proxitaly: yes EUROBOMBER: Fellow Nigerians, I have taken time to study recent happenings in our nation before and after the elections and I have come to conclude that there is a grand plan to start some kind of war in Nigeria. Some people thought that the last presidential election was going to be the last straw to break the camel's back but are still in shock that the presidential election has been conducted and Nigeria is still at peace even with the incumbent losing the election. Discerning minds can see that a pattern has been set to overheat the system especially by generating so much hatred and tension between the Igbo and the Yoruba. The rate at which it is going it is looking like one week one trouble. The pattern is that there is usually a provocative comment (alleged or true) made by a prominent Yoruba and somehow this is fed to the public and when the get to know of such comments, they become overwhelmed with anger. Just check: Before all these started, recall that a Twitter account was identified where a young man was calling for the killing of all the Igbos. Now I believe that the picture shown on that twitter account might even be that of someone that died many years ago. That twitter account was most likely created by the wicked forces outside Nigeria that intend to spark of a bloody ethnic conflict in Nigeria. 1. The case of the Yoruba Oba of Lagos-HRH Oba Akiolu where the Igbos were threatened with death in the Lagos lagoon. 2. The case of the Yoruba cardiologist in the US where a call for genocide against the Igbo was seen on his facebook page. (He says his account was hacked) 3. Most recently the case of the Yoruba Nobel Laureate-Prof Wole Soyinka released by the Cables revealing some provocative comments about the Igbo. I want every intelligent mind to observe this, in the case of Dr Ariyo, he said his account was hacked and I am inclined to believe that this is true. The people behind this agenda to set Nigeria on fire are most likely the same people that used his facebook account to post such hate words against the Igbo. These are the same people that opened that twitter account I mentioned earlier where a call to kill all Igbos was made. Look at the case of Prof Wole Soyinka too, how can an organisation like the Cable release such hate speech and tagging it to this man if not that some powerful forces were behind such. It is this same group of people that want Nigerians to start killing one another that used the Cables site to release that speech. Wole Soyinka himself has denied ever making such comments. My Igbo and Yoruba brothers, please wake up and see that there are powerful forces pulling the strings underground to cause hatred between us and the agenda is to take it to a level where it will be too much to bear and violence would be the only solution. The forces behind this ultimately want a massive show of bloodshed in Nigeria starting with the Igbo vs Yoruba. Some people initially thought that the boko haram problem up north would start a religious war in Nigeria especially when churches were been blown to pieces every week but that failed. They later on resorted to attacking Muslims in the north even in their mosques to see if that would anger the muslims enough to start a massive campaign of violence against Christians but that also failed. Let us all be wise and open our eyes, these forces plotting to plunge Nigeria into war are likely operating outside Nigeria. The boko haram option in Northern Nigeria failed to start the needed Christian vs Muslim war and boko haram is gradually winding down activities. Let us continue to pray for this nation and keep our emotions in check so that we do not witness a sort of bloodshed in this country that would be second to none in history. These evil forces have now shifted their attention to the Southern part of Nigeria and intend to start a campaign of massive bloodshed by starting a violent Igbo vs Yoruba conflict. We are too big to start a bloody confrontation against ourselves in this country, where do we run to for refuge? The numbers in Lagos alone can overwhelm Cotonou and even Ghana/Togo with a massive influx of refugees. How much refugees can flee through Bakassi? How much refugees can flee from the North into Niger Republic & Chad? Just with the boko haram problem Niger is already complaining and sending backing Northern Nigerian refugees. This is the only county we have and we must do all we can to protect this country and ensure progress & development. This message is especially for all the Igbos & Yorubas whose hearts have now been darkened and filled with so much anger and hate waiting to manifest. Let us put the evil ones to shame and ensure that their dream of an Igbo-Yoruba war does not come to pass! GOD BLESS NIGERIA! Solidly in support of this....it will be a disgrace to us all if nigeria of anytribe cannot resolve our differences amicably and plan a way to a successful future WE ARE TOO BIG TO FAIL GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!! |

