On behalf of the Ogun State people, I appreciate the voluntary humanitarian contributions of Baba Olusegun Obasanjo, Pa E.A. Adeboye, Mr Fola Adeola and Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu, in response to the plea for intervention from private individuals, corporate organisations and religious bodies. Former President, Chief Obasanjo and Mr Fola Adeola, founder, Fate Foundation, both donated their property in Abeokuta as isolation centres. The General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pa Adeboye made available for use, medical facilities of the Enoch & Folu Adeboye Intensive Care Unit, Redeemers Health Centre. While my friend and brother, Alhaji Rabiu, who is the Chairman of BUA donated 100 million Naira and pledged medical equipment and supplies to the State COVID-19 Pandemic Support Fund. I want to personally assure the entire citizenry of Ogun State that I will ensure the judicious use of these donations of funds and property towards the containment of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are hopeful that, as these appreciated donations contribute significantly to the fight against COVID-19, other well-meaning Nigerians would follow their lead and noble example. This pandemic poses a collective challenge and together, we must join hands in fighting it. We will confront it. We will slow it down. We will defeat it. #BuildingOurFutureTogether

My Encounter With Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa Turned my Life Around - Aliko Dangote Not many would expect a Christian evangelist’s prophecy to find fulfillment in a Muslims’ life, and certainly not in the life of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote. This is yet one of the most fascinating stories i have ever read in Christiandom, i have always heard and seen the reality of the ministry of a prophet, manifestation of the spirit of God and raw power in church services, but then, this particular one took place outside the walls of the church. Born on April 10, 1957 in the then Northern Region (Kano State) Aliko Dangote was born to Mohammed Dangote and Mariya Sanusi Dantata. An ethnic Hausa from Kano State, he showed his love for business by selling sweets even in primary school. As a teenager, he began to work for his uncle, Sani Dangote and it was said of him that he served diligently. Sometime in 1977 and after his 20th birthday, he approached his uncle and master and told him about his plan to establish a business outfit which would trade in cement, sugar, rice, pasta, salt, cotton, millet, vegetable oil and other products. His uncle provided a loan of N500,000 but gave a caveat to Aliko to return the loan within a deadline of three-months(this was the practice at the time). Dangote first of all relocated to Lagos in June 1977, the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria, also, he then began to travel around Nigeria to develop a strong distribution channel for the quick and efficient delivery of his products. A few years earlier, the Benin Airport had been constructed. This served as one of his routes to the Niger-Delta or South-South area of Nigeria. Benin, formerly known as the City of Blood was then experiencing a great revival through 39 year old Benson Andrew Idahosa, a Bini man, who was established as a young Christian in the Assemblies of God and now pastored the Church of God Mission. Idahosa who had recently returned from a missionary school in America had established strong links with a number of pastors such as Gordon Lindsay, Jim Bakker and T.L Osborn among others. Tommy Lee Osborn, one of the greatest evangelists in modern times had first responded to Benson Idahosa’s letters in 1962. Subsequently, a solid relationship was established over the years resulting in Osborn’s visits with his wife, Daisy to Benin on a few occasions, either for his crusades or specifically to Idahosa’s Church. Of all the visits however, one specific visit in the late 1970s was very unique. T.L and Daisy Osborn had stayed late ministering at the Miracle Centre of Church of God Mission just opposite the Airport. They therefore went late to catch their flight to Lagos which was supposed to be a connecting flight from Johannesburg to France, England and then the USA. By the time Idahosa took his guests to the airport, they were told that the last flight for the day was overbooked. Not one seat was available, the passengers had boarded and the flight about to take off. Not only that, the jetliner had begun to taxi towards the runway. Benson Idahosa”s new mercedes sped towards the tarmac and screeched to a halt in front of the plane. Benson Idahosa came out and waved at the pilot frantically. The plane stopped and the steps were lowered as the pilot came down to know what the issue was. Idahosa began “I have two of God’s important servants who must go to Lagos”. “But we are loaded to capacity. Every seat is full” said the captain. “Never mind. Let me on board. They all know me; they see ‘Redemption Hour’ (Idahosa’s TV program). Let me talk to them”. Idahosa obliged, climbed into the plane and walked down the crowded aisles. The passengers were annoyed. He prayed silently as he returned to the front. He turned round, facing the passengers and started “Excuse me friends, I have two of God’s special servants in my car. They must go to Lagos today on this plane. Two of you will get off now so God’s servants can board. God bless you. He waited a minute, no one moved. The silence showed annoyance by the impatient passengers. Some pretended to be asleep and others it seemed were praying. Idahosa slowly walked the aisle again. As he approached the rear, a young man rose from the back of the plane and asked the person sitting next to him to get up. Yes, said Idahosa pointing, you can go tomorrow. You can travel later he said, pointing to the other man. They both gathered their belongings and proceeded from the plane. Benson Idahosa stopped the first man in in the aisle of the plane. He asked him “young man, what is your name and what do you do? “My name is Aliko Dangote and this is my assistant” the young man replied. “I am a trader, a businessman”. Impressed. Benson Idahosa responded. “The World will get up for you” the mostly Christian passengers responded “Amen”. “My God will bless you! God will take you and your business beyond Africa and bless you beyond measure”. Just before descending the steps, Idahosa turned and raised his hands with tears in his eyes, praised the Lord and blessed the remaining passengers for their patience. They all broke out in spontaneous clapping. See you on ‘Redemption Hour’ this Sunday evening he said. They clapped as T.L and Daisy Osborn boarded for the subsequent flight. The world has since stood up for that twenty something year old man. Today, Aliko Dangote is a Nigerian Billionaire (worth more than $18.6Bn networth). https://news-af.feednews.com/news/detail/92e49fea05cf131e23da9a16f1a81be5?client=news

