The list can go on and on and on until we get to everybody in every facet of life in Nigeria. All those mentioned are not Political Office holders.

WE ALL ABUSE WHATEVER POWER WE HAVE FOR MONETARY GAINS. THAT IS CORRUPTION.

The most corrupt, in my opinion, are those that collect egunje to vote for political candidates. They are saying to the politicians - give my share now, you can go and recoup with interest in any form you chose over the next 4 year.

Until we all accept responsibility and stop passing the blame to others or people in power, we are moving nowhere. A school of political thought says "The Leadership is a reflection of the Followership". This is premised on the fact that the Leadership is a subset of the Followership. In a simpler term. The Leaders are selected from the Followers.

Any person that voted on the basis of religion and/or ethnicity is not in his/her right senses. Ignoring performance or history of performance to vote on religious or tribal ground is the height of stupidity.

That is one of the major cause of problems in Nigeria today. We are not looking at party ideologies nor performance records of candidates, all most care for is peanuts doled-out during campaigns, this candidate is from my tribe or religion, yet we expect performance. We keep fooling ourselves.

In the developed or developing worlds, nobody cares for where are from, it is all about Party Ideologies and performance records.

Back to BAT and OBI, look at their performance records and tell me which one should any SANE person should vote for.

I did not talk about parties because we do not have political parties in Nigeria. That is why a politician can be APC today and move to PDP tomorrow, why someone can be APGA governor, a PDP VP candidate and an LP presidential candidate why one win an election on the platform of PDP and change to APC after some years in office.

No, I never said Igbos were not the only people that voted LP (Obi) in the presidential elections. A lot of Yoruba and some Hausa Christians voted for him, but Igbos were the only people that voted 97% for their kinsman. Now, the same platform (LP) that that kinsman ran on could only struggle to produce 1 Governor in the same Igboland.

Like a typical Igboman, with your warped, screwed and scewed sense of entitlement, that you were boasting that “Igbos will conquer Lagos” does not stroke ethnic tension to you, that “Lagos is a no-man’s-land” does not neither is “installing Ezes of equal status with Yoruba Obas”. Of course, Kanu directing Igbos to burn down BRT buses and to destroy every infrastructure in Lagos during #endears did not amount to stroking ethnic tension. It is only stroking ethnic tension when it does not favour Igbos.

I know from comments here that a great deal of commentators either don't live in Nigeria or are elites who choose to live in denial. The Presidential election result in Lagos was a major shift in the political calculus of Nigeria. Those who voted massively for Obi and LP did so across ethnic divides. I have 2 children in Lagos. They are both Obidients. From VI, Lekki, Ikeja, youths voted massively for Obi and probably would have done same for GRV. As soon as the result was announced, the GLOATING and the BOASTING began. You need to see the virulence of it on Twitter. It was no longer about the intended shift or making a point against establishment. It suddenly became an ethnic thing, a victory for the power and influence of Ndigbo in Lagos. Some even brazenly made videos to that effect and the "no man's land" refrain suddenly started gaining traction. I was appalled by it all. I knew it would not end well. I saw many of those tweets and videos. One of my sons told me that some of the things he heard from Igbo guys made him regret casting his vote for Obi. There is no smoke without fire. It us interesting that when Yoruba people started responding to the unabashed provocation, the ethnic baiting started. If I cannot control the ferocity of your slap on my face, you cannot control the viciousness of my reaction. It's so unfortunate that an eye for an eye only makes everyone go blind!

Many of us are in foreign lands that have accommodated us without caring where we come from. Sometimes, we still struggle with racism even when we hold the passports of our host nations. Nonetheless, we dare not stand and abuse the sensibilities of our hosts. That is the issue here and should be divorced from blatant ethnicity and tribal bigotry. How come we didn't have all of these outrages till after election? And it is NOT because Tinubu lost to Obi in Lagos. That was made possible by people who just needed a change in Lagos. LP would probably have repeated that feat but for the issue I mentioned above. Prof and I were contemporaries in College and in our days, tribe and ethnicity were never issues. To a large extent, many Nigerians still think that way, especially in the SW where Ndigbo and other tribe's have been given ample room to flourish. I asked an Igbo friend to mention ONE Yoruba man who has one acre of land to his name in his part of Igboland. He could not.

Those who come to equity must always approach the table with clean hands. Igbos have thrived and continue to thrive unmolested in Lagos. They continue to contribute significantly to its economy. Ndigbo who mean well should address those who are stoking the fires among their elite, rather than complain about the attendant conflagration. Deal with the cause, the consequence will be taken care of.

Almost every Igbo person I attempted to engage in conversation on the candidacy of Obi when I was trying to decide who to support, responded with anger, attacks on my person and evidently ethnic slurs rather than reason. I had to DELIBERATELY rise above those pedantic narratives.

During #endsars, Nnamdi Kanu was on social media and Radio Bi.afra supervising and commanding the burning of BRT and public infrastructure in Lagos. I heard it myself, and people were calling him to update him as the they burnt down buses and police stations. He was particular and emphatic about Lagos and overrunning the city. I was shocked but, as a die-hard nationalist, I simply shrugged it off as the rantings of a deluded agitator. Lt.Col Victor Banjo, a Yoruba man was Ojukwu's friend and fought on the side of Biafra during the Civil War. He led many offensives against Federal troops and led the onslaught that captured the then Midwest. Then Ojukwu ordered him to proceed and take Lagos. Banjo refused that order. He was invited back to Enugu and Ojukwu personally supervised his execution as a traitor to the Biafran cause. I believe the last election only acted as a pin that pricked an inflated balloon.
The question in my mind in all of these is, *"WHY THE OBSESSION WITH LAGOS?"*🤔

If there a group of people in Nigeria with the highest tendency for Ethnoracialism, it is the Igbos as shown AGAIN by result of the last presidential election. The Yorubas voted for both Obi and Atiku, at least the Hausa/Fulanis voted for BAT. Can be said of Igbos with about 97% voting for Obi?
Yorubas only woke up to respond to your insult by declaring you (Igbos) will take over Lagos state bc it is a no-man's-land.
This is just the start, my advise to Sanwo-Olu and other Yoruba Governors is to expunge all Igbos from their respective state workforces to be on the same level as the SE state workforces.
You have not seen anything yet. You will go back to your Biafra leaving everything you invested in Lagos to the Yorubas. We will not make the same stupid mistake our fathers made after the civil war by keeping and returning your assets. We will take a cue from the PortHarcourt people this time around.
Let's see what will happen in the no-man's-land then. WE WILL ALL SOON KNOW THE OWNERS OF THE NO-MAN'S-LAND.
Again, read the news to know from which tribe the drug pushers who rubbishing Nigeria image abroad are from. You don't need to go far, just scroll through Nairaland.

BAT and Atiku scored almost zero in the SE with Obi scoring almost 97% - if that is not rigging, it then clearly shows how tribalistic the Igbos are.
SS was a different ball game with Wike dominating the polity and donating Rivers to BAT. Without Wike, BAT has the chance of ‘snow in hell” of winning anything from Rivers. Other SS states which were traditionally PDP states were shared between PDP and LP with BAT scraping 25% in a few.

If the election is repeated 10 times, we will get the same result. BAT will take the SW, OBI will take the SS and SE, BAT and Atiku will share the North while OBI will score almost ZERO there.
