BusinessRe: Starting a Business (For The Entrepreneurs) by ayodele123(m): 10:51am On Jan 31, 2012
Nigerians are not entrepreneurs. They are mainly copy cats who copy others businesses because they think it will profit them too.

An entrepreneur is an innovator, a problem solver. An entrepreneur scans the environment, identifies a problem that is yet to be solved and creates a business to provide the solution to the problem. An entrepreneur seeks better ways to do things by adding value to an existing product.

It is not by jumping into any business that we see others doing that we become entrepreneurs. It is by studying the market to see what problems are yet to be solved and how to solve them. For example, someone brought up the idea of how to package water. Adding value to an existing product.Packaged water is the product of an entrepreneurial mind. In some communities in Nigeria, there is no light at all in any form. What can you do as an entrepreneur to create a product that will address this issue for the residents in some way?

A Nigerian engineer created a phone charger which conserves energy for 30 days and can charge 4 mobile phones. The Phone charger itself is recharged once in 30 days. this is the product of an entrepreneurial mind.

Somebody starts a provision store. The next day, everyone in that locality will open a provision store. That is not the way to do business in this age.
There are needs to be filled and problems in the environment to solve.
BusinessRe: Starting A Cassava Farm by ayodele123(m): 2:44pm On Jan 26, 2012
Lease a hectare of land in Ogun state for N5k yearly.
Plant high yield cassava obtainable from IITA
Planting to Harvest is about 6-8 months.
A ton of cassava is sold on the farm price for N3k
A hectare will yield about 30 tons which is a trailer load.
3 tons of cassava will yield a ton of Gari
You can resell to large scale buyers in Lagos @ N9k per ton
The profit is N6k per ton.
You make much more money by processing the cassava into gari
A measure of Gari( 4 liter paint container) costs N300.00 post fuel subsidy(Lagos prices) .
How many measures can you derive from one ton of processed gari|?
You get about 8oo measures now retailing for N300.00, from a ton of processed gari
You will know that agriculture alone will wipe out unemployment in Nigeria for many generations to come if we go back to it.
Then, wonder why millions of educated Nigerians are still  roaming the streets and Internet forums looking for 'shirt and tie jobs' when there is Big Money in the Bush waiting to be harvested.
What are you waiting for?
Farming is the solution to unemployment
BusinessRe: I Want To Start Poultry Business Broiler Or Layer Which Is The Best? by ayodele123(m):

The fastest way to recoup your investment in poultry is broiler chicken farming.
Layer chicken will give you more money in the long run but is more stressing
BusinessRe: Profitable Businesses You Can Start With Little Capital. by ayodele123(m): 8:01am On Jan 24, 2012
I think we are all getting it wrong.
What amount of money can we term as little capital?
In presenting any business idea, you should include tha capital requirements of the idea starting on a small scale.
My business idea here is poultry farming.
If N100,000 can be regarded as little capital, you can start a micro farm in your house as follows:
If you have a space 12 feet square with good ventilation, set up with 60 day old broilers @ N150.00 each totalling N9000.00
The feeding requirement for 60 birds for 12 weeks is about N60,000-N70,000.00
Vaccine budget is N10,000.00. Farm equipment N3000.00.Miscellaneous N7000.00
Sell the birds at 12 weeks @ N2500 - N3000.00 especially during Xmas, especially in Lagos.
if you are targetting Xmas, start by mid september to first week October.
With a budget of N100,000 you can set up a micro-broiler farm in your backyard and 50-100% profit margin is very possible if you have good farm management techniques and marketing skills. Get more details from the signature below.
BusinessRe: Starting a Bicycle Factory in Nigeria by ayodele123(m): 3:08pm On Jan 04, 2012
The engine propelled bicycle advert that i saw some time ago was about a bicycle that can take just one litre of fuel to cover 40 kms.
This means N150.00 to cover 40kms.
this bicycle can carry only one person and very little luggage. Good for students and the low income working classes.
Another benefit is that it will not be stuck in traffic jams in cities like Lagos.
BusinessRe: Starting a Bicycle Factory in Nigeria by ayodele123(m): 1:26pm On Jan 04, 2012
Set up a bicycle factory but the market for bicycles is in the Northern Parts of Nigeria, not in the South.
However, with the recent increase in petrol prices from N65 to N150, it makes sense now to own a bicycle.
Make sure that the bicycle is the type that is propelled by an engine that can cover 40km per hour.
The leg pedalled type is obsolete and will not sell.

