good nutrition sets the stage for successful breeding and healthy puppies in dogs.

There could be consequences for the mum and her babies if u dnt feed her rightly. If u feed her wrongly and she becomes overweight then It could cause fewer milk production during lactation, difficult or prolonged labor and extra stress on the puppies which can kill them. And if shes so tired she can abandon her babies.

If shes overweight before mating then it could reduce the number if eggs released during ovulation which would result in fewer or reduced litter size ( number of puppies).

underfeeding during pregnancy can result in embryo loss, abnormal fetal development, spontaneous abortion or stillbirth, and low birth-weight of puppies and they might not do well.

That said i advice u to go for a good puppy meal for ur pregnant bitch as it contains most of the essential vitamins and minerals and then u can supplement it with a bitch pill

Accustom ur bitch to the Whelping Box
It is a good idea to build a whelping box well in advance so the bitch has time to become accustomed to it.

If u dnt do that she might go to ur toilet or even outside the house or some other inappropriate place to whelp.

An ideal whelping environment is warm, dry, quiet, draft-free, and away from all other dogs when possible.

Confinement and whelping location of ur bitch is relative to her breed and size.

Many breeders prefer to line the box with newspapers until after delivery because paper can be changed quickly when it becomes soiled.

After whelping, newspapers are replaced with non-skid bath mats, outdoor carpeting, or something else that provides better footing for the puppies.

These are the items u should buy in preparation for whelping.

Newspaper
bedding for bitch and puppies, whelping box,
Clean Towels,
Thermostat to check bitch’s temperature prior to whelping,
Un-waxed Dental Floss for tying puppies’ umbilical cords,
Heating Pad to keep puppies warm. Some people keep lanterns around in place of this.

Be sure that it does not get too hot,
Scissors to cut puppies umbilical cords or the placenta,
Iodine to apply after umbilical cord is cut (either by bitch or breeder), clean puppies’ abdomen with iodine too.

Signs of Labor

A few days b4 the bitch is ready to give birth, she may stop eating and start building a nest where she plans to have her puppies. if u introduce the whelping box properly to her then she would build the nest in it.

Shortly before whelping, the bitch’s body temperature will drop
Approximately 24 hours after her temperature drops, she can be expected to enter the first stage of labor when the cervix

dilates and opens the birth canal for the passage of puppies.

At this time, she will pant, strain, and appear restless. This stage of labor is followed by actual abdominal straining and production of the puppies and placentas.