Miyetti Allah seeks members’ inclusion in Operation Amotekun The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Oyo State chapter, has called for the inclusion of its members in the proposed Amotekun initiative in the state. Alhaji Yaqub Bello, a former Chairman of MACBAN in the state, made the call on Monday during a public hearing on the Oyo State Security Network Agency Bill, 2020, also known as Amotekun bill. Bello, while expressing the support of the association to the Amotekun initiative, insisted that only haters of truth would oppose such a move. “Some of us have been in Oyo state for over 40 years, cohabiting with the natives, married Yoruba women and have children. “So, our request is to include Myetti Allah as members of Operation Amotekun to enhance the job of the outfit, since we know the terrain of where we rear our cattle. “Having Fulani among the outfit will make it easier for Amotekun men to distinguish between genuine herdsmen and the criminals while on patrol. “A Fulani man can also serve as an interpreter while interrogating any suspected herdsman,” Bello said. He admitted that the major objective of the initiative was to curb criminal activities in the society and not to witch hunt any particular body or ethnic group. Describing his members as law abiding, he said that none of them had been involved in any form of criminal activity, adding that rather, they had been carrying out their legitimate business, that is, cattle rearing. https://www.pulse.ng/news/local/miyetti-allah-seeks-members-inclusion-in-operation-amotekun/ks4sfrk

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has revealed he is part of the valentine celebration every February 14. The respected preacher said he spends the day asking to love God more and renew his marital vows. On his verified Facebook and Instagram pages, he shared a romantic memory of where he was kissing his adorable wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye. The caption for the photo shared on social media reads: “Lord, please help us as a couple to love You more and more with each passing day in the name of Jesus.’ The picture was taken on the occasion of a surprise book launch masterminded by the wife in August 2017, which coincided with the cleric’s 50th wedding anniversary. https://thenationonlineng.net/how-i-celebrate-valentine-by-pastor-adeboye/

Who are your mentors in the Gospel music industry? Do they also used nick names? Why don't you promote your name instead of using stage name. If you are a genuine gospel singer you are a minister not just an entertainer. |
Lyon was at swearing-in rehearsal when Supreme Court sacked him. Erstwhile Bayelsa State governor-elect David Lyon was at a rehearsal for his swearing-in when Supreme Court sacked him. Dressed in a multi-coloured shirt and flanked by military personnel, Lyon was seen in pictures having his pre-swearing-in exercise on the parade ground. Lyon was seen in all-smiles waving at supporters who cheered him. The Supreme Court on Thursday nullified the election of Bayelsa State governor-elect David Lyon and his deputy-elect Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo, a day before their swearing-in on Friday, February 14. The court said Degi-Eremienyo, who was Lyon’s running mate in the election, forged the certificate he presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The court ordered INEC to issue a certificate of return to the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate Senator Douye Diri who came second in the election. Early in the year, Lyon, who was yet to be sworn in as Bayelsa State governor, said he had been awarded Nigeria’s best performing governor for 2019. Although Lyon did not mention the organisation that awarded him but attributed the award to ‘God’. “I am not even used to receiving awards,” Lyon said while his supporters celebrated his acclaimed feat with applauses. “This will not be the first and it will not be the last.” https://guardian.ng/news/lyon-was-at-swearing-in-rehearsal-when-supreme-court-sacked-him/ via @GoogleNews