BusinessRe: Where Can I Get Internet Traffic In Nigeria? by ayodele123(m): 1:05pm On Jan 04, 2012

If you can buy traffic, you buy targetted traffic, not any kind of traffic.
What is the project about?
BusinessRe: Gospel Truth Pls, Are There Genuine Online Biz That Work In Nigeria? by ayodele123(m): 1:02pm On Jan 04, 2012
The best that works well in Nigeria is information marketing.
The key is your ability to know what people are searching for and provide the needed information for them.
BusinessRe: What Can I Do With 3million by ayodele123(m): 12:56pm On Jan 04, 2012
Try poultry business for egg production
The market for eggs in Nigeria is very large and demand inelastic.
The poultry business is risky but very profitable.
A healthy layer chicken lays eggs every 24-36 hours i.e. an egg daily or 2 eggs in 3 days and an average of 5-6 eggs per week.
A single layer will lay 260 to 280 eggs yearly valued at N7800 to N8400.00 ( an egg costs N30.00 in Nigeria)
For further details of the income arithmetics, check the web address below

BusinessRe: Start A Business With #100,000 - How Possible? by ayodele123(m): 12:36pm On Jan 04, 2012
It is not the amount of money that matters but the business idea, your determination and motivation to succeed in business.
The biz idea must be meeting a need and solving a problem.
With N100,000 try backyard poultry farming biz, GSM Accessories biz, cement sales biz, book selling biz, waste disposal biz.
Scan your environment. What are the problems people are facing now? What is the solution? Set up a business to provide the solution.
PoliticsRe: Stop Moaning... Petrol Is 326.21 Naira a litre in the UK! by ayodele123(m): 11:28am On Jan 03, 2012
PMS cost N0.20kobo per litre in 1985 and the removal of fuel subsidies began in 1986 during the Babangida regime
Today it is N65 now increased to N150.00 per litre.
We are tired of,and fed up with the FG's usual, old and recycled stories and promises of palliative measures.
Where are the promised palliative measures since 1986?
There is no functional mass transit system in Nigeria, africa's largest oil producer. No functioning railway system in Nigeria.
It is in Nigeria that tomatoes, cows and onions have to be transported by road all the way from Kano and Sokoto to Lagos and other cities in the south and petrol, diesel and kerosene have to be transported from NNPC's depots in the South to far flung areas across the country, by road in tankers. It is very much annoying that after 50 years of independence,we are still in this mess as a nation. The problem is that of corruption and mismanagement of national resources.
It is not wrong to remove oil subsidies but the reason why we it is opposed in Nigeria is because the government has always failed to invest the proceeds in infrastructures that will impact on the common man. the economic condition of the average Nigerian has always progressively worsened.
Since 1986,when the removal of subsidies began, there has been no significant improvement in health care system.
In fact i recall November 2005,at Ijebu Ode General Hospital in the south of Nigeria when i visited an accident victim. The doctor prescribed a list of about 12 drugs for treatment. When we got to the hospital pharmacy unit, there was not a single drug in the list that was available despite having the money to pay for them. Even Paracetamol was not available. We had to buy the drugs from a pharmacy outside the hospital. Now,what kind of health care system is this in a country that is immensely rich and has oil resources? The money earned from the removal will end up being looted by the few which has always been the case since 1986.
The approved minimum wage of N18,000 is yet to be paid by many of the state governments in Nigeria, yet cost of PMS has increased over 100%.
Even the minimum wage affects only civil servants who are less than 1% of the entire populace.  So,who is the FGN fooling?
Yet we have World bank technocrats in charge of the economy.
The only hope for the common man  is the NLC which is the only forum that can mobilise Nigerians for an effective protest.
We hope that our goodluck will not turn to badluck!
This Oil wey we get sef, na goodluck or badluck so?
In a few years, there will be another fuel subsidy removal again. When will this end? Is there no permanent solution?

Really i do not understand their internet plan.
I tested it with N100.00 per day plan about 5 times
Each time,I did not get any message confirming the connection quite unlike Zain which i am familiar with.
Within 30 minutes, the connection to the internet for 24 hours was exhausted within 30 minutes without any downloads.
I dont understand them.
For the moment, am OK with Multilinks and Zain
LiteratureRe: Help With Book Publishing by ayodele123(m): 6:37pm On Dec 15, 2011
Forget this archaic publishing system that tosses you around like a ball.
Publish your works on Amazon Kindle.
Amazon will do all the marketing for you and send your royalties to you in Nigeria.
With them, your intellectual property is safe, very safe unlike here.
