Nah, I barely used two lines and referenced the books that 'assumption' was based on. You couldn't help yourself, seeing an Ayọmide answer that question triggered whatever bigotry exists inside of you. Please stay triggered.

Lol. See a Yoruba woman telling Igbos about their culture.

Igbos are saying what is obtainable but see how you garnish and laced it with obvious obfuscation to make it appetizing to your gullible readers.

Readers note::
The aforementioned union is based solely on procreation not romance between a woman and another woman.

It had to be you the Igbo person ignoring the question asked but romanticizing my answer and accusing me of doing so.

Where in particular in Igbo land was that culture practiced?
For what purpose?
If that had continued, would there still be Ndigbo today?
Please answer the questions...

Rich powerful women got married to young girls, the young girls could take lovers and birth children but the woman was the head of the home and also very respected. It was highlighted in the books of some famous Igbo authors, Buchi Emecheta. It is also still practiced in some parts of rural East Africa. I love this part of history.

That is no reason to shoot directly at protesters in my humble opinion. Someone being shot in the chest area creates an impression. If you're invited to maintain peace and enforce a curfew, bullets should be the last on the consideration list of the rules of engagement.

The sight of a military truck full of soldiers is enough to make most people scamper for safety anyway. Unfortunately, the Governor has no control over the rules of engagement. Besides, the shooting happened before the curfew commenced.

I wish that the youth had listened to wise counsel for them to retreat and restrategise once the FG accepted their request. Sometimes you have to retreat to fight greater battles and win the war.

Yorubas say "moja, mosa la fi nmo akinkanju ogun". (Not sure I got it perfectly right.)

Oh, they accepted their requests quite alright. Look how well behaved the police is today. Look how many souls the police handed flowers instead of billets right after SARS was disbanded. All those reports of SARS being back on the road that is just photoshopped for propaganda.

I never posted on any of my social media pages about the endsars protest, not because I wasn’t in sympathy with protesters but because of their myopic reason for the agitation. Yes, the protest started as endsars after several derogatory rep noorts about the sars people. My displeasure was why keep a protest of such magnitude as just endsars, endpolice brutality with little or no publicity or protest against the major and fundamental problem...BAD GOVERNANCE, CORRUPTION, NEPOTISTIC AND MEDIOCRE APPOINTMENTS in government parastatals. which birth the unprofessionalism in sars. how could you narrow a movement of such magnitude to endsars. All over western media it was about Nigerians protesting against police brutality instead of bad and corrupt governance . Even the corrupt Nigerian politicians were supporting the endsars movement instead of being in hiding because of possible jungle justice on them by the youth. Trust me, it was an opportunity to make the government sit up and paint a bad picture of governance in Nigeria in its entirety to the world even if they know already, but we threw it away. Well, we may have another chance to right it and have a movement of such momentum but it will take a long time because the corrupt elites or cabals will not be this complacent to be beaten twice.

Your opinion was clearly not missed in the Endsars agitation. There are no professional 'protesters', no professional protests, simply put: there is no syllabus on how to protest. So it is best to say you can begin your ideal protests as you deem convenient.

It's the audacity for me, coming to a thread where a worthless leader disputes how many were killed to give your opinion on 'what we should have done'. The damned audacity.

No. Don't change the Narrative.

During the protests, police shot and killed protesters at Surulere protesting police brutality. Assaulted women and protesters in Abuja and Lagos. Nothing got worse because we protested, it only highlighted very strongly the need to completely overhaul the police system. And based on the events of 20:10:20, a complete overhaul of a worthless and insensitive government.

Have all the gains of endsars not been completely lost now? Are you still protesting? No are you still in control of the toll gate no ? Has security force brutality stopped ? No it's even worse now ... Are are you safer now ? Hell no ... You say nothing compares to human life and I completely agree but the action of refusing to suspend the protest when your demand was met led to loss of more lives and property and caused unbearable suffering on Nigerians

Now you contradict yourself, if our demands were met then, how is police brutality worse now.

