We need to decongest Lagos....... that's just the main point.
It's not that we don't love your presence but you gotta slow down on the migration.
It's turning Lagos to global example of overpopulation and it's effects.
If we can do something about the people living in ghettos giving birth like rats and agberos.... (I'll prefer they exterminate those ones).
It's welcome by me........ and reverse migration..... more people leaving Lagos.
If 5 million leave Lagos, approximately 15 million are still left behind which is still more that a lot of countries population. |

Alcatraz001: brother, please how much did u spend and long has it taken u up till this point to obtain the court order. Help a brother here abeg. You'll need a lawyer first of all. I've already had a bad experience with a tenant so I was prepared for this one. You need to give him a 6 month notice to quit and vacate served to him through your lawyer. You need patience here but I served this tenant 6 months to his rent expiration so it still counted. When the quit notice expires, you can now gather your paperwork.... a good lawyer will do that for you without even bothering you and proceed to court to get your date of appearance. Adjournments is what causes the delay but just follow up, in like 4 -5 months, you'll get your judgement. This is the sweetest part, you can now proceed to kick down the door with bailiffs and throw the tenants property out. I threw the last one out in the rain sef with his wife. Work out an instalmenal payment plan based on court appearances. It helps relieve the pressure of bulk payment. |

Thewrath: Then you my friend fall under the jealousy category. You criminalize a legitimate business to justify your assertion. The overpopulation results in increased crime rate. That was taught in pry sch social studies jooor. As your legit businessmen flock in, so do your criminals adding to the number on ground. Nothing like jealousy here...... it's common sense. |

We can argue this back and forth but it doesn't change the reality. From the beginning of this thread to my post, at least 10 luxurious buses have arrived in Lagos with 3/4 of their occupants not having plans to return. |

Thewrath: Firstly, this is not tribal hating,am not responsible for how you interpret the article.
There are a few categories of people (NOT ALL) in southwersten and northern Nigeria who always spearhead the idea of igbos leaving SW and NORTH,you find them virtually everywhere, both online/offline rushing to tell you why igbos are in Lagos or Kano and why they should go,but the SW is one region that will not let a day go buy without reminding the igbos that they are not home.I will attempt to use this article to identify them.
The jobless: ominile and agbero,(online/offline)these ones will take advantage of any crisis/riot to loot the shops of traders,a typical yoruba who has secured a good job won't be worried about igbos.
The loosers: This group comprises of those who have sold their lands, regretting and are wondering how it was possible they didn't think of what the igboman has turned the land into before selling the land, these groups are usually pained and will seize the slightest opportunity to reclaim their lands.
The jealous: these groups are not entirely poor, but just don't like the idea that they have to pay rent to an Igboman in their own land,or that an Igbo man owns a huge investment, they are quick to generalize and call him or her a drug dealer, and all sorts of character defamation techniques,to justify their assertion.you can imagine what this group will do if the opportunity to turn back the hands of time surfaces.
The lazy: traders and touts make up this category.they don't like competition,For example, while I was in ogun state,if you go to the popular omida mkt or kuto mkt at Abeokuta, the traders do not like to look for change, you buy something of #50 and give #200,next thing you hear is "mi o ni change"(you begin to wonder if #200 is that much). But a typical Igbo man or woman will look for change, some igbos don't even have shops but they always have all the good you came to buy(oso-afia).that's the hustling spirit,no need to be jealous.
The insecure: This group comprises of the politicians and low self esteemed people, they are not happy with the idea that an Igboman heads/represent a constituency, forgetting that a great % of igbos make up Lagos, which was a former capital and a very diverse state.these groups are worried about the uncertainty of their future, with the presence of the igbos.
All these groups have one thing in common, they all scream one nigeria when it suits them. I advice that if you fall into any of these categories,it's not too late, spend more time on how you will also make yours, instead of screaming igbos should leave SW and NORTH. You forgot to add..... The social and environmentally conscious. They see the uncontrolled trend of mass migration into Lagos and are aware of its negative impact which we are already witnessing e.g. (1) Overcrowding (2) Rapid degredation of infrastructure (3) Increase in crime rate. (4) Environmental degradation, poor sanitation and increase in pollution. (5) Stretching of the state's finances and resources till it reaches levels of diminishing returns. We're just lucky that we've had good goverance since 1999. The State was almost a social and environmental disaster waiting to happen. That has been postponed but if the migration trend doesn't reduce or is reversed, it's results won't be nice. |

Orikinla: . Lagos in 2050 will even look finer than what is already in the master plan of Eko Atlantic City. My IMAX Dome is better seen than imagined. It will be awesome. cool. We seriously need to depopulate. If Lagos was allowed to continue the way it was by 1999, that CNN impression would have been our future......... but with the APC govt that's looking for excuses to knock down old buildings and erect newer ones, that can never come to pass. |

Fury007: Nonsen.se topic posted by a fraud that seeks attention.
The concept was made by a Nigerian architect using shanty structures to design several buildings. It's all about using your knowledge to design something unique, and CNN posted it to promote novel ideas. Simple.
Just look for the article on CNN site for real understanding. It's the Nigerian Architect that has a warped mind. That's a product of his delusions not reality. |

Orikinla: This is how Lagos will look like. With the Eko Atlantic I'm seeing, Lagos will never be like that. Old buildings are being torn down and replaced with nicer ones daily. Gov Ambode was talking about relocating Makoko residents and I also saw the development plan of the free trade zone. Estates are built constantly and developers are buying old buildings to construct nicer ones. The future looks bright for Lagos. |

I just spoke to a resident in that axis and he confirms that those militants are Ijaw.
The have been bunkering oil in that area for a long time selling to the locals and filling stations.
They were chased from their former area of operations by soldiers and they've relocated to the the Ikorodu axis.
It's the locals that tried to resist them leading to their violent actions.
We should post more information on their activities and locations as we recieve it.
They've called attention on themselves and they will face their end in the southwest. |

They would have chased Gowon in Niger Republic This is certainly payback for the 3 Million Biafrans that were claimed to be killed. I honestly doubt that figure. |

Stingman: "...By the end of 1968 Britain had sold Nigeria £9 million worth of arms, £6 million of which was spent on small arms. A quarter of Nigeria’s supplies (by value) had come from the Soviet Union, also taking advantage of the war for its own benefit and trying no doubt to secure an opening into Nigeria provided by this opportunity. British officials consistently justified their arms supply by saying that if they stopped, the Russians would fill the gap. It was Britain’s oil interests, however, that was the dominating factor in Whitehall planners’ reasoning" Mark Curtis
Imagine Britain and Russia falling over themselves to supply arms...The FMG had to use other means to win the war- Disgraceful and womanly tool of starvation was used... Dude..... that was common sense at play. Why should i fight you and feed you at the same time................. or why should you fight the person feeding you? |
