My take... Age shouldn't be an issue as long as your partner is matured enough and syncs with you. Age five years and above, however, should be a no-no.
There ain't no way a lady six, seven years older than you will come out good(I think)

Well, aside my layers,one of my neighbours hens laid n hatched its eggs in my compound a while ago. Long story short, they r now fully grown chickens and 2 of the 5 chicks decided to stay back wit me... All I did was get two make noilers. I saw a friend trying to cross breed and the result was wonderful.

I feel on the mortality rate of Agric chickens. You go to sleep one night, the next morning, you will wake up to a dead chicken laying sideways, flat in the cage. It can be very depressing sometimes. But local chickens rarely die once they reach maturity and if there is no serious prey around.

I've come to realise that stress is a major factor in this mortality rate... Especially stress from heat and sometimes, over crowding.

With the right balance, the agric birds are still kind of... Manageable

I'm a poultry farmer myself.
I've done broilers in the past but I do layers now majorly because of their egg production.
The most annoying part of reading these birds is their high mortality rate. Even when you do your best in paying attention to every detail about them, u can never count out the possibility of going to bed on a day with all your birds alive and we'll only to find one either sick or dead by the next morning.
Yes... Certain factors cause these..
Too much heat or too much cold , too much fat or lack of nutrients..etc.
How about the locals?
So a neighbour's hen laid in my compound and eventually raised her five chicks successfully to maturity in my compound(guess they stayed cos I have a poultry for layers). While I lose some of my birds, the locals were never sick and never died despite the fact that [b]a major part of their meals come from the faeces of my layer birds [/b]after I've either washed the poultry or mixed the faeces with soil for fertilization of the soil.
A friend showed me a way to make the locals bigger though by cross-breeding d with noilers. But in such cases, they don't usually hatch more than two birds per season.

Not everyone is enjoying/enduring same situations. It takes a lot for a person to come forward and ask for help let alone publicly - on nairaland.
I don't think up to 30 percent o teachers are happy teaching in Nigeria.

Some decoders behave like that.
What you need to do is to connect it to an already installed setup but if you can't get one, just make sure your connections are ok and track a simple sat like 36e. If you get it, then you're good to go.

Good moening house. I've just got a strong SRT 4954 decoder but I'm -aving troubles with the installation. 0roblem is... The quality is 91% while the signal strength is 0%. I find this completely abnormal. Do you think the decoder might be the problem? Thanks
