In developed countries, they don't even give you change, you have to pay exact fare or you lose your change if you pay more. So if the fare is $2 and you give $5, you just lost $3, if you decide to take the ride. And it doesn't matter if you have $100 and the fare is only $2. No change and that is that.

Well, people buy tickets. I’ve lived in Moscow, Russia, the transport was mostly paid by card (cash was useless, I didn’t even have cash for almost 6months), their electrobus which is found everywhere only uses card and nobody checks. But, some buses still take some small small routes and they accept cash (you’ll be handed change).

I currently live in one of the countries you listed above and visited another one of them, I paid with cash and received change

Even though I'm a born again Christian, I think we Christians should be ashamed of ourselves for heating up the polity unnecessarily. I completely agree with you. I have a couple of friends here in Europe getting the money and they still love the feeling. I’m one of the beneficiaries too and I still feel happy when the money enters (although, it’s all given out).

I’m on a work visa plus I got the visa outside Nigeria (had my masters here). The visa process is quite easy from here. I mean, I checked for the appointment date on a Sunday afternoon and there was an option to select Monday as the submission day.
