AgricultureRe: Sack Farming In Nigeria by Babalegba(m): 1:47pm On May 09, 2025
DIVINEEVIDENCE:
Did you use yam setts or whole yams?

I want to try yam sett in sacks.
The yams I bought to eat were already growing,I simply cooked the yam a and planted the bits that were growing. I used Dangote cement bags and some larger sacks. The ones in the larger sacks grew much bigger but the Dangote ones also did well.

I tried this sack farming last year in my compound and I regretted all my hardwork and money.
I also tried it and planted yams and beetroot. The yams came out really well, quite big but the beetroot was a total waste of time and effort.
Looks like success is determined by the choice of crops.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu's Reforms: States Significantly Reduce Debts In One Year by Babalegba(m): 5:04pm On May 03, 2025
Lol, the o.p is desperate to find a tinubu achievement. Fact is there is none.
Tinubu is the worst leader Nigerians has ever had to endure. Economy in ruins, Nigerians starving, insecurity and banditry rampant, healthcare comatose. A common goat would make a better leader

Maybe don't become a Hezbollah terrorist operative.

There’s a special kind of joy in watching cowards who hide behind civilians finally get what’s coming to them. Just like Sinwar and Nasrallah. 😄
Lol. Hamas and Hezbollah are anything but cowards. I'm Christian but cannot support evil. To understand any situation, you have to study the genesis of it. The Israelis are wrong. A man deserves to be treated decently and with dignity, anything else and reactions start manifesting.
Foreign AffairsRe: Meet the MOSSAD Heroes behind the Pager Operation at Lebanon by Babalegba(m): 2:23pm On May 02, 2025
Intelligent people know that the Mossad fools should be jailed for violating the rules of war.
When you bomb pagers anything can happen and innocents die, a driver, pilot and people like that would lose control and innocent people would die.
It was that stunt that made me to turn my back against Israel. They are not good people at all.

Do you actually mean a real sofa, or is it a slang for something else.Lol.
If you mean real sofa chairs, there are plenty on AliExpress with postage included. You pay 200 dollars for sofa and 1200 for transportation. Do factor in custom duty as well as I'm sure no custom officer would see the sofa and not bring out his pen for calculations.
On the other hand you can take a picture of the sofa to a competent furniture maker and tell him to replicate it for for about 800k.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Under Tinubu Has The Highest Number Of Poor People In The World by Babalegba(op): 9:34pm On Apr 25, 2025
The sad fact is that tinubus trumpeted trillion dollars economy has proven to be a mirage. With the ways that things are going we'll be lucky to have a two hundred billion dollars economy.
PoliticsNigeria Under Tinubu Has The Highest Number Of Poor People In The World by Babalegba(op): 8:53pm On Apr 25, 2025
A new report has thrown light on what Nigerians have long suspected, that Nigeria under Tinubu has become a pauper economy.
https://gazettengr.com/nigeria-under-tinubu-has-highest-number-of-extremely-poor-people-globally-world-bank/

Nigerians have undergone pauperisation while the harbingers of misery continue to live large gallivanting across continents at the expense of the broken Nigerian masses

PoliticsRe: Sunhak Peace Prize: Obi, Others Host Special Reception To Honour Jonathan (Video by Babalegba(m): 10:27pm On Apr 22, 2025
I don't understand why the man is being honored. He had the mandate to govern Nigeria but failed and that made people to vote for buhari who also failed.
Failure is being rewarded here. The money he borrowed to fight the insurgency was shared among themselves. Nigerians are still paying the price.

No sugar coating!
There is no rest in peace for a one who commits Suicide.
There is no rest in peace for one who dies without JESUS CHRIST.

Suicide is not an Escape route.
Suicide is murder.
Suicide is an Expressway to Hell.

No matter your Matter,
Cast your cares and Burdens on JESUS CHRIST.
HE alone is Capable to give you rest
You are told to learn at school and college but you refused and pretended to be educated. Firstly depressed people commit suicide meaning it's a psychological issue.
Secondly your god must be more evil than all human beings combined including tinubu. He punishes suicide victims in hell fire for ever for no reason other than they committed suicide.
You are a blasphemer and have a very low opinion of God. Get some sense. Reality and truth is not what you think it is.

PoliticsTinubu Has Done It For Me by Babalegba(op): 3:57pm On Apr 13, 2025
Nairalanders should help me thank Tinubu for the milestone I achieved in doing press ups I have always wanted to be fit and achieve thirty consecutive press ups but living under the UK government of Tony Blair, Gordon Brown,Cameron and the Nigerian government of Jonathan and Buhari made the situation difficult as I was partial to the Burger King double Whopper with cheese in the UK and assorted meat meals in Nigeria.
Buhari tried but I was only able to do twelve press ups in his time.
Tinubu entered causing mass hunger in the land and the pauperisation of the population and voila I'm now able to do forty consecutive press ups and I'm also generally fit cardio vascularly and physically.
Tinubus crash of the naira and the attendant mass starvation has done wonders for my health and even my friends abroad that used to call me an unfit Nigerian man are now in awe of my physical endurance.

So do people like you, do you think the woman was the first to have complained about the AC system. What has stopped the management from changing it or even at least notifying the guest that the AC for that particular room is not working well and offering the room for half the price, let the guest decide, if to take it or not.