Politics › Re: Ogoni Nation Will Not Support Lower Niger Delta Of Nigeria's Secession Bid by Ayus34(m): 12:08pm On May 07, 2015 |
barcanista: @OP: First, you have expressed an opinion which I respect and believe falls within your right. However, I will want to respond to some issues which I think is malicious and very far from the truth...
Neither the Ijaws nor any ethnic group in the Niger Delta benefitted from Jonathan's government save the politicians and so-called militants. In fact, it was a case of Jonathan mslapping us with peanuts and not what we deserve.(in his own case a better peanut).
Jonathan was more interested in power than the emancipation of the Delta until it dawned on him that the Northern elite are resolved to return power to their region. It is a known fact that the last National Conference was an insult to our collective intelligence. The demand for Resource Control/50% Revenue on Oil and gas was killed and was never even considered. To show that Jonathan does not know what he was doing, he failed to give the Confab a legal framework that will see the reports go through a referendum for adoption.
The APC as a party is filled with people whose antecedents we shouldn't even be discussing. People that in saner climes should be in jail. But what happened? Some people took advantage of the situation to form a consortium just to tell Jonathan that he isn't going for second term and they remain the "godfathers". However, the voting pattern of March 28 shows that the unity of this country is FAR from the truth. We have fundamental structural flaws which I believe must be addressed if we are to progress as a nation. If this can't be addressed, then the call for referendum should be the next legitimate call. Niger Delta struggle does not start and end with Jonathan's ambition.
I respect the right for the Ogoni nation to stand alone and I am 100% in support of a federating unit exclusively for Ogoni nation. I believe the right to self-determination of ethnic nationalities should be respected if we are to achieve peace. However, I believe that the unity of the SE/SS bloc should be seen as a welcome development for our collective progress. Any ethnic group that feel the need not to be a part can pull out and stand on their own. I believed its high time u guys should start acting the talk not just talk the talk......but same APC u almost died for not quite long.....truely a man without integrity is not worth living! |

kenonze: From the eve of independence, he led the Action Group as the Leader of the Opposition in the federal parliament, leaving Samuel Ladoke Akintola as the Western Region Premier. Serious disagreements between Awolowo and Akintola on how to run the Western region led the latter to an alliance with the Tafawa Balewa-led NPC federal government. A constitutional crisis led to the declaration of a state of emergency in the Western Region, eventually resulting in a widespread breakdown of law and order.
Excluded from national government, Awolowo and his party faced an increasingly precarious position. Akintola's followers, angered at their exclusion from power, formed the Nigerian National Democratic Party (NNDP) under Akintola's leadership. Having previously suspended the elected Western Regional Assembly, the federal government then reconstituted the body after manoeuvres that brought Akintola's NNDP into power without an election. Shortly afterwards Awolowo and several disciples were arrested, charged, convicted (of treason),[8] and jailed for conspiring with the Ghanaian authorities under Kwame Nkrumah to overthrow the federal government.[9] The remnants of the Action Group fought the national election of 1965 in alliance with the largely Igbo, and south-eastern NCNC. Amid accusations of fraud from the NCNC-AG camp, the NPC-NNDP won the election; the AG supporters reacted with violent riots in some parts of the Western region. Awolowo was later freed by the military administration of General Yakubu Gowon who subsequently appointed him Federal Commissioner for Finance and Vice-President of the Federal Executive Council. This took place in the unsettled circumstances immediately preceding the Civil War. thank God for his arrest, remember the coup that killed akintola the traitor, and the northern leaders the tormentors would 've affect him as well.....but God used the prison to save awo. ....there is opportunity in adversity! |

