Aboru Aboye Today I will be telling you the itan of Òsóòsì and Ògún. Òsóòsì and Ògún where enemies because of a Sisán that Èsù had provoked but Ògún had a similar problem, even though nobody could make trails in the bush as fast as Ògún could, he was not able to kill his prey as Òsóòsì could. So both rivals went to the bush and started talking to each other, while they were talking they saw a deer, quickly Òsóòsì shoot an arrow that went through his throat and killed the deer. Òsóòsì told Ògún that he could not reach the catch because of the bush, Ògún grabbed his bowie knife and made a trail as fast as a blink of an eye. Really exited of what they had discovered, they shared the catch and realized that they where nothing as long as they stood apart from each other. They booth went home to Òrúnmila and made a pact. That’s why Òsóòsì and Ògún are always together, Òsóòsì the hunter and Ògún the master of the Iron. The Spiritual forces that are the foundations of Òsóòsì’s role in the spiritual kingdom are connected to the search of the balance between itself and the world. You are not welcome here. Babalawos, Iyanifas, Diviners & Seers Meet Here: Lets Discuss Divination bedspread: |
Timhim:The Orisas calls their Priests and Priestesses. I posted something of that nature some time ago on nairaland. |
Timhim:That's not true. There are several pastors, Prophets.... that are not skilled in their Christian Religion because they were not born with it. The Christians will say they were not called by God. Same thing applies to Babalawos. There are several Babalawos whose children are Christians or Muslims. Because your dad is a Babalawo doesn't mean you must be a Babalawo. Because your dad is a Pastor doesn't mean you must be a Pastor. Do you know how many Quack Native Doctors, Babalawos, Iyanifa, Orisa Priests / Priestesses, Prophets, Pastors.... out there? You will not know them because you are not a babalawo. You are born with it, training brings out what you have on the inside. If you don't have anything on the inside, training will bring out nothing outside. Thank you for reading, leave your comments. Aboru Aboye Today I will be teaching you how Goddess Oya also known as O’yansa changed to antelope that became a beautiful woman. Every five days on her way to the towns market, she removed her fur in the forest and she hide it in the bushes. One day Sàngó saw her at the market and was taken by her beauty. He followed her into the forest, he then saw her when she took the fur and changed to an antelope. The following day at the market, Sàngó decided to hide in the bushes while Oya changed from an antelope to a beautiful woman. When Oya went to the market after hiding the fur, Sango went home and took the fur with him and hide it under the beams. When Sango returned to the forest he found Oya desperately looking for her fur, Sàngó took her home with him. Òsún and Obba lived with Sango. Òsún and Obba had not been able to give him any children but soon Oya would be conceived and give him twins. Full of envy the other two started to questions Sàngó regarding Oya, about who she was, where she came from, who was her family. At last Sàngó gave in and told on of the wife’s how he met Oya, making the wife promise to keep his secret. The wife even thought she promised her husband to keep his secret, she and the other wife started to sing “She eats, she drinks and her fur is hanging by the beams”. Oya or O’yansa got exited hearing this song and one day when she was left alone, she started to search for her fur among the beams and she found it. When Sàngó returned home he started to chase her so that he could convince her to go back home with him, but instead she only attacked him with her horns. Finally he was able to calm her down, Oya made peace with him, giving him her horns and promising him that every time he would need her, he just have to hit the horns against each other and she would come to help him. Up till this day, Oya Priestesses have the ability to change to antelopes. Infact I have seen a beautiful Oya priestess changed to an antelope in my front before. Horlami3370:It is 100% Juju. There are several powerful protection charms we Babalawos prepare for our customers that our customers put inside their cars and houses. There are various protection house charms against robbery, the most popular one is the broom charm. A short broom with cowries is hung on your main door entrance, any thief that steals from your house will start to sweep your house clean till you catch them but one of the etutu (taboo) for this charm is that you must not hand them over to the police. YEMAYA / YEMONJA / YEMÒJA HISTORY Yemayá or Yemonja or Yemoja was a very beautiful woman but she didn’t want to get married because she missed one breast and was afraid that her husband would make fun of her because of this. One day on her way home from the market afflicted she thought of how sad it was to be alone without children and husband to come home to. Ògún heard this and while he was on the same trail and felt a strong urge to married her. He hugged her and told her; fear not, I know I look fierce and everyone fears me but I promise not to harm you and protect you as long as you promise me to never make fun of my bloodshot eyes. Yemayá or Yemonja or Yemoja accepted and asked him to never touch her breast and for a long time they fulfilled these promises and Yemayá gave him many children. One day, Ògún wanted to make something special to Yemayá and started to make her soup but because of his lack of experience he dropped the pot and it broke in thousand pieces as the food fell to the floor.
