Pure honey should be labeled as such. Natural honey is used in cooking, beauty treatments, wound/disease management and weight loss. It is an energy source rich in vitamins and minerals, and offers anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties. Real honey usually is expensive, and imitation honey has been developed to offer a less-expensive alternative. There are three basic classes of honey: natural (pure), adulterated and artificial. Natural honey is made from raw honey, adulterated honey contains natural honey but also other ingredients, and artificial honey is made of syrup from sugar or corn, additives and food coloring. Instructions- Rub some of the product between your index finger and thumb until it disintegrates -- some will be absorbed into your skin if there's honey; pure honey is a good skin regimen. Natural honey is not sticky. If what you rub is sticky, it has sugar or artificial sweetener in it. Place a few drops on notebook or tissue paper. Pure honey will not perforate the paper for a long time because it does not contain water. Drop some honey near ants. Bees instinctively build beehives on trees and between rocks. They add an additive to the honey in order to protect it from pests, such as ants. Ants will not disturb natural honey. Mix it with an egg yolk and beat with a fork. If the honey is pure, the yolk will look like it has been cooked. Fill a glass of water and add 1 tablespoon of the product. Pure honey will lump and settle at the bottom, while adulterated and artificial honey will start dissolving. Spread it on a slice of bread. Natural honey will harden the bread in minutes. Adulterated and artificial honey will wet the bread because of the water content. Real honey will give you a tingling feel in the back of your mouth just before swallowing. Adulterated and artificial honey cannot achieve this. See if it crystallizes over time. Imitation honey will remain looking like syrup, no matter how long it is stored, while real honey will crystallize. Dip the tip of a matchstick in the product and then strike to light it. Natural honey will light the match easily and the flame will burn off the honey. Fake honey will not light because of the moisture. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons to a microwave-proof bowl. Heat on high power until hot. Natural honey will caramelize quickly and never become foamy. Adulterated and artificial honey will become bubbly and difficult to caramelize. Its better to buy from local traders like the yoruba called them 'elewe omo' or from the village |

♥ Heart Touching Story of the MONTH (Must Read) ♥ This is a true story of Mother’s Sacrifice during an Earthquake. After the Earthquake had subsided, when the rescuers reached the ruins of a young woman’s house, they saw her dead body through the cracks. But her pose was somehow strange that she knelt on her knees like a person was worshiping; her body was leaning forward, & her two hands were supporting by an object. The collapsed house had crashed her back & her head. With so many difficulties, the leader of the rescuer team put his hand through a narrow gap on the wall to reach the woman’s body. He was hoping that this woman could be still alive. However, the cold & stiff body told him that she had passed away for sure. He & the rest of the team left this house & were going to search the next collapsed building. For some reasons, the team leader was driven by a compelling force to go back to the ruin house of the dead woman. Again, he knelt down & used his hand through the narrow cracks to search the little space under the dead body. Suddenly, he screamed with excitement,” A child! There is a child! “ The whole team worked together; carefully they removed the piles of ruined objects around the dead woman. There was a 3 months old little boy wrapped in a flowery blanket under his mother’s dead body. Obviously, the woman had made an ultimate sacrifice for saving her son. When her house was falling, she used her body to make a cover to protect her son. The little boy was still sleeping peacefully when the team leader picked him up. The medical doctor came quickly to exam the little boy. After he opened the blanket, he saw a cell phone inside the blanket. There was a text message on the screen. It said,” IF YOU CAN SURVIVE, YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT I LOVE YOU.” This cell phone was passing around from one hand to another. Every body that read the message wept. ” If you can survive, you must remember that I love you.Such is the mother’s love for her child!.I u mum

