'Win the trust of the majority of Niger-Deltans', that the key. But does Buhari recognise the need or how to go about it? Is he even ready to do that? Some statements attributed to the President especially that 5% comment has done a lot of damage in the relationship between the Presidency and the people who occupy the region of Nigeria's source of income. Is the President willing to do the right thing by re-assuring the entirety of Nigerians through his words and actions that he'll a President for all? Only Time will tell.
Win their trust like GEJ did and empowered gun carrying militants abi?

It's free money they want, not the interest of their people. Look at how good they had it under GEJ and how many people got affected?

You know the answer, the niger delta they're fighting for is in their stomachs.

Have you been to any of the ND states? Go there and see humans living like refugees in their own land. No good water, no good roads. And they own the oil we export to sustain our economy
Have you seen their leaders and how rich they are?

They receive the highest allocations but it's looted by their leaders and their people celebrate them while pointing fingers at everyone else since it's easier to do.

The militants are not killing people
Yeah, they're even prolonging the lifespan of the average Niger Deltan by bombing pipelines that polute the air, land and water.

Hard to find them begging though........ they'll rather switch to fraud, drug dealing, importation of fake drugs and sub standard goods than beg.

stinggy:
It's a sad news for the country. No citizen's life is worth being wasted. The militants should just come out and negotiate sensible terms, not those on the unrealistic list flying around.
A lot of citizens lives are worth being wasted. undecided

E.g. Politicians looting the nation, boko haram m illitants etc.

Nigeria is too over populated and wasting the bad eggs won't be a loss for the Nation.

Politics › Re: Three Soldiers Killed By Militants In Foropa, Southern Ijaw, Bayelsa by ba7man(m): 6:27am On May 11, 2016
Quakertellicus1:
Takeaways from this thread....

1.When Boko Haram kills soldiers, some people blame the whole North for being so violent. When Niger Delta militants do the same...some people blame the South for being so violent. Me....I think I put both Boko and ND militants in the same boat. They are just as bad as each other (Boko is probably worse).

Both groups have wrecked their home regions over the years...in the name of fighting for their ''rights'' .....to the point that it is going to take ages for the areas to be cleaned up.

No amnesty for both of them.

2.I always hear supporters of the Avengers say that they are fighting for resource control and restructuring of Nigeria. Funny thing is that is what their seniors said back in 2009....until the government gave them amnesty....then all that talk went away.

3.Since when were thugs responsible for guarding pipelines? How long are we going to pay danegeld to a group of people who are not really interested in anything but their pockets? (Google the meaning of danegeld....very enlightening).

4.If you want resource control and restructuring....go to the National Assembly. Stop all this talk about how the ''North'' would stop you. You put pressure on your NA reps...who then will make the necessary compromises/meetings with other reps....to get the necessary bills/laws passed.

5.For over ten years now...the Niger Delta has gotten far more money than other parts of the country. YET....the area is still underdeveloped....and yet people are not ready to ask why. Because it is far easier to blame the North than to look inward at corrupt leaders like Ibori and Alams.

6.Blowing up pipelines is silly. It worsens the environment, and drives away investors. And when there are no investors, there are no jobs...and the Niger Delta gets poorer. Meanwhile...oil is being discovered elsewhere in Africa. The Niger Delta is dispensable.

7. Someone here blamed Buhari for the deaths of the soldiers. Meanwhile that same person was blaming the North for the death of soldiers in BH territory during the last administration. Why not blame the Niger Delta now? We in the SS allowed this mess to happen because we did not invest in our youth, we did not spend more on education, we wasted the 13% derivation we got....and now we are reaping the fruits of neglect.

8. More money is not going to fix the Niger Delta. The region needs restructuring of people's minds. It does not need more money. Same goes for the North and everywhere else.

9.Some people still have not gotten over the last election.

10.We do not need a new amnesty/danegeld/restructuring/whatever. We need serious leadership from our governors and other local rulers in the South South.
You've said it all.

We don't want Niger Delta refugees in the South west when they finish wrecking their environment and economy in the name of fighting for resource control.

At least their people are cheering the militants on.

Spartacus is too shallow compared with GOT.....They ain't in the same league at all.

It takes an intelligent person to appreciate GOT, it's not for the fickle mind. Anyone that loves straight violence, blood and Gore will catch up with Spatarcus.

Vikings too gets a honorable mention, you should try that too.

You're right, his character lacks an edge...... like he tries too hard to be evil.

King Joefry played the villain better...... he was like walking in a mine field not having an idea where the mines where located.
