Having seen things from the 2 countries, here is my view:

UK: Opportunities are plenty as long as you are focused, and try to stay away from all the things that will tempt you. There is a natural glass ceiling unless you run your own business etc. Racism exists, depends on where you go, the more you move away from town or mixed areas, the more likely you are to experience racism. Some white folks will even tell you they have never spoken to a black person before, and even ask questions like, do black people eat food or do they know how to speak english. Another important factor is that if you speak to the middle class or rich white people, they are mostly not racist because they do not feel threathened by the average non-white trying to make a living etc (they are privately educated, have family connections, in line for massive inheritance etc), if you speak to the unskilled white people, these are the ones that do not feel comfy with immigrants because they feel that the little low end opportunities available for them are being grabbed by non-whites. UK is a country where non-whites are viewed with suspicion when they are mega rich, unles of course you are a self made biz man.



US: In US, its a bit more different you have situations where a black guy can be racist to another black guy because one is black American and the other is black African. Racism here is more to your face and thats just the way of life here, its accepted there that blacks are low-lifers and they should not complain and get on with it. Due to its sheer size and population as well, racism is not treated as a very bidg deal, could be because of historical attitudes etc. On the other hand, USA is a country built by immigrants, so its not a big deal if an average black folk lives a rich comfy life, its not a big deal here. The reason is that again as long as you are focused, the sky is the limit. I dont think the UK can ever have a black PM, its not a big deal since the white folks still control the black guy we have in the white house, so dont let us get too excited here.


Conclusion: The 2 countries are racist, it just takes different forms and how you conduct yourself.

I noticed that the foundation alone for this building cost 13m, what are the factors that determines how expensive a foundation will be.

To also construct a block of 6 flats, what factors will determine the cost of my foundation, the area is in Lekki, the area is around LASU Lekki campus, and the plot is somewhat lower than the height of the expressway, is that a problem in the sense that i know it will chop filling, but what if others dont fill that high or dont raise thier foundation that high ?

I was very very close to buying from Lekki gardens phase 2 this time last year, but I later changed my mind because i am an investor and I thought single units arent better value for money. Anyway, I was at the phase 2 offices in April, they have glossy brochures etc. But TBH, I didnt go to view the houses as back then, there were not any houses that were completed.

As per Lekki County estate, I know a lot about this estate as I actually lived there, years ago when the developer was promoting the place, they took peoples money, only to then dissapoint them. Houses were not finished, it got very messy, in actual fact some of the residents were living in the estate for about a year with no electricity, they were running generators. Electricity came in about 12-18 months ago. The residents are running things there and they are really really doing a good job against all odds, the developer isnt happy about this and making thier lives difficult. The estate is well located, just before VGC, looks good inside, but again this is all due to the efforts of the residents, the developer is tryingt o force them off and who knows what you will get should the developer take control of estate management. Its a good estate, but could have been much more better had the developer done things properly.

They have good road network, electricity, no water, good atmosphere, nice neighbours, some teething problems that i pray they iron out.

I don't know what Nija people are doing in India, if u go places like dubai, they use them like slaves and even refer to them as f*cking dirty in*****. So I fail to understand why our people are being molested in another developing country like India where they are already over a billion of them.

I want to buy into an estate development, the family have thier own surveyor and law firm, I want to know whether its possible to bring your own surveyor to do survey, what are the consequences and is it worth it.

Also typically how much do surveyors charge in the Ajah area (Eti-Osa west LG)