Good ! I love this.. This was what I didn't want to be the first to say.. We are not brothers, the one Nigeria gist is a tale for housemaids.. It's only sad that you're just saying this now, instead of far back in 1999.. My people back in the south are illiterate and cannot see beyond what's fed to them on newspapers and radio.. They still believe the one nigeria dream and would still vote your brother in the next elections.. I know things are not quite different in the east too Jonathan failed everyone south of the Niger and if I were his brother, I would flog him.. But nothing spoil sha.. He's outta there and your brother is there now, even if he's in assistant slot he can still swing things.. But i will make it very clear to you that this elections have made things very clear to Nigerians, that a new era of ethnic nationalism has been born, where everyman would decide his own fate.. In 2019, the Yorubas would want power back, I hope they have sufficient numbers because the day the Youruba man goes to meet the Igbo man for votes, it would be similar to the rat meeting the cat for a matchbox. The prospect of a stronger alliance with the North is very appealing, but you know your tribe cannot do that without the south being put in play.. Long live the protectorate of the Niger. Personally i am tired of this Nigeria bullshít I think u didn't know history. ....I can tell it to Ur face that the east has never support the west before and after the civil war....infact the same north u guys are rejecting today has been Ur political partner even before independence and reason Ur lord ojukwu was compensated with a ceremonial post.....even Ur warlord supported shagari and babangida....so I don't understand what I mean by seeking political assistant from you,the relationship that has never and will never exist? this will be the only time in history that a Yoruba formed party aligned with a northern party and Ur party was also invited which u refused because of Ur hatred....while azikwe aligned with NORTHERN PEOPLE'S CONGRESS,awolowo was satisfied with Action Group....so I didn't see the alliance u re talking about.....thank God same Nigeria u are tired of today, azikwe brought us into this mess despite awo going against it and even qualifying it with a mere geographical region and even suggested any aggieved region should be allow to separate without war through our constitution which Ur same son azikwe objected far there in UK,before ojukwu saw it and fought a senseless, unplanned war.......brother go back to Ur history book and not what Ur aggrieved father is telling you! |

When you were a student if you lived on campus and wanted to run for an elected post would you see the need to campaign in your own room? or in your own block? GEJ wanted to return by all means, probably then he would develop his south but then he misread the game. He thought we were all brothers down south, that we would stand by him for his last stand. He focused on the North thinking they were the only people to be appeased but he didnt know that we had real fifth columnists down south. Like you said, he didn't do anything in your area, and that is a very valid point. He trusted you, thinking you could read beyond the news, thinking you could read his mind but he was wrong, he was a novice.
We southerners are angry at Jonathan because he did not correct the imbalances between north and south. If the north had massively voted for Jonathan and we in the south voted him out, it would have been more comprehensible and easier to take. Not the fact that the ones he trusted played the Infidel card on him.. so sad
We must learn a lesson from the sad tale of GEJ, no group is expendable. And the Hausas are not our rulers. Nobody has the birth right to rule so is this Ur valid reason he should fail to perform for good six years.....because he expect me to wait for 6yrs after neglect. ....because he want to appease the north?he should ve leave the income of the region for that same period so that he can be busy with the north, not rubbing peter to pay Paul.......and also please get it clear Jonathan is and will never be my brother,I'm a yoruba man to the core, while he is an ijaw man....we ve nothing in common, and nothing like one south unlike the north.....so my loyalty is not to him,cox d south cannever and will never be one,so let address ourselves as one Nigeria for the main time and if the one Nigeria cannot work.....let the separation begin and we can see ourselves as neighboring country. .....I can't be one with a tribe that will not respect my culture! |

Buhari Presidency is a product of propaganda and I wait to see him sustain his government with propaganda. The core north wanted one of their own to take back 'their' power. The person was Buhari. Tinubu keyed into the plan out of his own design to pull the rug from their feet when the time comes. He supplied the propaganda machinery in the south west, the Imams finished the job for him in the north. The rest is history as both partied had gotten what they wanted.
Sit back and watch the unfolding drama. It is a shame that when we want to make progress as a country, an event will take us back to where we started from.
President Jonathan has done his bit to Nigeria. He is not a saint and has his failings as man but history is going to and have started judging him rightly.
