Enugu state is a very nice place to serve. Be ready to meet a funny but no nonsense RSM at the orientation camp; meet one funny man who always wear red cross apron (I call him national biggle), be ready to face general punishments during the morning meditation. Above all, you will always enjoy the 3rd week more than the first and second. Please note that, enugu camp no dey do camp fire night. Have a safe trip down to Awgu, enugu state nysc orientation camp.

NYSCCan I Defer Ongoing NYSC Service Assignment? Please Advice by ayodejy05(op): 3:10pm On Dec 23, 2014
I just won two contracts that will break me through in life and the project commences January, 2015 and will take up to 3 months to complete. I don't want to miss this one time opportunity but I'm confused about how to sort out NYSC issue. Is it possible to defer or is there any possible solution to situation like this?

Note: I am a batch C corp member at Enugu state and I'm from Ondo state which is also the location of project contract.

Please drop your suggestions and no insult or abuse.

AgricultureIs Farming A Career of Failures Or The Successful? by ayodejy05(op):
When some people fail either in school or life, they are usually told to go and start farming because they have failed. Does it mean that farming is a career of failures? Many people think that farming is a career for failures, the old and the illiterates. They even look at farmers as people without brains and nonentity.

Are farmers a failure? A straight forward answer is farmers are not failures and farming is not a career of failures. These are strong-willed people, who stand on their feet even when faced with harsh challenges like drought, crop failure and animal diseases. These are people who continue practising until they get it right, they are not quitters but overcomers. These are people when asked why they do it, they will tell you, "I do it because I love it."

Farming is a noble career with great people who have defied failure, stared it in its face and told it off; people who have stood the test of time doing what they know best. If you want to learn courage, go and ask the farmer. If you want to know how to take calculated risks, go and ask the farmer. If you want to know management, go and ask the farmer. If you want to know economics, go and ask the farmer. The farmer will tell you what it is and how to, because he/she know. Farming is a career with many disciplines, touching nearly every aspect of human life. With all the knowledge the farmer has, how can farming be a career for failure?
A challenge to youths, especially those who have studied Agriculture or any agriculture-related course; you know very well that farming is a business. You know very well how to run profitable farming enterprise. With all the knowledge you have, why do you have to move from place to place looking for a consultancy job? Why should you spend one year looking for a job you don't know if you will ever get it or not, when it only takes three months to grow and sell potatoes? Why should you spend four years trying to find a job overseas when it takes only one year to grow a banana plantation and start enjoying the benefits? Why should you spend your time and energy looking for a job that you very well know that one day it will come to an end whether you are a good you like it or not?”

Be smart, for farmers are smart. Start your farming enterprise now when you still have the drive and the energy. One thing you should never forget is that, he who finds a job today, no matter how good he may be on the job, will one day lose it. But he who finds an enterprise today, will not only create wealth for himself/herself, but will also create opportunities for others; and that's development. That's how smart farmers are, and that's what drives them to do what they do; wanting to make an impact, wanting to give jobs and not to be given a job and wanting to leave the world better than they found it. So if today you come telling me that farming is a career for failures, I would tell you what I have always been telling others; “you don't know who a farmer is, because a the farmer I know is not a beggar but a master.” If the farmer is a master, then who is a failure?
Youths! It's time you thought seriously about a career path, stop running away from your shadows and chasing ghosts, let’s go to the farm, you will be surprised how farming fits you well and how rewarding it is. Remember; "No farmer No food No Future.”

You are very right. For example, you will be able to apply your knowledge of every aspect if you are about managing of starting an integrated frm where nothing is wasted.

AgricultureHow To Successfully Raise Broilers For The Forthcoming Christmas And Save Money by ayodejy05(op):
As the time draws nearer to Christmas in the late December, there is need to start raising your own broilers no matter how small or big. You may decide to raise for your personal consumption or for you to generate substantial revenue.
Do you know it takes just 6-8 weeks to raise broilers from day old to maturity? Yes, but on one condition which is; good and adequate feeding and other management practices, including well-ventilated pens or cages. Never overstock to avoid overcrowding which limits the growth of your birds. To the main thing now. If you are interested in raising your own broilers for the forthcoming Christmas celebration or any other occasion in December then now is the time to start.

Prepare your cage or pen (it could be an abandoned room) to keep your birds
Get your broilers from a reputable seller (it is highly recommended)
Get enough feeds and water available
Feed the birds in the morning around 7.30 am and late in the afternoon 4pm and do not forget to provide enough water (broilers like to drink water lots of time)
Watch your birds grow big for your consumption.

TV/MoviesFour Reasons TV And DVD Will Go Into Extinction In Nigeria by ayodejy05(op): 3:59pm On Sep 09, 2014
I recently carried out a personal survey on how Nigerians are loyal to their TV and other multimedia set these days, and I found out that with time, people will no longer want to buy TV, home theatre and the likes. My reasons are as follows.

1. Virtually every youth including married women now watch movies on their mobile phones and tablets. In fact, it is only few that do watch on laptops. For instance, my sister has a lot of old and recent nollywood and ghollywood movies on her Galaxy S4. They keep her busy at her leisures and especially at night before sleeping. Her laptop is less useful to her anymore. Most of the videos I have on my blog were collected from her. I used my sister as an example but I have many friends and siblings both male and female that does this too; I included (lol).

2. The statistic of people downloading videos on my blog is very amazing. Can you imagine? I get an average of 300 downloads on a full video link converted for mobile phones (3gp and mp4) daily. Furthermore, most of the sources of IP were from blackberry, android tablets, and java devices while Blackberry tops the list (I guessed, it is because of enough data for download available to them).

3. Most people don't subscribe on their DSTV, MyTV, GoTV and the likes. Ask how did I know. I have gone to some people's house and I observed most of them have these things for decoration purpose or just for football purpose. Their children are no longer interested in them because they don't feel comfortable watching entertainment movies when their parents are there with them; majorly because of explicit scenes. So they prefer watching full explicit contents on their mobile gadgets and these are the reasons porns are booming these days.

4. Mobility and continuity is another great factor. You can take your favorite movies anywhere you go and you can continue your view whenever you wish to. In as much they are still intact on your mobile device. You cannot carry your TV, home theatre, or DVD all around and when electricity is taken by BEDC you cannot continue till they bring it back.

I personally spend few minutes with my TV and DVD while I spend hours on my mobile entertainment studio watching and listening to videos and music respectively.

Leave your opinions and contributions. I will like to know more. You can also check my signature below.
