what rubbish well u are entitled to ur opinion. ...but the fact still remain that the president was booed! u can call anyone in OAU to confirm, that's if u care .....the post of the president is subject to scrutiny, that doesn't mean he was disrespected and if u don't want any public criticism, then stay away from public position and don't contest, but the moment u decided to do so,then expect public outcry if u are not on the right track.......mind u even Jesus Christ was condemned. .....so who are u,to judge people's reaction from ur sentimental angle?remember some of this students voted for Jonathan 2011,and they ve right to ask him what he did and doing with their votes, afterall if u gave a child money to do something for u,u will need to hear the results, unless u proved to us that it's only ur vote that brought Jonathan to power ,but if u can't do that please and please KEEP SHUT! !! |

generaldre: Just I said yesterday in my post "AS GEJ STORMS OAU" OAU Students gave GEJ d treatment meted against OBJ. We're non-partisan but we support anyone with good credentials and leaders. We booed GEJ and we made sure he heard us. Inspite of the tight security, we blocked the road and made sure our letter got to him personally by hand before he left. He came to have meeting with council of obesity and shared money to them. Other politicians were there too. I sighted two sons of Obanikoro, PDP chairman (Adamy Muazu) and others. All in all, GEJ saw in people's eyes that we didn't like him. of the GREATEST IFE!!! either we like it or not OAU students will never accept mediocrity, it's not their fault, just the way we were trained as a student of OAU....I remembered the days of SABURI,Ribadu will never forget the punishment meted on him, when he was told to go turn back from the gate and he proved to be stubborn, even as strong as OBJ he did everything to desist from coming to ife, even when invited on some occasions .......the learned students knows when u re a performer or not....this is not about sentiment. ....but about the general well being of the people u re voted to serve....mind u OAU is an institution build on a socialist ideology and GEJ shows to be the direct opposite,a typical capitalist, where only the rich are profiting and exploiting even from the poor day in day out.....so it's understandable when students of a great citadel of learning refused and rejected a govt of the rich, for the rich and from the rich! on this case I'm proud of the students of the ONLY AFRICA UNIVERSITY (OAU) on this lofty achievement!!! |

soroptimist: Coming from accursed Femi Aribisala,it might even have come from Femi Fani Kayode but the fact remains that Tinubu's political sagacity can not be understood by lowlifers and children of hate across the Niger who wants to help the bereaved cry more than themselves
To the political lilliputs and infants on NL.........in the past political blocs or alliance amongst the regions and zones have always been the basis of how political parties gets votes
The North+The SE+SS have always been political bed fellows........while the SW+NC have always gone together.......that was why Pa Awolowo couldn't become the President because the Igbos have always aligned with the Hausa they insult today to edged Awolowo out knowing fully well that they too cant deliver the Presidency to any of their sons like Azikiwe
Awolowo in 1979 didnt even mind nominating a VP candidate or becoming one to Azikiwe in order for the SE and SW to merge politically despite the fact that Awo's AG or UPN always have more votes and seats in the parliament than Ziks party yet out of shear political rivalry Zik refused to accede to Awo's proposal to even play the 2nd fiddle to him but went into alliance with the North( severally from the 60s.......yet they pretend we dont know history or probably have forgotten)
Those who have read history will know where the concept of 'Being the beautiful bride' of Nigerian politics comes from or who said so
The Northerners were pulling Zik and his party on one hand while Awo/UPN was also asking for an alliance between both parties in order to confine the "core North into political irrelevance" but Zik shunned Awo and allegedly even leaked the letter Awo wrote to him detailing the schematics of the working agreement he was proposing to the press
The SW political gladiators like Tinubu having read history very well and discovered where Baba Awo couldn't succeed knew that in order for the SW to play Nationally away from the perennial opposition tag we had always carried all these years. Possible outcomes that can make such aspiration possible is to Form a political alliance with one of the 2 major ethnic group (1) Igbos (2) Hausas as no major tribe can single handedly deliver the Presidency unto itself
As things stands, the perennial rivalry of the Igbos with the Yorubas wont make them forge an allianace with the SW whereas the North is pragmatic,open-minded and very astute when it comes into forming political alliance
Tinubu's master-stroke of shooting down Mulikat Akande's PDP aspiration( which ACN is not hell-bound to go along with) has healed whatever old wound existing between the North and the SW........whereas the SE have simply replace the SW in the war of ego with the North.....who they used to be in bed with politically before but now insult because GEJ is now the President( i wonder what they will do when GEJ finishes his tenure in 2015 worst 2019( i even heard them saying GEJ should hand over to them) as if GEJ will point a gun at the heads of the SWners and Hausas they insult and deride to vote for their candidate
That is why people like me have been preaching politics of bridge-building and not ethnoreligious bigotry especially being championed by the people across the Niger knowing fully well that our political paths might cross in the near future but it seems some dont even care if the future dont come hence they are trying to turn everyone into enemies
Whatever anybody may say Tinubu has strengthened the respect SWners used to have politically.......the role he is likely to play in who will get the APC ticket is apt as the zone remains the single strongest unified region in the APC
Yoruba folks should not let charlatans like Femi Aribisala obfuscate issues that are clear to us based on historical antecedents of all political regions and ethnic groups classic!!! |

This is the conclusive reason why individuals who claim they have built good things elsewhere 'oddly' seem incapable of doing so at home. I don't get how some people have no shame at all. You will use outright lies and fallacies to proclaim you have done this and own that yet you can never reproduce such in your own traditional abode where it is most needed. Sadly for deluded fools, we live in an information age and it is very easy today to discredit liars and empty braggarts as I have done here with relative ease. some uneducated people derive joy in spreading false news and showing unreasonable pride......London as at today is not mainly developed by the whites, infact all race in the world contributed to the growth of that city and they never lay claim to the success and take the kudos away from whom it's due to which are the indigenes, it's only take a fool to leave his home on comfort and go to another man's land if there is nothing good or a potential for personal growth. ....they failed to understand the history of Yoruba in the area of urbanization, just because of their hatred ... reason the only honest prayer I perform everyday is the total breakup of this jungle called Nigeria....it is on record that even before amalgamation, Lagos was the most developed part of Niger area as it was called then (Lagos colony).....no matter urs level of contribution to another man's land,u must appreciate the indigenous because the gave u the peaceful envirmoment u are operating daily......they can as well go to kano, ph and kaduna to.replicate same, especially in the north if they can dare to dare the rampage north, who take no shit! I can now reach a logical conclusion that u a re real fool! how on earth will u call me a dumb just because I decided to chose a path different from a myopic way of urs ?it shows how uncivilize and unexpose u are.....if u think amaechi is wrong, its ur right to go to court and if u can't may u be destroyed for life..... ...a lot of politicians have made worst statements than this from both political side and if u are knowledgeable enough amaechi statement, that is even conditional(IF),Should not be the issue if not because u are already hopeless of a better tomorrow and u are looking for one to vent ur anger.....please this man didn't bring u to this world,u can sit ur parents down and asked them why they failed in their duty...amaechi is not ur problem but ur parents that failed in their responsibility. ....all hope is not lost.....u can still GET A LIFE.