They always think oh dem go manage am like that make we leave am. Let's be calling a spade, a spade in this country, she paid for a service which was not rendered to her, whatever she decides to do which she can live with is up to her.
I'm flabbergasted you are taking time to defend obvious wrong.
The woman obviously has head issues and should seek treatment ASAP. There are clear procedures she could have followed to lodge an effective complaint but she chose to go schizophrenic.
She will surely be caught and will face the extant laws of the country. The police and
the judge will certainly not entertain your feeble excuses for her.
AC not cold enough, was she born in an igloo. Some Nigerians are just ridiculous. I lived abroad for over twenty five years but when in Nigeria I know I'm in the tropics and adjust accordingly.
Stop defending evil. That woman will kill someone very soon unless she seeks psychiatric help.

there are some ACs that don't cool every aspect of the room properly, if that is what the owner bought, then it should be replaced. People should learn to render services that was paid for. Which one is because the emvironment was hot that is why the AC does not cold. what is the function of AC again.
I must confess, people like you make me sick of the human race. It's obvious that that kind of woman would stab someone to death with very little provocation and has terrible anger issues yet you are talking about the imperfections of the A.C system

And you don't think after they pay back their loan they can use the 15% tax they collect to build up their infrastructure?
No, tmost of them will not because man is predisposed to selfishness.
Infrastructure is critical to development,so is security, power generation and robust institutions.. By infrastructure I don't mean grandiose projects like the Calabar highway, a functioning train system is more useful.
Business financing is better left to the private sector. Trading should be left to big companies and corporations because their huge scale brings economy of scale into the equation leading to lower prices, better quality and low inflation. Small businesses are not good for an economy, they bring arbitrary pricing and inflation to a country.

mrvitalis:
Good evening everyone

Say we have two (2) villages A and B.. Both villages have land worth 100 billion each, both villagw approach a bank to take out 50 billion naira each to be paid back after 10 years

1) Village A
Village A decide to use the money to build her road, market, schools, church, mosque, stadium and recreational centers, the village A becomes very beautiful and the talk of the state

Village B
Village B said we won't build road or schools, we would keep managing what we have instead... Calls back their sons and daughters

A son making shoe in ABA is given 500 million (loan interest free) to sent up his school factory in the village

A daughter into cloths is given 2 billion to set up a garment factory

Village set ups 70 of their sons and daughters like this with interest free loan to pay back after 5 years and they would pay 15% of their profit as tax to the village

Please after 10 years between Village A and B which would easily pay the loan and which would lose their land
Honest answer please
Village B will become extremely poor with no infrastructure because the sons and daughters will run off with the money and live happily in Europe or US .
I really expect Nigerians to think better than this. Whatever has advantages would have disadvantages. The example scenario is flawed and childish.

BusinessRe: 20 African Countries With Stronger Currencies Than The Naira by Babalegba(m): 8:53pm On Mar 29, 2025
Great100000:
The value of a country’s currency is a key indicator of its economic stability, inflation control, and fiscal management. While the Nigerian Naira has faced significant depreciation in recent years due to inflation, foreign exchange shortages, and economic instability, several African countries have managed to maintain stronger currencies. These nations benefit from factors such as robust exports, sound monetary policies, and diversified economies that help sustain the value of their money.

If you have ever wondered which African currencies hold more value than the Naira, here are twenty countries where the local currency outperforms Nigeria’s.

Tunisian Dinar (TND)

The Tunisian Dinar is one of the strongest currencies in Africa, with 1 TND equivalent to approximately 494.83 Nigerian Naira.

Libyan Dinar (LYD)

The Libyan Dinar stands strong, with 1 LYD valued at about 319.10 Naira.

Moroccan Dirham (MAD)

Seychellois Rupee (SCR)

The Seychellois Rupee stands at approximately 105.50 Naira for 1 SCR.

Eritrean Nakfa (ERN)

The Eritrean Nakfa stands at about 102.57 Naira for 1 ERN.

Ghanaian Cedi (GHS)

In West Africa, the Ghanaian Cedi is more valuable than the Naira. 1 GHS exchanges for around 99.23 Naira.

Eswatini Lilangeni (SZL)

The Eswatini Lilangeni trades at around 84.41 Naira per 1 SZL.

Namibian Dollar (NAD)

The Namibian Dollar is valued at approximately 84.37 Naira for 1 NAD.

Lesotho Loti (LSL)

The Lesotho Loti trades at around 84.33 Naira per 1 LSL.

South African Rand (ZAR)

As of March 2025, the South African Rand is valued at approximately 84.25 Naira per 1 ZAR.

Sierra Leonean Leone (SLE)

The Sierra Leonean Leone trades at about 67.33 Naira per SLE.

São Tomé and Príncipe Dobra (STN)

The São Tomé and Príncipe Dobra is valued at approximately 67.27 Naira for 1 STN.

Zimbabwean Dollar (ZWL)

Zambian Kwacha (ZMW)

Mozambican Metical (MZN)

The Metical stands at 24.06 Naira per 1 MZN

Gambian Dalasi (GMD)

1 GMD exchanges for 21.28 Naira.

You don't really understand how the fiat system works . You look at the numerical realities but not the economic realities. Going by your example, then the yen is weaker than the cedi but the reality is that the Japanese economy is so strong that they battle deflation..
The governor of the Zimbabwe Central Bank would give balls just to get the zig on a par with the naira..
The naira is weaker than it should be because Nigerians are economic illiterates, corrupt, selfish, weak and without control.
