My 2003 corolla passenger side front tyre and opposite back tyre stiffed after driving for few minutes. Once my mechanic bleeded the line for the two tyres, it will run smoothly for the next few minutes and stuck again. Both braking mechanism have been checked ok by my mechanic. Still same issue

actually what happened is that the seals in your compressor have failed (might have been made of teflon). this ends up forming crud that wreaks havoc on expansion valves /orifices and end up overheating the system.

this is usually a bad situation as compressor, expansion valve and condenser must be replaced and evaporator and cooling lines must be well flushed/ replaced.

@ inception, I'm having similar issues. My technician advised that I should replaced my compressor. While changing it, he found that my condenser had virus which was obvious.
We changed these two components, he flushed the cooling line and coupled everything back. While starting, cooling didn't take place but gas was escaping through vents inside the car. He now said the evaporator need to be replaced.
At that point, I was weak. No cash to do that. My question is at what point or what are the indicator to show a bad evaporator cos I don't want to hear another story again.

Its corolla 03, sometimes compressor picks immediately I switch on a/c and cut off like 3 minutes after and refuses to on again. Also,compressor might not pick at all when I put on a/c.

it was discovered that the compressor coil was bad,it was replaced and fresh gas was injected. Ac is back to normal condition,though am stil monitoring the state.

I am not an expert, but it does seem to me that the previous diagnosis may be premature. Is there really enough information to give a clear diagnosis?
@ OP - what kind of car do you drive? Make, Year, Model?
How does the problem manifest? What do you think the trigger might be?

I have a Volvo with the same compressor cut out problem, except my trigger is road bumps and hard braking. Mechanics in Lagos could not figure it out, I placed one call to a service technician at a Volvo dealership in the US, and she immediately isolated the problem - a bad compressor clutch! Turns out it is a pretty common Volvo issue.

Perhaps if you give more info, the house experts can help you out.
