Today I will be teaching you the four reasons why Spells or charms don't work.

1* Spell Caster / Babalawo: What type of spell do you expect from an untrained spell caster (babalawo)? Bad spells off course. Spells or charms from an untrained babalawos (spell casters) are extremely dangerous and has lots of bad side effects which will negatively affect the spell seeker. 2* Spell Seeker: What type of spell do you expect from a spell seeker that cant keep to spell laws (taboos)? Bad spells off course. Spells or charms prepared for a spell seeker who can not keep to the laws of the spell will have bad side effects. Do you know that most spell seekers are dishonest and this affect them negatively in the long run. There are stories of ladies going mad because they broke the law (taboo) of their love spell. There are some love spells law (taboo) that warns nobody except the love seeker or love victim should see it. When you ignore such a warning and somebody else sees it, something bad happens. Most love spells falls under hypnosis herbalism.

3* Spell Victim: What type of spell do you expect from a spell victim that has strong spiritual protection? Bad spells off course. Spells or charms prepared to control someone that has strong spiritual protection will not work and some times bounce back to the spell seeker or spell caster because the person has spiritual bullet proof. I know of a powerful leaf that only grows on top of a stone, this leaf doesn't grow on the soil or water. When eaten, protects the person from all curses and attacks. 4* Spell / Charm: What type of spell do you expect for a wrong prescription. Bad spells off course. There are thousands of love spells or love charms and not all will favour the love seeker because of the Ori of the love seeker. Most people tell a babalawo (spell caster) the kind or type of love spell (charm) they want without them allowing the babalawo consult IFA to prescribe the best love spell for them. All is well and thanks for checking up on me. Yes it is true, first child of the spell seeker can be an slowpoke if the love spell law (taboo) is broken. A first child must fortify his or herself because they spoil first children alot in Nigeria.

Finally, it boils down to the type of love spell that was cast for him or her and the consequences that goes with it if the law (taboo) is broken.

For some love charm if the law (taboo) is broken, the person will have marriage problem for the rest of his or her life. And there some rare cases the person will not have a male child, only female children. Only male child will go out in the form of miscarriage or die prematurely.

There are several implications of using love spell on someone and these implications are:

1* Control: most people want to control their spouse to do their biding. Domination plays a very important role in relationship and marriage. Love spells takes effect in this area. A man who is under a love spell becomes the woman in the house doing domestic work like cooking, washing dishes, washing his spouse clothes and undies, cleaning the house.... etc that normally he will refuse when commanded by his wife or spouse to do.

In ancient times, a prosperous farmer known as the monkey hunter, lived in a town called Isokun. He was known as the “monkey hunter” because his cultivation was so prolific that monkeys eat his crops and became a plague to him.

Thought he tried to get rid of the monkeys, they keep coming back and eat everything he had. He and his workers even watched the crops throw stones, hit them with stick and even killed the monkeys but monkeys refuse to stay away.

Monkey Witchcraft

Finally the farmer find a way to keep away the monkeys but the monkeys made Juju (witchcraft) so it started to rain, when the workers saw the rain, they went home thinking that the monkeys wouldn’t eat the crops while it rained, not aware of the monkeys witchcraft so that they could eat in the rain.

When the farmer saw this, he ordered a roof to protect the workers from the rain and he managed to kill many monkeys.

Babalawo

The farmer had many wives and one day when a diviner came to town, he predicted to the farmer, that if he kept killing monkeys.

None of his wife would be able to give him children, this because monkeys are very wise and powerfull and they have the faculty to send Àbíkú (born to die prematurely) to his wives wombs. He was told to let the monkeys eat from his crops on his land.

The farmer did not believe the Babaláwo and kept killing monkeys. The monkeys met up and started to plane a way of vengeance the farmer until they came up with the idea to send the Àbíkús.

Two of the monkeys transformed to Àbíkús and went to the womb of the farmer’s wife and when the wife gave birth, she gave birth to two children at the same time.

This was the first time anybody gave birth to two children at once and some said “good fortune for the farmer” while others said “this is a bad sign to the farmer, since only monkeys give birth to twins.

But because the twins where Àbíkús they soon died, and the monkeys returned to the place of the “unborn”.

Again one of the wives got pregnant and when she gave birth, she also gave to birth to a pair of twins, and because they where monkeys they soon died again, and so all the wives went through the same thing.

Orunmila

The farmer got desperate, because he did not have children to inherit to. He traveled to a faraway place to consult with Òrúnmìlà, and was told that his problems where provoked by the monkeys.

The monkeys where sending Àbíkús to the wombs of his wives, because he caused them a great misery and in vengeance they were doing Juju (witchcraft).

Òrúnmìlà said that if he allow them to eat from his crops, maybe they will stop. The farmer returned to Isokun and stopped the hunt and the killing of the monkeys, soon the monkeys started to eat calmly. Once again one of the wives got pregnant and gave birth to a pair of twins.

The farmer got scared of losing the children the same way he lost the previous once, so he went to consult the Ifá’s oracle, to ensure that his children would not die again, and he was told by Ifá that his twins where not Àbíkús.

He was also told that the monkeys where now appeased. The twins weren’t ordinary children they had the power to reward or punish humans.

Ibeji The Protector

Their protector is Òrìsà Ìbejì and he will send illness, loss (pregnancy) and poverty to anybody who abuse them, and those who treats them well, will be rewarded with children and good fortune.

Ifá also said that no matter what ever made the Ìbejì’s happy has to been given to them. Because the Ìbejì’s where sent to earth by the monkeys, offerings has to been given to Òrìsà Ìbejì. Neither the twins nor their parents are allowed to kill or eat monkeys.

The farmer returned to Isokun and told his wife about Ifa’s revelation. His wives followed Ifa’s recommendations and soon the god fortune returned home to the farmer.

Twins Names In Yoruba

From this day the twins where called: Adanjunkale (sparkling eyes at home). The first one that is borne is called: Taiwo (To-aiye-wo: He who comes to try life).

The second one is called: Kehinde (Ko-ehin-de: He who comes after the other) and is the oldest one. The Yoruba populace believes that Kehinde always sends Taiwo to see if it is worth to live.

Ibeji Representation

The Ìbejìs represents the birth of two or more children at the same time. It is considered that they not only have special powers, they were also sand to earth by Sàngó himself.

She went home she took the male and she thought for a while, she put it down and took the female, and she has another thought.
She later went to Òrúnmìlà and told her that she like both her kids. Àwon méjèèjì ni mo gbè (Èjìogbè)
Òrúnmìlà built her a house in the town and she left the forest to start living in the village with human being.

There was a time I went to Babalawo and the Odu that came out for me is Ogundabede and the Babalawo told me, that, it is called. Olori ole, its related to what you have mentioned here but my concern is, you are saying something different cos the Babalawo told me that... I will succeed in life by lies and fraud but I don't want to believe that cos I wonder why someone will only have to succeed from doing frauds. Please, kindly enlighten me more.

There are several itans (stories) attached to this Odu "Ogundabede" but a skilled Babalawo should know which itan (story) to tell his client that will be meaningful and beneficial to his client.

Notice the bolded, a babalawo can also tell you that you will succeed in life by lies but the fact about this Odu IFA is that it covers everything about fraud, lies, deceits, forgeries... etc. It depends on how the Babalawo interprets it to his clients and the interpretation is entirely based on his clients Ori.
