How does that look like? Probably you don't know they use a timed detonation.
Gas + explosives = Big disaster.

Why is it only reported on the pages of newspapers??

When crude oil pipes are blown we all know what it looks like........... but gas??

chudionu58:
There are two major issues that caused it...

1. Consistent blow up of gas pipelines especially the Escravos to Lagos pipeline system and the Trans Forcados trunkline.. you'll agree that hundredths of kilometers of pipelines are very difficult to police especially those ones in very swampy terrains.
2. The last minute strikes by oil workers which led to the shutdown of gas production and evacuation infrastructure.

it's very unfortunate that you've pretended not knowing who built and kept in a good shape most of the power plants.. Go ahead and tell us how Buhari built any of them.
Do you know what a blown gas pipeline looks like?

Exactly...he is a Media GMD! He is talking too much. If you read the article well, you will agree with me that he doesn't know much about the business of refining.
Its like you and your friend are angry the GMD was able to avoid spending so much to maintain the PH refinery. Or were you the company that dropped the overpriced quote?

@Topic. I'm sure those overpriced quotes from those foreign companies had the strings of Nigeria politicians that stand to collect massive kickbacks from the highly inflated cost.

One of the ways Politicians loot the Nation.

u can continue in your blame game of GEJ which is past. Let Mr integrity/body language buhari provide direction and fast too. People ain't smiling forget the media propaganda this economy is on autopilot downhill. Actions and policies are needed to stem this negative spiral else the loudness of discontent will be affect the deaf!
If you don't identify and fix the anomalies of the past, moving to the future is futile.

So the economy was booming under GEJ, Abi?

So you never wondered why there was so much hardship around you despite them claiming. Nigeria as Africa's largest economy in the past administration?

when will u stop stealing GEJ's glory u buharists? All the improvements apc/buhari have nothing to do with them rather, they are WIP(work in progress) of the previous govt. How has stealing now defined erroneously as corruption in lexicon and technical put money in your pocket? Everywhere the tell tale signs abound people are very broke and this govt has done nothing to give direction. All We hear is media trial of corruption while the economy continue nose dive. God help nigeria.
GEJ's dumbness prevented anything he laid his hands on from working.

Why do you think NEPA gave him billions for his reelection?? Because they had scammed him so much, they wanted the show to go on, same with NNPC and subsidy.

The economic situation you talk about was the product of GEJ's allowance of widespread lootin of the National coffers. The mess he left Buhari.

Thank God we now have a president that has made them all sit up.

fayose never shared rice for election rather as a tithing in a connecting manner! It is d media colouring him bad!! He remains connected to Ekiti people. Street credible if u ask me! He did this b4, during and after election unlike those flatly denying their campaign promises.
But electricity supply improved under their watch and stealing is now corruption............. compared to just sharing rice.

What are the odds that a Vehicle registered to the US embassy would be involved in a collision with another vehicle, that was transporting the Senate minority leader, who happens to be an ex-govenor of an oil rich state that is in the grips of a political party that is presently, not in good terms with the US government.
Connect the dots and read between the lines. You will see, that which everyone has failed to realise.
You have a very adventurous mind.

Yoruba people still want to cheat us the way they cheated our forefathers when they stole our Royal Niger company and changed it to UAC that developed Lagos and employed only them.. Now they want to use LNG to build another company in Lagos to develop Lagos while Rivers people suffer and die of the LNG waste products and remain jobless. And after they ll they claim Lagos to be their own.
And They call Yorubas cowards??

See how they investors rush to court the cowards while the brave are left protesting.