BUHARI BLAMES BORNO PEOPLE FOR BOKO HARAM KILLINGS IN MAIDUGIRI Boko Haram cannot strike without your cooperation, Buhari tells Borno residents .................. Pastoring is a tough job. It is one calling that takes your spiritual , mental and physical input! Many pastors are actually stressed out , overworked and depressed . Want to know how to help your pastor and also help your growth in Christ? 1 . Show up! You have no idea what your continuous attendance at your local church does for your assembly . The truth is that people join a church based on the kind of community it is . They join because of the fellowship of brethren and the love there in . Ensuring you never miss a service ensures that the assembly has the pleasure and blessing of your fellowship. Growing churches grow easier than non - growing churches . Your absence at your local church meeting does more harm than you can ever imagine . 2. Pay attention to the word . A church filled with babies cannot significantly advance God's plan on the earth . This is why you must desire to grow and take steps to do so . You need to devour the teachings of your ministry gift and grow by them . Feed on the scriptures and be able to explain them and apply them . 3. Do not miss prayer meetings . The flame of revival is fanned by the intensity of prayers . The real members of a church are the praying members . A church that will remain ablaze for Christ must have between 80-100% of her members praying together at least once a week for between 1-2 hrs per time . Cooperate prayer meetings enables the Lord unify the vision in the local church. Praying together causes everyone to see the same thing and move in the same direction . Make up your mind to attend your next prayer meeting . 4. Join a department/ unit/group Endeavour you play your role in ensuring every service day is a success . Christianity is about service . You give yourself to serving another . Jesus emphasized washing the feet of the saints to exemplify humble service between believers . So don't just be content to seat in church week in week out ! Join a department and be dedicated there ! 5. Pray for your pastor. Your pastor is a marked man . He is going to be attacked by the devil because the scripture says " strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter " . A lot of ministers are carrying purifying wounds in their souls due to heartbreaks and unmet expectations . So pray for your pastor passionately ! Pray for help , pray for light, pray for direction and pray for opportunities for him ! You know he is praying for you . 6. Give to your pastor . This part is very important . Never neglect the welfare of your pastor . Don't wait for when he has a need . Schedule your benevolence gift to him . Most pastors never disclose when they have serious needs . They will just keep quiet looking to the Lord to meet their needs . Always regularly give to meet his needs even if he doesn't need it . Don't also give to your pastor as though he were a beggar . Give to him as a matter of honor for this is scriptural . 7. Walk in love with your pastor . Nothing destroys a local church like strife and gossips. Words will destroy a house from within it than a thousand armies from without . When people say evil things about your pastor or church ensure you protect both as your actions at that moment of accusation may either build a stronger hold in the mind of the accuser or weaken it . Walk in love to your pastor or local church knowing that all are men saved by Grace. 8.Provide honest feedback . This one is so important. The head takes decision for the body when the body provides quick feedback ! Never hold back necessary information about members or issues in church from your pastor . That member battling depression or going through a break up , that fellow who lost their job and is suffering , tell your pastor ! Did something happen at a service you didn't like ? Instead of backbiting or gossiping about it just give pastor feedback . I believe that most churches would do better if more people gave their pastors feedback rather than just leaving the church . 9. Words of encouragement. Encourage your pastor well! Did a sermon bless you ? Tell him ! Did the power of God flow powerfully in a service and you where blessed ? Tell him ! He is a man and would be encouraged because of what God did in the service . Be loud about encouraging him especially when he may have a lot to discourage him . 10. Bring a friend with you . There is no greater indication that you are being blessed by a minister or local church than you bringing friends and family with you ! No one eats a good meal and not want to get others to eat it with them . Do not leave the burden of reaching the world to your pastor . That burden is too great for one man to bear . So as you have been blessed ensure those close to you are blessed too! Bring them along ! God wants stronger local churches and it will happen through believers like You! |

This is really commendable! God will continue to bless His church. Where are the wailers ? Good news like this never trend in this Country. Bishop Oyedepo constructed road in Ota it wasn't popular on the news Pastor Adeboye building intensive care unit in hospitals all around the national, Lagos, Jos, Ogun state etc wasn't popular. RCCG has free maternity centers all over the Nation, it was not a popular news Pastor Paul Adefarasin empowering people in Lagos was not heard on the news If all you look for is how to tarnish the image of these great men of God by spreading bad news, you will never see greatness |
