PS712: You know clearly that lots of the programmes or activities hosted in Lagos by private organizations e.g. this very one are not government initiatives, let's call things as they are. Yes Lagos hosts port of entry and it's the commercial hub of the nation, but don't forget it is still a state, without effort by those who led and are still leading it, it wouldn't be so attractive. Creating enabling environment for something to thrive is the bedrock of any venture. In Lagos you have so many initiatives/programmes, bodies and agencies you don't find in other states in Nigeria. A clear example are states bordering Lagos and those bordering the FCT. Whereas those close to Lagos have capitalised on their proximity to Lagos those close to the FCT haven't . It boils down to what kind of leadership and governance a state has. What gave rise to that kind of environment in the first place? There are state with better I.T inclined, skill and development minded governors than Lagos. If not for presense of what I mentioned in the previous quote which in turn gave rise to many companies, businesses, heavy inflow of people etc., which makes companies think Lagos is the best for that program. |

PS712: In fact, just Lagos. And it's because that is where initiatives work, coupled with open door governance that welcomes ideas, unlike the conservative approach most or other states take. Abuja's case is because it is FCT, that's all. Forget that initiative or open door bla bla bla. It's majorly due to the way Lagos has been built from onset, i.e entry port into the country. |

madridsta007: They are desperate to be wifed that is why. This shouldnt be surprising na.
At 24, they will say, "I will never marry an Igbo man... Omo-Igbo?!" When they are 30 they will know more than Biafra than you the Igbo man.... "Igbos are nice... Igbo men are caring, why not? My parents will accept...." Funny but true, I have one onyeofemmanu lady that just concluded her NYSC program beside my shop that has been giving me green light recently to the extent that another guy noticed her act and told me about it. I don repent, I for blow her come dump her ass but Nah, I won't do that. |

favor914: Just as I thought, you can’t answer a simple question of what makes you ibo? Just to be neighing up and down like an ass? Useless empty barrel Irredeemable Peasant of Biafra, everywhere you settle you must try & claim ownership? No wonder ibos tried to claim they were Jews that went and stole Palestine land & religion?Zombie. Stop being stupid biko... Your question is senseless to me. Few years ago some black Americans came to Nigeria, Eastern part to be precise because they traced their root to that place. They didn't just wake up and decided to travel to Nigeria that day, they have done several researches etc. Read, research, update yourself and stop going about asking rhetorical questions . It is not a new thing that people often trace their root to a particular place or tribe using certain mediums. You didn't pay anybody on nairaland to teach you what you can get online if you're wise and resourceful. I can see you like Igbo so much thag you want to identify with them, that is not a bad thing but stop asking that meaningless question. P.S: If you desire to be an Igbo so much, be prudent and virtuous, an Igboman will come your way, in that way you can be Igbo through marriage. EOD. |

blacknp: Privatize the road for 25 years, Refurbish, Use, & Return, incompetence & mismanagement is what is killing Nigeria, the era of The Federal Government running freeways from Abuja should be over. It is well, I was just concerned about the reason why they released the funds to them if they don't have any meaningful project on those roads to show. |