Security operatives may soon be armed with the legal authority to access private communications either through telephone calls or e-mail messages if plan to introduce Lawful Interception by the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) scales through. The excuse is security. But at what point will they draw the line with the right to privacy? If there is anyone out there who still latches on to his right to privacy and thinks the telephone is one of such platforms for heart-to-heart discussions, no matter what the topic is, the time to have a rethink might have come. It's official now- the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) plans to introduce lawful interception (LI), a legally sanctioned official access to private communications, such as telephone calls or e-mail messages in a bid to enhance national security, prevent crime and aid criminal investigations. Under this initiative which is in response to a warrant from a judge, lawful interception is performed simply by applying a 'tap' on the telephone line of the target, making it possible for security agencies in Nigeria to listen to terrorist and criminal cell phone calls and then gather intelligence on their activities through such communications. Drawing its powers from Section 70 of the Nigerian Communications Act, 2003 and all other powers enabling it in that regard, the commission however said it has not fixed a date for the take-off of the controversial policy which critics said can be used by repressive governments to intimidate the opposition. A draft guideline posted on the NCC website requires service providers and Internet service providers to implement their networks to explicitly support authorised electronic surveillance. But that would not be by choice as a fine of N5 million is said to await any service provider or any of its officers who fail to comply with the provisions of the regulation. The lawful interception has existed since the inception of electronic communications in the form "wiretapping"; it has become increasingly necessary now because of the sophistication of criminal enterprises in exploiting emerging communications channels. In fact, office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) was said to have in early 2010 summoned all telecommunications operators in the country to a meeting where it tabled the proposed initiative. As good as the idea seems, especially in the face of growing terrorism in the country, its downside is what has constituted concern for many, especially when situated within the context of privacy. Besides, there are strong indications that government- hiding under the cover of security- has already begun to repress perceived enemies by tapping into their phone lines SOURCE- Nigerian info 99.3 |

Dear friends on facebook, The determination of this administration to create wealth in Nigeria and for Nigerians has led us to focus our investment drive towards attracting Foreign Direct Investments in manufacturing and the service sector to ensure that jobs are created. And this drive is not an exercise in futility as Nigeria is becoming the preferred destination for FDI. Just last week, General Electric announced a decision to invest $1 billion in setting up a manufacturing plant to support power generation and oil production. Their plant, to be situated in Calabar, will provide jobs for thousands with multiplier effect for tens of thousands more and will make Nigeria a hub for power equipment in the region. The end result of this investment is that Nigeria’s power generating infrastructure will be expanded meaning more power for Nigerians which translates to even more jobs. While we continue to encourage the Private Sector to help grow our economy and create jobs for our youths, we will do all within our powers to also keep our youths engaged. In this regard I am happy to report that the 600 bed Federal Teaching Hospital in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State which this administration began working on in February 2011 has reached 95% completion and when commissioned later this year it will provide jobs for 3000 people. Similar projects are ongoing in other geo-political zones and I will keep you updated. Similarly, ongoing massive investments in the rehabilitation of our railways are being carried out with direct labour, thereby providing jobs to thousands of our youths especially around the Ilorin-Minna-Kaduna-Kano corridor of our rail network. In addition to the regular Lagos to Kano service, the Nigerian Railway Corporation has introduced new routes including the Offa-Kano intercity service. These initiatives are generating employment and providing an inexpensive means of travel as well as an alternative means of hauling heavy goods and petroleum products to the hinterland. Rehabilitation works are also ongoing in the nation’s pipelines to ensure a resumption of the supply of petroleum products by pipelines all over the nation thus reducing the pressure on our roads and railways and freeing up space for hauling other products. Jobs are being created as this is ongoing and moribund services are being resumed. Just last month, the Benin Depot of the Pipeline Product Marketing Company (PPMC) was reopened after a successful completion of rehabilitation works. Products can now be transferred by pipelines to this facility. And it is not just in the service sectors that we are seeing construction and rehabilitation. During the maiden meeting of the Executive Council of the Federation meeting, the Federal Government approved the establishment of three new universities in Yobe, Kebbi and Zamfara states. Apart from the jobs that the construction works will generate in those states, value is being added to the local economy as more citizens will have access to tertiary education with its attendant effect in wealth generation and improved health. My dear friends on facebook, may God bless you, even as I pray for Almighty God to bless our country, Nigeria. GEJ |