If it ever stopped, how could it get worse now ?

We are not going to fall for cheap and useless responses. Let it be known now that the relax on the protest is only temporary. A revolution has started and no man born of a woman would stop this move.

I would never allow anyone denigrate the peaceful protests that held in Nigeria for 13 whole days without incidents.

That Title is a deliberate attempt to make the sacrifices of young people all this time as nothing.

You were attacked by Hoodlums. Hoodlums hired by the government that they can no longer control. Not Protesters.

such thing is bound to happen.

Let me frankly tell you
there's nothing like activism in Nigeria
or let's say we have few real activists
everyone is looking for a way to cash out
that's what caused the problem and the ones that felt they've cheated sided with the government to truncate the protest.
remember the government hands was tied because of the manner and how organised the protest was.
since my life I've never seen police done out anti protest equipments like water tanks
tear gas is a daily accessories
but they used genuine anti protest equipment to do it.
the protest started gaining ground and international presence hence the government had to do something to protect their images including posible visa ban.
but since they can't use force yet. they hired thugs to attack protesters but failed and the protest gained more sympathy. then they resorted in giving the dog a bad name before killing it. that's why they hired tugs to start destruction and unrest so to give reasons to use force because they feel that that's the only way to get them protesters off the street.
the rest was history.

my point is that selfish interests of the youths are mainly what destroyed the protests.
the government e-trolls started their usual old tactics which is tribalism and that brought division and boom everything went tribal.
Nigerians nearly got it right because the ruling class was scared like shit because they never imagined that temporary unity among the youths across various tribes
but greed of the youths especially those that worked for them destroyed it.

I'm afraid to say this we've lost this country forever infact the way I'm seeing it it'll be difficult for a southerner to get power again because we're terribly divided more than ever now.

sometimes I'm forced to believe the conspiracy theory of the North using this tactic to keep power forever

Your analysis is flawed. We were gunned down and morale has taken a plunge. But 'lost this country forever' is a stretch I would not consider. We just got our voices and our country back. If it would not work with the north, we go our separate ways.

Really funny.

Nigerians have blown an opportunity that might take over a decade to present itself again. We should have cashed out when the fruits were ripe, but we allowed them to rot away on the trees.

Now, the goodwill the people had for the protest has been lost, so much so that SagaLink and Aisha Yosufu are throwing subtle shades at each other.

So saddening.

That is your warped opinion. We lost no golden opportunity, we are not out. Not lost. And this is not over. Now, go with your pessimistic spirit and influence your kind.

10mobile:
This #EndSARS protest is beginning to spiral out of control. Joblessness is the main thing fueling it now. It's only those who don't have jobs that are still forceful about it. In other words, criminal elements are beginning to hijack it. The law-abiding citizens are beginning to think about their businesses/jobs.

You all heard how some people broke into a correctional facility in Edo State and freed prisoners. Soon, the criminal elements (who would be more than happy to see everywhere up in flames) would start breaking into shops and homes to steal and kill or to rob on the streets, using the lacuna left by police absence. Some ex-SARS operatives (who must be lacking money now that they're disbanded) will regroup and begin to rob. THEN, THE GOVERNMENT WILL SEE REASONS TO USE FORCE ON THE PROTESTERS AND WILL BE JUSTIFIED BY THE WORLD. This way, the youths would have lost all the gains of the protest.

WHAT TO DO?
I suggest that YOU back out of the protest for now. The Nigerian youths have made their presence felt and their voices heard. A wise performer leaves the stage when the ovation is high. Let's not allow bad eggs to spoil our achievements so that we can successfully build on this in subsequent months and years. Let's not give the Devil (that is, FG) a foothold against us (cf. Eph. 4:27).

You no reach to end these protests. Return the money to the person that paid you, Òmùgọ!
