i don't want to believe a sane person said the below
In the case of Chukwuemeka Ezeuko (Rev. King), the group argued that he is being persecuted in Nigeria because he is an Igboman.
“His trial was quickly rushed without fair hearing just to maintain a groups’ interest of Yoruba Pentecostal Christian leadership who saw Rev. king as an obstacle to their domination of Pentecostal Churches in Nigeria”, MASSOB insisted
Is the Ann he killed not also Igbo? So u still believe a sane person can come from that cave? U are on a long thing! |

nosike3: Hey nairalanders! I hope this topic is in the right place? Alright! Here's the story, I work in a pharmaceutical company and our boss is an Indian who has been in Nigeria for more than 20 years!! I think since 1992! He's the best boss a man can ask for and equally a great pet lover! He has 3 dogs. So 2 weeks ago, one of his dogs was very sick and died while he was at work; he became extremely moody which was so unlike him; speaking in English unlike his constant reference to yoruba and pidgin. One of my colleagues then told him to' get over it, shey na just dog na' and for the first time I saw anger blazing literally from his eyes. He sent him out and was very cold to him since then. Today, he fired him just like that! So so surprised and shocked!! Is this really worth it?? I love dogs! But isn't this extreme? Cc lalasticlala et all Some indians worship animals.......he might be one of them. |

lyntiffany: Alright I understand the angle your coming from but I stand to disagree with you on the part " government has no businesses doing business" From op's write up I was meant to understand that this industries was built by the past administration in the 80's all they need is just to be revamped which is not asking too much and which if am not wrong was put up by the past government. I know of the sunshine batteries in essien udim, that battery industry occupies a large hectare of land and is situated in a strategic position which is an added advantage. I am not of the opinion he should revamp all but at least two that can go in hand with the structures he had put up which you know wil attract more investors to the State He should have done it and curb the crime rate that is sprouting daily in the state. Govt can revive all these ailing industries and privatise them, for private investors to manage, while the state govt control some stakes or shares in it |

Politics › Re: Niger Delta, Biafra And The Nigeria State by Ayus34(m): 1:17pm On May 13, 2015 |
barcanista: POST 1999 What is Good For The SW Is Not Good For The SS? Six months after President Obasanjo took over power, he moved the Headquarters of Nigeria Ports Authority(NPA) and a maritime agency (now NIMASA) to Lagos without waiting for approval of the National Assembly. The excuse is that Lagos is the home of the Ports.
However, the NNPC has its Headquarters in Abuja. Obasanjo never considered it wise to relocate the Agency to the Oil Producing Niger Delta. The Headquarters of the major oil companies are in Lagos and not in Portharcourt, Warri or Uyo. Yet, no one is talking about it. While the FCT Ministry is located in Abuja, the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs is not anywhere in the Niger Delta but still in Abuja.
When the NDDC was birthed in 2000, Obasanjo allocated a meagre N700m to the "intervention agency". Yet, he allocated N1.5billion each for the reconstruction or repairs of Ogunpa River/stream in Ibadan town of Oyo state and the Lagos beach in Lagos.
2005 and 2014 Political Conferences In 2005 Constitutional Conference, the Niger Delta delegation had to stage a walk-out because their demand for 50% revenue allocation and Resource control was flatly rejected by non SS/SE delegation. In the 2014 Confab, the demand for 50% Oil derivation was resisted by the non SS/SE delegates. The Confab ended without reaching an agreement on that.
What Next For The Niger Delta? The time has come for the people of the Niger Delta region to decide their fate and end the cycle of complaints/agitation. Political restructuring and demand for Resource Control and nothing less than 50% derivation should be pursued and must be accepted by the Nigeria State if the Unity of Nigeria is to be maintained. In absence of this, a referendum to determine whether or not we want to remain within the entity called Nigeria must be held.
The Biafran/Lower Niger Republic It is true that some of our fathers resisted the Ojukwu led 1967 Biafran state due to unknown fear. However, time have proved that the fears of our fathers aren't justified. Hence, we can't hold on to the position. The Igbo nation has over the years shown brotherhood and are ever ready for a united mutually benefitting front. I believe a United Biafran State or Lower Niger Republic with clear understanding of structure and autonomy of every ethnic groups that makes up the state is a welcome development and the way forward for our people rather than continuous whining under this present arrangement. The right of the few that believe in the present arrangement shall be respected but every attempt for these group to suppress the voice of the majority that are poor and oppressed shall be resisted.
The Goodluck Jonathan Question(?) For 5years Jonathan has been in power, he and other Niger Delta political leaders had erroneously assumed that better things can be got by maintaining the status quo. They maintained the status quo because it benefited them and in order to appear "nationalistic", but the events leading to March 28 proved to them all that "that was a wrong approach". The time has come for a change.
God Bless Niger Delta Please quickly take the real step of separating from d country, infact 100% resource control will not be good for niger delta.....just call for total separation and i promise i will always be do everything under tge law to make it a reality for u guyz.....afterall AWO defined nigeria as a mere geographical region but ur short sighted azikwe objected it and ganged up with the same tribe u guyz hate today........even personally im tired of nigeria with Igbos sharing the same nationality.......the greatest problem A nation could ve is to ve Igbos as neighbour or nationals!anyleader against the breakage of the useless country will be put to shame IJN! |
